3rd Person POV

Pietro Polendina is putting the finishing touches on a part of the Amity Communications Tower when he recieves a communication from Penny.

Penny: Dad?

Pietro: Penny?

Penny is sitting on front of a bomb inside the Schnee Dust Mine.

Penny: This does not seem like a very good idea.

She looks down at the bomb, her sensors telling her that it is a danger.

Pietro: There is a difference between a good idea and our best idea. Sadly, we don't have time for much else.

Penny touches the bomb's interface, arming it. Meanwhile, Pietro rides the elevator center floor of Amity Colosseum downwards.

Pietro: We have enough systems up and running to broadcast our message and keep Amity in atmospheric orbit. But our thrusters just aren't capable of reaching our target altitude on their own.

On the lowest level, Maria is directing Swoop where to put a large machine.

Maria: Ha, fortunately, we're sitting on a couple hundred tons of thrust.

Swoop: I'm liking this plan more and more. *laughs*

Swoop walks to the center of the platform and sets the machine down.

Pietro: Once we passed into broadcast range, we'll activate the stabilizers, re-establish global communications, and boost the message we've recorded out into the rest of the world. After that, we just have to pilot Amity away from all this mess.

Brains: While I work on getting a signal to Cybertron to get help for Grimlock.

Maria: What seems to wrong with him?

Brains: I honestly couldn't tell ya. He's weak, he's coughing up blood, which gets worse every time he transforms now. If anyone can make sense of what's ailing Grimlock, it's Ratchet.

Swoop: Well, let's not waste any time getting this bird in the air.

Penny arms another bomb in the mines and flies up to a tunnel where yet another bomb is sitting.

Penny: But what if no one is able to come and help Atlas? If I stay behind, maybe I can--

Pietro: We are not having this conversation again. I'm your father and I'm telling you that you belong on Amity.

Swoop: That's a bit harsh.

Maria: He's a parent trying to look after his own kid, I'm sure Weiss does the same to you every now and then.

Swoop: Yeah, I guess so.

Pietro: Prepare the launch seqeunce, please. I'll move us into position.

Penny flies out of the Dust mine and up to Amity Tower. Once she arrives, she sits on the edge of the platform, while Pietro and Brains work on a computer projected by the machine that Swoop placed.

Pietro: All systems are ready. Penny?

Penny looks at him then gets up and walks over.

Pietro: Amity is requesting launch access... now.

Penny looks at the screen, which says "Connecting..." She looks down, waiting. Pietro and Maria look at Penny, and after a few moments, her eyes glow slightly. The tower's stabilizers activate, glowing purple, and Pietro and Maria celebrate.

Pietro: Oh yes, it worked!

Penny smiles, but then lowers her head. Pietro places his hand on her arm to comfort her, and she looks at him and smiles. He then begins typing on the computer again.

Pietro: Oh, I didn't have time to install seatbelts, so I advise you to hang on.

Pietro taps a button on his walking chair, and parts of the chair start glowing purple. Maria laughs and walks away, Swoop stands next to Penny, he then elbows her in the side, she looks at him as he speaks.

Swoop: You're dad's in safe hands. Go help Ruby and Grimlock, please?

Penny is surprised at first, but then grows a smile and nods and flies out of Amity against Pietro's protests.

Pietro: Penny wait--

Swoop: You gotta let her live her life, old man.

Pietro: She is my daughter with an entire city looking her!

Swoop: You keeping here is not helping her. Besides, I can keep you guys safe by myself.

Suddenly, there is a large thud, followed by a fireball flying up through the air. Swoop draws his two machine guns, activates his new jetpack and flew to the edge of the platform and looks down to see huge hole where the firball melted through from outside the colosseum. An airship levitates up from the smoke, and atop the ship stands Cinder Fall with flames coming from her hands.

Cinder: And where do you think you're going?

Pietro and Maria grows a scared expression, while Swoop simply scowled.

