A/N: Welcome to my 2nd story! This prologue takes place 3 years before Alphonse gets his body back just a FYI! Hope y'all enjoy!

*3 Years Ago*

You stare aimlessly out of the train window. You were on your way to Central to see your uncle, Roy Mustang. (Yeah he's your uncle in this storyX'D) The train stopped in a small town, Risembol. Only 2 passengers got on, that being a short guy with long blonde hair in a braid and a suit of amour... Wait... a suit of amour???! You glance at them, curiosity over came you.

"It isn't nice to stare, ya know..." The short one mumbled crossing his arms.

"S-sorry. I didn't mean too..." You mumbled. Being the snoopy person you are, you asked a question that as soon as it left your mouth, you instantly regretted it. "Why are you in a suit of amour?"

"Oh... I-I um..." The amour spoke. You noticed he had a voice of a young teen... (Btw you are both 13)

"No, never mind. I'm sorry, that was very rude of me. You don't have to answer that..." You quickly said with a apologetic smile.

"It's fine..." He said. The short one kind of gave you a dirty look but you shrugged it off. You sat back down in your original seat by yourself. "Y-You can sit by us if you want..." You hear him speak. A small smile formed on your lips. You glanced at the two, the short one looked pissed but you sat by them anyway. You sat next to the boy in the amour despite there being hardly any room but the shorty scared you, even though you were much taller than him.

"So what are your names?" You asked.

"I'm Edward Elric, the Fullmetal Alchemist." The short one said like he was the best person ever.

"Never heard of you..." You mumbled. Ed rolled his eyes.

"Okay whatever..." He says. You glance at the boy in the armor. Perhaps they were brothers? Maybe he was the oldest? You thought.

"I'm Alphonse Elric but you can call me Al... I'm his younger brother." Now named Al stated. You had a surprised look on your face.

"Oh, I thought that you were the older brother..." you slightly chuckled. Ed glared at you.

"What is that suppose to mean...?" He asked crossing his arms.

"Nothing..." You quickly say, you didn't want to offend a State Alchemist. "Well I guess I should introduce myself now... I'm (Y/N) (L/N) the Fire Alchemist" (yeah you're an Alchemist^_^ Similar Alchemy to Roy!)

"You're a State Alchemist too?" Al asked. You nodded in response.

"Are you related to Colonel Bastard?" Edward asked. You tilted your head.

"He means Roy Mustang..." Al corrected.

"Oh yes I am. He's my uncle. Is that a bad thing...?" You asked concerned.

"Better not be a bastard like Colonel Bastard." Ed mumbled. You scoffed.

"Brother! Don't be rude!" Al said sternly. You smiled, he was so much sweeter than Ed you thought. The train must of went over some bump of some kind cause it caused you to fly up on your seat. The bump also made Al's helmet to fall off. You hesitantly pick it up, when you glance back up at him you noticed he had no head...

"Al...?" You murmured. You were now fully curious on what's going on. Al takes the helmet from you and sighs.

"I guess I should be truthful to you (Y/N)..." He trails off. Al and Ed both explained what happened to them... They lost their mother at a young age... So they decided to bring her back using human transmutation... They both lost something. Edward his left arm, Alphonse lost his whole body... Ed sacrifice his right arm to bond Al's soul into a suit of armor... Al pointed to some type of marking that was inside of the armor. "This blood seal keeps my soul bound to this armor..." He explains placing his helmet back on. You were speechless for a couple moments.

"Damn... I'm sorry..." You finally spoke. Al chuckled slightly.

"No it's okay... We are on a search to find the Philosophers Stone... We believe that it can help us get our original bodies back." Al said. Your eyes widened... The Philosophers stone... You were on the search for the stone too for almost the reasons as well...

"No way, I'm looking for the stone too." You said with slight smile. Both Ed and Al looked at you curiously.

"What do you need it for?" Ed asked. You sighed.

"You see... I need it for a similar reason... My sister and I lost our older brother.... He was the only family we had left besides Mustang... Anyway, after he died, my sister was determine to get him back. So, while I was gone she committed the taboo of transmuting a human. She lost her eye sight... I promised her I'll make things right, I promised her that she'll see again... That's why I need the stone..." You finished closing your eyes.

"Oh, um I'm sorry..." You hear Al softly spoke. You slightly amile.

"No it's fine...." You whispered. You quickly got an idea. "Um hey, since we're looking for the same thing... Maybe we can help each other look for it...?" You shyly asked. The brothers thought for a moment and they whispered to one another. You couldn't tell what they were saying so you were just awkwardly sitting there. It seemed like it was such a big deal for you to tag along with them so you cleared your throat getting their attention. "If it's such a problem for me to come along, I'll just leave..." You said standing up but you feel Alphonse gently grab your wrist. You slowly sat back down.

