(Y/N)'s POV:

I have no idea why I asked Al to go outside with me... I'm such a moron... Whatever... We walked totally away from the house. I don't even know where we were going, we were just walking along this dusty dirt trail. There was this silence between us that was really bothering me. Maybe I should speak up? I glance up at the sky and notice that a giant dark cloud was near.

"Hopefully it doesn't storm to bad..." I pointed out. Al looked up too, a small smile appeared on his face.

"Yeah but I do hope for rain though. I love the rain... When I was just a suit of armor, I missed the feeling of the rain. Each time it did, all I could hear was it splash against the metal and never once could I feel it.... But now I can... I tend to enjoy when it rains, it relaxes me." He said, his smile getting bigger. I smiled too... That was so sweet... However, I wasn't a big fan of storms... Rain was fine but the thought of lighting and thunder scares me so much!

"Yeah..." Was all I could say to Al's statement. I couldn't really think of anything else to say. I just want to enjoy this moment, with him... Alphonse randomly stops dead in his tracks. I stop too. I turn around and look at him.

"What's wrong?" I ask tilting my head. He got closer to me. Without looking at me he takes hold of my hands. I blush.

"(Y/N) I-" Al was interrupted by a loud clap of thunder. This caused me to jump. It then started to rain. My eyes widened. No...

"Oh no..." I murmur. Al looks down at me worryingly.

"What's wrong (Y/N). Cramps?" He asked.

"No! It's just that thunder and lighting aren't my best friends..." I mumbled. A bolt of lighting lite up the sky followed by a rumble of thunder. I got closer to Al. I hesitantly wrap my arms around him. He puts his arms around my waist and pulls me closer to him. As it rained harder, the thunder got louder. A tear escaped out of my eye.

"It's okay (Y/N)... Do you want to leave?" He asked. Before I could answer, a lighting bolt loudly hit a tree, making it burst into flames. All I felt was fear. Even from the fire despite being an alchemist who deals with flames. I release Al from the hug and I cover my eyes.

"Al... I-I'm scared..." I shout, tears were streaming down my face. I feel my feet being lifted off the ground. I look up and see Alphonse's face. He picked me up bridal style and carried me away from the tree.

"We have to get you home..." He said to himself. He held on to me tightly as he ran in the rain. I closed my eyes and pretended it wasn't storming. The rain falls on my face so it was hard to pretend... It took forever but Al and I finally made it home. He put me down when we got to the door. He opens it really quietly. When we walked in, both Winry and Ed were in the living room with a candle dimly lighting the room. The power must of went out....

"Where have you guys been?! It's been storming bad!" Winry scolded.

"Yeah we know..." Al replied with a tone in his voice. The thunder kept rumbling. I cover my ears to try to block it out.

"Are you alright (Y/N)?" Edward asked concern in his voice. I ignored him. I quickly run upstairs to my room. I hear Al follow. I sat down on the floor in the corner. Al quickly walked in my room. I shivered from our previous walk in the rain. My clothes were soaked. He went to my bed and pulled off a blanket. He came up to me and put it on me. He sat down beside me, he put his arm around me and pulled me in close to him. (A/N: Kinda like that scene form Ouran Highschool Host Club where Hikaru does something like this to Haruhi. Awe, that scene was so cute!)

"(Y/N), you'll be okay..." He calmly says. I snuggled next to him, a small blush on my face.

"O-okay..." I murmured... I know it'll be okay but I'm still scared. I quickly glance at the window and see that it's still raining.

"I have to tell you something important... But I don't know how to put it into words since we always seem to get interrupted...." He all of sudden says.

"Yeah what is it....?" I asked, feeling more heat rush to my cheeks. He gets his arm off of me. I look at him in confusion. He then hugs me to a position where my head was snuggled up against his chest.

"Do you hear that....?" His soft voice asked. I carefully listen. I hear his heart, it's beating so fast. Probably just as fast as mine... I nodded my head. I feel his hand pull up my chin so I was staring into his eyes. They were full of passion.
"I always feel this way when I'm with you..." He said with a small smile.

"Al...." I mumbled.