Swoop: You've got a lot of nerve showing your ugly mug around here.

Cinder: Aw, and I was hoping for more of a challenge, like maybe the Triceratops or even that pathetic Grimlock, not the small fry flier.

Swoop: Trust me, I am more than a match for a nobody like yourself. You really think Salem cares about you, she cares about nothing and no one. You are nothing but a pitiful, sad, weak, coward with serious entitlement issues.

Cinder grew angry at this and flew straight for Swoop, who was quick to fly up and then cut his jetpack engines and kick Cinder in the back, sending her under the platform and onto the floor. The airship lands and both Emerald and Neo exit the airship. The timer on the bombs expires and the bombs explode, setting off a chain reaction of Dust eruptions. As the colorful explosions intensify, four jets on Amity Tower activate. The combined force causes the tower to begin flying into the air, which slams Swoop into the floor. Cinder braced herself on her hands and knees.

Emerald was forced to the ground by the Tower's ascent. She looks at Cinder who is now solely focused on Swoop.

Cinder: You're nothing more than a weapon to be used.

Swoop refocuses as Cinder throws a fireball at him, he activates his jetpack and flies up to avoid it.

Swoop: Look who's talking.

Swoop fires his machine guns at Cinder, which she manages to block with her Maiden powers.

Swoop: Wanna fly? Let's fly.

Swoop's jetpack powers up and launches him into the air, Cinder is quick to follow. Swoop flew outside the tower while avoiding Cinder's fireballs, when he's high enough, Swoop turns around and fires his machine guns again, Cinder flew left, then spun over and right, she used her powers to create two glass swords. Swoop was quick to defend himself and block three successive sword strikes before Swoop caught the final strike and kicked Cinder in the stomach sending her tumbling backwards, he then fired his rocket launcher attachment at her and explodes on contact.

Back down in the Tower, Maria had climbed into a construction mech, Neo had piloted the airship around while Emerald made it invisible to Maria thanks to her Semblance. Maria looked around, but noticed the airship too late and it slammed into the mech, Maria managed to grind it to a halt and starts wrestling with it.

Cinder is then seen crashing on the ground, Swoop transfomed his machine gun into wrist blades and dives towards Cinder, Cinder recovered and threw another fireball in Swoop's face sending him crashing across the room in a cloud of dust.

Maria was still wrestling with the airship.

Maria: Stupid, clunky machine!

Maria manages to slam the airship down onto the floor, and Neo reverses the ship until it breaks free from the mech's grip and floats away. Maria looks around only to see the ship has once again disappeared. She then notices Emerald using her Semblance to hide the ship from her sight. The ship once again slams into the mech and keeps going until the mech is slammed into a wall. Neo parks the airship and gets out.

Maria opens the cockpit and starts to climb out, only to see Neo standing in front of her. In the distance, Emerald calls out to Neo.

Emerald: Let's go!

Emerald hurries out of the arena, the reason for this was because, Swoop had decided enough was enough and transformed into his robot form and lured Cinder outside the tower, but Neo only spares her a glance before looking back down at Maria.

Maria: And what do you want?

Neo leans down to Maria and uses her Semblance to make herself identical to Ruby. She then grabs Maria and tosses her out of the mech. Maria rolls and gets to her feet, sliding to a stop with a confidant grin. On the platform above, Pietro watches as Maria begins dodging Neo's attacks. He hurries back to the computer, and while Brains continues trying to contact Cybertron, Pietro checks on the Tower's status.

Pietro: Please, please, please!

The screen displays an image of Amity Tower above a green dotted line that says "Broadcast Range". The top of the screen says "Broadcast Range Achieved".

Pietro: Yes!

However, as the tower's stabilizers activate, the text on the screen changes to "Warning! Stabilizer Fail", with a diagram and multiple windows appearing. The screen then changes again to display Amity Tower dipping below the now dotted yellow line. The top of the screen says "Broadcast Signal Lost In-" with a countdown timer for three minutes. The hole that Cinder burned into the colosseum is directly next to one of the stabilizers, causing it to malfunction and struggle to remain active.