"No, we'd love for you to come along." Al happily said. A small blush appeared on your face which Ed noticed.

"Yeah why not. It's about time Al gets a girlfriend." Ed teased. Al gapsed.

"Brother! Shut up!" Al nervously said. The blush on your face only increased. 'Wow this is going to be interesting..."' You thought to yourself as the train made it way to Central.

*2 Years later*

*Age 15*

Alphonse's POV:

For the past 2 years of knowing (Y/N), I may have stared to have a crush on her... A really big crush... She was so sweet, smart, and beautiful. I thought she was perfect in every way. Only Brother knew about my crush on her and he'll always tease me about it. Sadly though, I know she didn't have the same feelings for me... How could a beautiful girl like her, have feelings for a walking trash can like me? That's why I was even more determine to get my body back and then maybe she'll like me back. Even though she showed no interest in me... Earlier we realize that the truth about the Philosophers Stone and how it's made of human souls. Ed and I after discovering that wanted to find a different way to get our bodies back. As for (Y/N), there was really no other way for her to get her sisters eye sight back. Knowing that, (Y/N) still wanted to help Ed and me get our bodies back which proved what a kind person she is.

(Y/N)'s POV:

Right now Ed, Al and I were walking to Headquarters. Apparently Roy had to tell me something really important. As we were walking, I slightly looked back at Alphonse. I devolved a crush on him over the years. I could care less if he was a soul in a suit of armor, I still loved him... I know love is a strong word but it was true I love him. To bad I was to chicken to confess... I was just to scared of rejection. Why would he want to be with me anyway. Nobody knew about my crush on him, I kept it bottled up inside. I didn't even act like I liked him when in reality I really do. Anyway we finally made it to Headquarters.

"I wonder what Mustang needs to tell me..." I asked to no one in particular.

"Maybe he wants to give you a mission." Ed suggested. I shrugged.

"I hope not..." I slightly chuckled. We walked up to his office door. I knocked loudly. "Mustang, it's me..." I said as I opened the door. When we entered, I see Mustang sitting at his desk. He looked up at me, he had a sad expression on his face.

"I think you should sit down (Y/N)..." He quietly said. I give him a questingly look but sat down in a chair that was in front of his desk. Ed and Al just stood behind me.

"What's this about?" I asked crossing my arms. He sighed.

"Your sister is dead...." He bluntly says. My eyes widened.

"What...?" My voice cracked. I feel my eyes water.

"She was murdered by the Homunculus Envy... I'm sorry (Y/N)..." He said not giving me eye contact. I feel tears spilling down my face. I slowly stood up and ran out of his office, pushing past Al and Ed.

"(Y/N) wait!" I hear Al call. I didn't slowed down until we were out if the building. They finally caught up to me.

"(Y/N) are you okay...?" Ed asked concern in his eyes. I slowly shook my head. I then feel Ed give me a small hug. I hugged back. As soon as he let me go, Alphonse gave me hug. It was a little awkward but I didn't care, I hugged back.

"It will be okay (Y/N)..." He gently said which caused me to cry more. I released him and I whipped away my tears.

"Well, don't you have to go to Risembol Ed?" I quietly asked.

"Um yeah, but we don't have to go now you know..." Ed said. I shook my head.

"No, it's fine... Let's just go now..." I said looking away.

"Are you sure...?" Al asked. I nodded, I started to walk to the train sattion. Ed and Al followed.

*Time Skip*

Alphonse's POV:

We were half way to Rsembol and (Y/N) hasn't said one word. She's just staring out the window. I guess I would act the same way maybe even worse if Ed died... I inched closer to (Y/N). She noticed and scooted herself closer to me. If I had my body, I bet my face would be blushing.

"Are you feeling better (Y/N)...?" I asked. She slightly shrugged.

"If I'm going to be completely honest, not so much..." She quietly said. She leaned her head on me which made me a little tense. I hate Envy even more for what he did. He killed Maes and now (Y/N)'s sister...

"Well I hope you'll feel better soon... You don't deserve to go through this..." I said.

"Thanks Al..." She softly said. Good thing Ed fell asleep, otherwise he'd be making fun of me for being this close to her... I wish I was human again... I wanted to actually feel (Y/N)'s touch... I hope Ed and I can get our original bodies back soon... I glance outside and noticed that were back in Risembol.

"Brother... We're here!" I loudly said. Ed slowly opened his eyes and yawned.