"The point is, I-I think, no, I know, I know that I love you... For the longest time, I had these feelings for you... Even when I was a suit of armor, I loved you but, I was to afraid to tell you because I thought you'd reject me cause I was just a soul... When I did get my body back, I was still to scared. I'm sorry I waited this long to tell you. You probably don't have the same feelings but I just wanted to tell you that..." He quietly states with a giant blush on his face. I was speechless...
"Oh my God, I'm sorry.... That was stupid! I shouldn't of said that! I-" I interrupted his rambling by wrapping my arms around his neck and giving him a tight hug.

"Alphonse, I-I love you too... To be honest, I loved you ever since I met you it seems like... It didn't matter to me that you were a suit of armor before... It matter that you were nice, sweet, and kind to me. I fell in love with your soul before and now, your looks are just a bonus.." I said with a small smile. I feel his hands go on my shoulders. He pushes me back a little so he was staring intensely into my (e/c) eyes. He then slowly leans in... He's about to kiss me... I close my eyes and lean in too. Just as out lips were about to touch, I hear the door open...

"YES!!! YOU GUYS FINALLY CONFESSED!!" I hear Winry shout as she bursts through the door. My face instantly turns red, redder than before. Ed walks into the room too.

"Good job little bro!" He says with a wink. I just stood there dumbfounded. They were eavesdropping....

"Brother, Winry get out..." Al said.

"But Al!" Winry begged. Al turned around to face them.

"I said now! Please..." He yelled annoyance in his voice. Ed and Winry backed off.

"Okay, bye Al. Bye (Y/N)! Have fun!" Ed said before closing the door and walking away with Winry. Glad they left... Alphonse turned and faced me. All of sudden, he softly slams his lips on to mine. My eyes widened in surprise. I kiss back as I slowly closed my eyes. I feel his hand go to the back of my head so he could push me in closer. I wasn't feeling butterflies, I was feeling the whole damn zoo... The kiss itself was long and sweet. Unfortunately, we needed to breath so we pulled apart. He smiled. I smiled back

"Wow...." We said in unison. I smiled and shyly looked away.

"(Y/N)...?" He quietly says. I look back up to him.

"I-I would like for you to be my girlfriend... Please...?" He asked nervously. His face is darker than mine. I giggled at his cuteness.

"Yes, I'd love to." I said with a crimson blush on my face. His smile got wider. This time, I leaned in and kissed him. This one was more passionate. We broke apart for air. He put his arms around my waist and pulled me in for a hug. I hugged back.

(Y/N), the most beautiful girl ever, and I are now finally together! I can't believe it! I hugged her tightly. She just made me the happiest guy ever.

"I love you (Y/N)..." I whisper in her ear.

"I love you too Alphonse..." She whispers back. My heart was beating so fast... We released each other from the hug. I looked out the window to see that the storm passed. Feels like it was ages ago that it was just thundering.

"Do you want to go back outside?" She asked me.

"Only if you want to..." I replied. I didn't want her to get scared again... She nods her head.

"Yeah, I do. Let's get going..." She mumbles. She walks over to the bedroom door, I follow.

We finally made it outside after a billion questions from Brother and Winry. As we were walking, I hesitantly reach for her hand to hold it. Our finger interlock with one another.

"Look a rainbow." (Y/N) points out looking up into the sky. I look up to see the pretty vibrant colors. I smiled.

"Rainbows remind me of you..." I said quietly.

"Why is that?" She asked.

"Well when ever I look at rainbows, I always seem to smile. Not to mention that they're beautiful... That's the way I feel about you... Overall I love rainbows..." I mumbled. She giggles.

"I love rainbows too... No matter how bad the storm gets, in the end, there will always be a rainbow. I guess that's how life is, no matter how hard life can get or how bad it may seem, it will always end with sunshine and a rainbow" She stares at it with a smile. I smiled too. The rest of our walk was silent which didn't bother me. As long as I was by her side, I'll always be happy.....

End of chapter eight! Finally you and Al got together! Like, I was wondering when it would happen! Haha just kidding. Sorry it took so long for this chapter to come out! Been busier than what I thought I'd be! I have a question about the future for this story, since reader and Al are now a couple, and since couples, you know, do things, if you know what I mean.... Should I write a chapter with a lemon in it? I understand if some of you don't want me to. If I'm being honest, I myself read lemons ever so often so, I thought it would be a change to write one...
