3rd Person POV

     Yang and Weiss take to the arena as the rest of their friends take seats in the stands. Weiss was still a little distracted by the fact that her sister was not being supportive of her adopting two boys she hardly knew, she is shaken back to reality when Yang asks.

Yang: So, you're from Atlas, Weiss. Got any ideas who we'll be facing?

Weiss: Seeing as their from Atlas, I expect proper and well organized-

       One of their opponents then zooms past behind them and circles back to her partner, revealing two people who were far from proper. One was a man wearing slacks, buttoned shirt, a vest, a fedora and wielding a trumpet. The woman had poofy, wild, tie-dyed hair and wearing roller blades.

Neon: Wow, you two are our opponents? *to Yang* You look wonderfully well built and would be a great skater, although your chest would put you off balance.

Yang: Huh? There's nothing wrong with my chest!

Neon: *mockingly* There's nothing wrong with my chest!

Yang: Hey! Quit copying me!

Neon: *mocking* Hey! Quit copying me!

Yang: You're the one copying me!

Neon: You're the one copying me! *giggles*

Yang: *growls*

Flyntt: You're Weiss Schnee, right?

Weiss: Nice to meet someone who actually recognizes me.

Flyntt: You're dad put mine out of buisness, I'm here for a little payback.

Weiss: I'm sorry for your loss and-

Flyntt: Don't act all high and mighty now, you're no better than the rest of your family.

Weiss: Don't judge a book by it's cover. *readies for battle*

Oobleck: Alright, battle, begin!

Swoop: Go mommy!

Snarl: *whistles loudly*

Slag: Knock them dead!

Yang fires first but their opponents are quick to react and split up, Neon goes after Yang, didging her attacks and out maneuvering her with her skates, mocking her all the way. Flyntt used his trumpet as a sound based attack which was messing with Weiss' ability to use her glyphs.

Weiss: Freezer Burn!

Yang: Yeah!

      Weiss manages to shake Flyntt long enough to create a ice field, Yang then leaps into the air and uses a fire imbued punch to create a cloud of fog, the pair then use the fog to hide their movements. However, Flyntt used his Semblance to create clones of himself to amplify his sound attack output and uses it to clear the field of the fog before Weiss and Yang can make their attack. Neon then rushes around the pair and seperates them Flyntt continued using his Semblance on Weiss while she used a white shield glyph to block. Yang meanwhile was forced onto the ice part of the battlefield and can't quite keep her footing on the ice and got blindsided several times.

Slag: Come on, mom! Get that huntress wannabe!

Swoop: Get 'em, Mommy!

Weiss manages to endure the attack long enough for Flyntt to run out of breath and stop his semblance, but the attack took it's toll and Weiss collapsed to her knees.

Weiss: *thoughts* I can't control what my father does, *looks at her sons in the stands* but I can't pretend it's out of my hands anymore. *looks at Flyntt about to attack Yang* I need to bring honor back to the Schnee family the only way I know how.

Weiss rushes in and tackles Flyntt into a steam vent on the fire side of the battlefield just before the vent let out a huge forceful vent of steam, Yang turns around to see the steam disappear and Weiss is on the ground, her Aura depleted, but Flyntt is suprisingly still standing but dangerously low.

Porter: *intercom* Incredible! Weiss tried to save her teammate from a sneak attack.

Oobleck: Unfortunately, she is no longer able to battle, while Flyntt is still standing.

Flyntt: You sacrificed yourself for her? Why?

Weiss: *weak* Never judge a book by it's cover. *passes out*

Yang: Weiss!

     Yang then gets really angry and activates her Semblance, she then punches into the arena with all her might creating a shockwave as well as sending ice chunks in every direction. Flyntt is put off balance and Neon loses her groove, Yang rushes Flyntt first and before he can attack, she uppercuts Flyntt sending him into a rock destroying the remainder of his Aura. Neon recovers and goes after Yang, to which she responds with clotheslining Neon and sending her into another steam vent, Neon tries to avoid it by skating around but Yang was already into her final attack by punching Neon as hard as she could and slamming her into the ground ending the match.