"Okay... Let's go then..." He mumbled standing up. (Y/N) and I stood up too. We all three walked out to the train and started walking to Winry's house.

*Time Skip*
(Y/N)'s POV:

Once we got to Winry's house, she surprisingly didn't injured anybody with her wrench. Anyway, just like it was on the train, I hardly talked... After a little bit Winry approached me.

"Hey what's wrong (Y/N), you barley said 2 words to me..." She asked. I sighed.

"I found out my sister died so, I'm not doing so good..." I mumbled, a tear rolled down my cheek. Winry comes up to me and gives me a hug.

"Oh I'm sorry...." She said. I hugged back.

"Don't tell anyone but, I just want to take a break ya know... I want to still help Ed and Al but it's just that I can't..." I didn't finish my sentence.

"If you really want to, I'll let you stay with me for as long as you want... I don't mind..." Winry said with a smile. I looked at her shocked. I've met her several times but I wasn't really close to her and she's offering me her home...

"Are you serious?" I asked. She nodded. I give her another hug. "Thank you." I said another tear dripped down my face.

"You're welcome!" She happily said. I released her from the hug and frowned. What am I going to tell them...? I stood up from the couch I was sitting on.

"I'll be right back... I have to tell Ed and Al..." I mumbled. Winry nodded. I walked away from her, trying to find the two brothers. I eventually found Ed in the kitchen. I sat down by him. He looks at me and gives me a smile smile.

"Hey (Y/N). What's up?" He asked. I didn't give him complete eye contact. I hated how I had to leave them but, I just can't deal with the stress.

"Listen Ed... Um," I started, I felt a couple tears come out of my eyes. "I can't come with you and Al... It's to much for me, especially after my sister died... Winry offered for me to stay here so you'll always be able to visit... I hope you understand..." I finished. Ed gave me a sad smile.

"It's okay (Y/N), I totally understand... Do you want me to tell Al or...?" He asked. I smiled at his understanding.

"Oh, I'll tell him, do you know where he is?" I alsked.

"I think he's outside." Ed replied. I give him a small hug before walking off out of the house. It was a pretty cold night. I looked up at the sky and noticed there was a beautiful full moon along with twinkly stars in the background. I looked around and see the suit of armor sitting out on the lawn staring up at the sky. I approached him. He looks at me.

"Hi (Y/N)." He sweetly says. I smile as I sat right next to him.

"Hey Al..." I replied staring back up at the sky. It's going to be so hard to tell him...

"I have to tell you something." We both said in unison. I giggled.

"You go first." He kindly said. I took a deep breath in and out.

"Okay, I can't come with you and Ed anymore... Winry is letting me stay with her... I just need some time to process things... I'm so sorry Al... I hope you understand..." I mumbled. I feel him give me a hug. Despite it being uncomfortable, I hugged back with a blush on my face.

"I understand (Y/N)... You don't have to be sorry either... I'm just going to miss you so much..." He gently said. I blushed more.

"I'll miss you too..." I whispered. I released him from the hug and remember he was suppose to tell me something.

"Hey what did you have to tell me?" I asked glancing at him. He was quite for a moment.

"Never mind... It's not important..." He finally said. I stood myself up.

"Well okay then... Should we get back inside?" I asked. He nodded as he stood us well. We both walked into the house. I wish he told me what he wanted to tell me...

*Time Skip to a few days later*

Today was the day where Al and Ed were going to leave to continue their journey. I was on the urge of tears but I kept my emotions concealed. They were leaving right in the morning so I had very little time to say goodbye. I got downstairs to where everyone was. Ed smiled at me, I smiled back.

"Hey (Y/N)." He said. Al noticed me and he shyly looked away.

"Hey Ed. Hi Al." I said with a sad smile. I don't know what the point was to saying hi when they were leaving right away but oh well. Winry eventually joined us.

"Make sure you two visit! Especially since (Y/N) is here!" She said crossing his arms.

"Yeah yeah we will." Ed said crossing his arms. "Well, I guess this is goodbye..." He said with a sad smile. I gave him a small hug, along with Winry but their hug was a lot longer... I glance at Al who was quite the whole time. I came up to him to give him a hug.

"Bye Alphonse..." I said, a couple tears leaked down my face. He hugged back.

"Bye (Y/N)..." He finally said, sadness in his voice. Ed opened the front door.

"We should get going Al..." He said sadly. Al let go of me and walked by Ed. He turned to face me and gave me a wave. I waved back. They then walked away... More tears dripped down my face.

"Come on (Y/N), they'll be back soon!" Winry said cheerfully. I shrugged.

"I hope..." I mumbled. Please come back soon...