Pietro: We're... drifting?

Pietro begins typing on the computer, Brains then transforms into robot mode and asks.

Brains: Isn't there any way to redirect the power to get that stabilizer working?

Pietro: Yes, but it won't do us any good if we can't get back to our broadcast height.

Brains: Here.

Brains hands Pietro a communicator and says.

Brains: Tell me where to go, I'll fix the stabilizer.

Brains hops down and slides down the rafters to the ground, then starts running across the floor.

Outside Swoop and Cinder are in a intense aerial dog fight, Swoop transforms into his Dinobot mode and flies down towards the ground, Cinder readies a massive fire laser. But when she fires it, Swoop spun right, turns up and maximized his thrusters to tackle her. Cinder flew up and Swoop continued flying away from the colosseum, Cinder gave chase and the two tried to tackle each other switching between chasers. Cinder then realized what Swoop was doing and stopped, she floated in midair until Swoop checked his rear and saw she wasn't giving chase. He stopped and looked at her, Cinder then raced back towards the Colosseum, but because Swoop was so far back, he knew he might not make it before she does something to compromise the tower.

Swoop: *strained speech* Gotta protect them!

Swoop maximized his thrusters again and raced back towards the colosseum.

In a corridor with hanging wires and unused and knocked over construction equipment, Brains is making his way to, somewhere.

Pietro: Now follow the lit up purple cables they carry the gravity dust for the stabilizers.

Brains: Gotcha.

Back in the colosseum itself, Pietro's station shakes, he looks up to see Cinder burning the metal beams holding up the communications platform, successfully melting three of them before she hears Swoop's mechanical screech. Swoop dove in and kicked Cinder away with his feet.

Swoop: Why Are you doing this? Who hurt you to think you need to side with Salem?

Cinder: *smiling* I don't serve anyone. And you wouldn't either if you weren't created that way.

Swoop: You think that just because I was given these abilities I have to serve others, I choose to protect those who actually love me. You are just selfish.

The melted beams start to give way, Swoop fires a rocket at Cinder, which she foolishly tried to protect herself with fire, causing an explosion, knocking her back. Swoop then grabbed some pieces of broken walls and railings and set them underneath the platform. Cinder recovered in this timeframe and created a large number of flame swords and sent them at Swoop, he couldn't block them and could only tank the swords as best he could, before they cause an explosion sending Swoop to the ground. Cinder then used a prolonged fire stream on Swoop and he starts groaning in pain.

Meanwhile, Brains had reached the melted Dust cables and starts moving them and uses his piece of shrapnel to cut into a intact cable that leads to the malfunctioning stabilizer and attaches the melted cable, he hears the stabilizer powering up properly and gets on his communicator.

Brains: Power re-routed! We need to get to our broadcast height now!

Back in the colosseum, Swoop is still being burned by Cinder's Maiden fire, he manages to stare at Cinder and then to Pietro and Maria, who is now being beaten by Neo, and says to himself.

Swoop: I am not a weapon, I am not a monster, I am a Dinobot! *out loud* *Roars*

Swoop powers through the fire stream, causing a shockwave, disrupting Cinder's concentration. Everyone stops what they're doing as Swoop's robot forms body transforms into a new, taller, more powerful build.

Swoop: *ROARS*

Cinder growls before amassing all her power and throwing a laser beam of power at Swoop, he reaches out with his open hand and grabs Cinder, before lifting her up-

Emerald: No!

-and throwing Cinder into the floor creating a small crater, the dust clears and Cinder's Aura is seen flashing before breaking, Emerald gets down to Cinder and grabs her, Swoop was about to stop her, when she drew her pistol and fired a shot at him, the shot simply bounced off Swoop's armor. She then used her Semblance to make both Cinder and herself disappear, Swoop looks around confused, before movement is heard and Neo is seen joking Emerald and Cinder on their airship.