Porter: Whoa! That was an impressive show of brute strength and unwavering determination.

Oobleck: And with Yang's Semblance helping her, she has managed to gain the win for Team RWBY. Well done.

Yang: *Semblance deactivates* Weiss!

     Yang runs over and sits Weiss up as she slowly recovers.

Yang: Weiss, are you okay?

Weiss: Yeah, you?

Yang: Easy peasy. Thanks for the save.

Weiss: Anything, for a.... friend.

Everyone is cheering from the stands, but not as loudly as Swoop and Snarl, Slag was trying to keep his composure but couldn't help but smile and clap.

Afterwards, Weiss was checked by medics for any signs of smoke inhalation and released to be congratulated by her friends and family. The other matches in the tournament went on normally, and Yang was chosen to represent RWBY in the singles round. But as the team pass the guest dorms, Grimlock's nose picks up the scent of a worringly familiar scent. He makes sure the adults aren't looking and follows the scent up to the second floor and to a door where he heard voices on the other side.

Cinder: What's the lineup for tomorrow?

Emerald: Well, Team RWBY are sending their blonde bimbo to the singles and Pyrrha Nikos is making it for sure.

Cinder: Alright, Mercury, the Blonde is yours, we'll use her as an example.

Mercury: How do we plan to do that?

Cinder: Let's just say-

*floor board creaks*

Emerald: Someone's outside.

    Grimlock turns to run but Mercury was way too fast and opened the door first, grabbed Grimlock and threw him into the room, Mercury locked the door as the other two approached Grimlock.

Cinder: A child?

Emerald: *turns Grimlock's face to hers* I know this one. He belongs to the one with the red cape, she cares for him.

Cinder: How much did you hear, little one?

Grimlock: Me. Grimlock, don't know- *Mercury kicks him in stomach*

Cinder: Don't play dumb with us, you're nothing to the world and I'm sure no one will miss you.

Grimlock: *growls* Grimlock, no talk! *Emerald hits the back of his head* *falls knocked out*

Emerald: He's one of the kids that transform into dinosaurs.

Cinder: Ah, one of the runaway lab rats. Keep him chained and quiet here, keep his Aura drained.

Emerald: Very well.

Meanwhile, later that night in the Team RWBY dorm....

Yang: Grimlock still isn't back?

Ruby: No, I'm starting to get really worried about him. He's never gone for this long or this late. *hops down from her bunk* I'm going to go look for him.

Sludge: Sludge, help!

Blake: Ah, ah, ah, it's bed time, young man.

Sludge: *bummed* Aw, Mommy!

Blake: Nope, it's bed time, now.

Sludge: *gets in bed bummed out*

Blake: *kisses Sludge's forhead* It's too dark for you to be outside, sweetheart. Get some sleep, you can look in the morning.

     Sludge, finally falls asleep as Ruby walks outside the dorm building.

Ruby: Grimlock? Grimlock?! Please, Grimlock, if you can hear me please answer me! Grim!

Qrow: Ruby?

Ruby: Uncle Qrow, have you seen Grimlock?

Qrow: No, I haven't. Why?

Ruby: I turned around for one minute and when I turned back he was gone. I thought he went to talk with Team JNPR or one of the food stands, but he never returned. I'm really worried about him, he never stays away for this long.

Qrow: Alright, alright, calm down. Take a night and rest up, I will look around tonight. Rest up and start fresh in the morning.

Ruby: But-

Qrow: Hey, he'll be okay. You taught him well, he can handle himself. Just let me handle it.

Ruby: Oh, I'm just so worried about him, he's important to me.

Qrow: And because he's important to you, *put's a reassuring hand on Ruby's shoulder* he's important to me too.

Ruby: .... Thank you, Uncle Qrow. *hugs Qrow* Please find him.

Ruby returns to her dorm still worried sick for Grimlock, but manages to get some sleep.