Emerald: Let's go!

Neo reluctantly took off, Swoop was about to pursue, but Brains and Pietro stopped him.

Pietro: Let them go! We have a more urgent issue.

Brains: The stabilizers are back online, but the thrusters can't get us back up to our broadcast height!

Maria: So, how do we get back up there?

Swoop thinks for a moment and hears Grimlock's orders again, lift it. Swoop looks up and transforms into his new Dinobot form and screeches before climbing out of the colosseum and taking flight.

Brains: What's he doing?

Swoop circles around to the bottom of Amity, turns his back to the tower and presses up against it, he then flaps his wings with the force of hurricanes and starts slowly lifting the whole colosseum higher into the sky.

Inside, Brains and Pietro see what's going on and watch the computer screen.

Pietro: He's really doing it.

Brains: He's lifting the whole damn place!

Swoop: *Screech*

Swoop continued beating his wings as hard as he could. Pietro's computer screen shows Amity going back up until the top of the screen says "Broadcast Range Achieved".

Pietro: Yes!

Maria: He did it!

Brains: The Power of the Dinobots!

Pietro activates the stabilizers again and this time, they stay on and function properly. A window labeled "User Input Needed To Continue" appears on screen, asking "Initiate Broadcast Operational Sequence?" with buttons for "Yes" and "Cancel". Pietro brings his fis down on the keyboard.

All of the screens in the Atlas military base suddenly display a broadcast color pattern and with the text "Atlas Emergency Broadcast System" displayed at the top, emitting a long tone. A large screen on a building in Mantle flickers on, displaying the same image for a moment before switching to a pre-recorded video of Ruby, with Blake's voice coming from off-camera. Two drunk men in Mantle look at the screen then at each other.

Blake: Okay, go ahead.

Ruby: Um, uh. Hi. My name is Ruby Rose. I'm a Huntress. And if we've done everything right, then I'm talking to all of Remnant right now. Dr. Polendina can explain more later, but right now you all need to know that the Kingdom of Atlas is under attack.

The video is broadcast to TVs and Scrolls all over Remnant. People in Mistral Central Station begin watching it, as do Saphron Cotta-Arc and Terra Cotta-Arc, Adrian grins and waves his hands at the image of Ruby.

Ruby: Things are dire and we need help. But please, try not to panic. This isn't some new enemy or invading Kingdom. This is a force we've faced before, for centuries... Salem.

Whitley watches sadly from his father's office desk, resting his arms on the desk with his chin in his arms. He tenses and lowers his gaze when Ruby states that they need help. In the Mantle crater, refugees and Fiona's uncle are gathered together, watching. In Vacuo, Neptune and Sun are watching from their Scrolls, and they look at each other.

Neptune: Dude.

Ruby: The White Fang, Atlesian Drones, even the Grimm themselves have all been controlled and manipulated by her, in order to tear down the Huntsman Academies.

In Menagerie, Illia is sitting on a roof watching from her Scroll, when Ghira calls for her. Joanna watches among the citizens in Mantle standong behind two other citizens.

Swoop continues raising Amity higher and higher, until Brains sees his opening and starts trying to contact Cybertron.

Ruby: I know the idea of the Maidens and Relics seems... well... crazy, but I promise Professor Goodwitch of Beacon and Headmaster Theodore of Shade can verify all of this.

A shopkeeper is standing in front of From Dust Till Dawn, and he looks over at Glynda, who happens to be in his shop. She looks stunned.

Ruby: They might be able to organize a way to fight back. But sadly, General Ironwood can no longer be trusted.

Ironwood and the Ace Ops are watching from Pietro's Labratory, and Harriet quickly mutes the TV when Ruby says that Ironwood can't be trusted. Marrow was smiling until the TV was muted. Ironwood walks over to his desk and rests his head on his fists.

In the throne room inside Monstra, Tyrian watches the broadcast on his scroll, while sitting beside the throne with a scowl on his face. Salem places her hand on his head with a smile, and he smiles back as he looks at her.

Ruby: We didn't have time to prepare for Salem. But now you do! Just because she can't be destroyed, doesn't mean she can't be beaten. If she really was unstoppable, she wouldn't act with such caution until now.

Ruby, Weiss and Blake are all sitting next to Weiss' bed in her room watching the broadcast on Blake's Scroll while Pyrrha sits next a still unconscious, and bandaged, Nora.

Ruby: She knows we're a threat. So, even if we-- even if Atlas falls, you can't give up.

Brains: Alright Swoop, we're high enough, the stabilizers can keep Amity Tower in place on their own.

Swoop finally stop and flies back up and climbs down from the top of the colosseum and drops to the ground floor, he transforms back into his human form, breathing heavily.

Elsewhere, Taiyang Xiao Long, is watching the broadcast from his living room on Patch.

Ruby: *smiling hopefully* I hope Amity Tower will help bring us all together. Because in the end, that's how we'll win.

The broadcast ends and the screen returns to a blank screen. Satisfied, Pietro then goes down to Swoop and checks on him. Meanwhile, Brains is still trying to get a message to Cybertron.

Brains: Warship Nemisis, this Autobot Outpost Omega 1, come in. If any Bot is gearing this, respond. Damn it, Autobots pick up the darn call will ya!

Finally though, a static image comes on screen and then focuses, showing a picture of Bumblebee.

Bumblebee: This is Warship Nemisis, who's calling.

Brains: It's me, Brains, you overgrown scrap heap.

Bumblebee: Brains! Finally!

Brains: No time for small talk, I need Ratchet, now!

The view goes from Brains talking to Ratchet, to Swoop finally sitting up on his own as Pietro and Maria check in him.

Pietro: Well done, young man. You helped restore global communications.

Swoop: *weary* Yay, go me.

Maria: Not to be a downer, but can you still fly us to where Penny and the other are?

Swoop: Yeah, just need to catch my breath.

Back up top, Brains is finishing up the call.

Brains: I'm sending you Grimlock's coordinates. Now get your rusty tailpipe into gear and get to Remnant now! *ends call*

Brains then hops down and Swoop manages to transform into his new Dinobot form, and the crew climb on and try to hang on tight. With one flap of his wings, Swoop flies out of the tower and flies towards the Schnee Manor.

Meanwhile, at the military base, Ironwood is displeased with the message from Amity getting out to the world.

Ironwood: Where's Winter?

Winter is piloting a Manta out into the Tundra seemingly looking for something.

Speaking of tundra, at the tundra outpost, Yang, Jaune, Ren, Slag and Slash all look at each other with surprised and pleased expressions.

Yang: I'll be damned, that actually worked.

Slash: *looks out the window* And I can see the tower from here, it's still floating in the sky.

The celebrating is cut short though, when the group hears a loud noise in the distance. The group run outside through the snow in pursuit of the rumbling noises.

Jaune: There's another one. I think it's just up ahead.

The suddenly stop and stare at something with wide eyes.

Ren: What... is this?

Slash: I don't know, but it's scary.

Slash grips Jaune's pants and tries to hide behind him. The ground has broken open, and black liquid is flowing inside the crack. The ground rumbles, and Yang takes a step forward. A piece of dirt with a small bush on it breaks off beneath her foot, and Jaune reaches out in case she falls. The dirt and bush fall into the liquid and instantly dissolve. Soon after, a Sayber head floats to the surface.

Yang: It's Grimm. A river of Grimm...

The group then look where the river is heading, while Monstra hovers in the distance in the opposite direction. They see that the river is snaking it's way across the tundra toward Mantle.

Slag: And heading straight for the Kingdom.
