"How long is this racing thing going to last? Our mid terms are coming up soon." Laura asked as we all entered Jace's house.

    "That's true." I replied. It's been a couple of weeks since the first tournament and we've all been putting out whole time into cracking the code for the race. According to Laura, mid terms were very important for our grades.

   "The semi finals are beginning this week so the finals should be either in two or three weeks time." Luke replied and Laura groaned.

   "Stop whining you don't even attend the races anymore." Cole said earning a glare from Laura. Ever since the first race, Laura and I didn't attend any other race. Jace said it was for our safety and I wasn't even complaining. The whole racing environment was definitely not for me.

   Cole ran straight to the kitchen and Luke followed right behind him. I sat on the one of the kitchen stools and watched as Laura and Luke searched for something to eat.

   My mind wandered off to the mission and I groaned. The group gave me a weird look before continuing their food hunt. I didn't know how long I had to complete my mission but that didn't mean I had all the time in the world. I should check on how Oliver is doing with his mission..

   "Oh hey guys." A voice called from the stairs. Celine came down with her makeup looking like that of a crazy person.

   "What happened to your face?" Laura asked scrunching her face in diagust. Cole and Luke exchanged a look of shock at her presence alone.

   "How long have you been here?" Jace asked when Celine made no move to answer the first question. She took a mirror from her bag and began to wipe the crazy make-up.

  "Annie said I should watch the kids since you guys went out." Celine explained using more wipes on her face. "The twins went all out on my face." She mused.

   "You should've said something when we entered and not go all joker on us." Cole said, holding his chest dramatically.

   "That's because the twins were busy with my face. Besides have you looked at the mirror before, you look a lot worse than the joker." She retorted and they continued their banter as usual. Laura gave up her search and took out her phone.

   "I'm ordering pizza." She said and we all agreed.

  "Do you want to join us Celine?" I offered and she shook her head.

  "Nah, I have homeworks piled up. " She replied and I remembered something.

  " You can have my history note, I'm done using it for now." I said and she nodded frantically.

   "Thanks a lot, you're a lifesaver." She said and I rushed upstairs to get the note. I heard my room door open but I didn't pay any attention to it.

   "Is Jace still racing?" Celine asked from behind me and I froze.

  "Why do you ask?" I asked her, trying not to answer her directly because 1. Jace might not want anybody else to find out about the tournament and 2. I didn't want to deny and lie in the process.

   "Nothing." She shrugged and took the note from me happily. "The mid terms are so close, wanna study together?" She asked and I nodded.

   "Sure." I replied and she left. I packed my backpack and decided to go downstairs. I looked inside the twins room and found them sound asleep. They were covered in colours and papers.

   "They must've worked themselves out." Jace said and I nodded absentmindedly. He walked over to the twins and carried Jake first, placing him on the lower bunk bed. Then he carried Jack and placed him beside his twin. They are definitely going to argue about that when they wake up.

    "Let's go." Jace said in a low tone. Sparks flew in my hand and I realized that Jace had held me. I looked at his hand on mine and I felt a thousand butterflies in my stomach. Jace had a cheeky smile on his face and I couldn't help but smile, it was contagious.

   The pizza had arrived and Cole was already helping himself.

   "Elena! You're here." Cole exclaimed but his speech was a bit distorted because his mouth was filled up. He quickly swallowed what was in his mouth before continuing. "We thought Celine had grabbed you with her long arms."

   I shook my head at his childishness and grabbed a slice of pizza. A circular food that was divided into triangles packed inside a square box.. I'll never understand humans.

   "You know Cole, your dislike for her can either be two things. One, you honestly dislike her and two, a pretty crazy love story." Laura said making Cole choke on his pizza.

   "Love story? More like death story. I just have a bad feeling about her. Ever since she put the blame on Elena that time, I just increased the hatred." Cole said shrugging and I sighed.

  "You guys talk a lot. Let's eat."Luke said. I sat beside Laura on the floor while Jace sat on the single chair.

  "Jace what are you looking at? Cole is eating two slices at a time." Laura said smacking Cole's hands as he tried to take more. Jace tore his eyes away from his phone and sighed.

  "There are only two semi final races left and the next hint is pretty difficult." He said keeping his phone between Laura and I. The next hint just had two words.. Don't Stop.

   "What do you think that means?" Cole asked and Luke shrugged.

   "Accelerator makes the car move and brakes it stop. You don't think they want to mess with the brakes right?" I asked and Laura widened her eyes.

   "That'd be bad." Luke said and everyone nodded in agreement.

   "Very." I added.

    "It's simple." Cole said before burping loudly. I cringed in disgust at his behaviour. "Before the race, only the racers are allowed in the garage where the cars are parked. If Jace keeps watching over his car till the race, then no one tampers with it. Plus it's currently parked in Luke's house so unless someone breaks in, it's safe." Cole concluded and I looked at him on surprise. Every other person had the same reaction, probably because he said something smart.

    "That was smart." Jace commented and Cole shrugged.

    "I told you guys I'm Einstein." He said proudly. My eyes wandered off to the bag behind him and I saw my English homework peeking out from it.

   "Is that my homework?" I asked him accusingly and he quickly zipped his bag.

   "It's impossible for me to do that homework myself." He claimed, his eyes were opened widely making him look like an animated boy. "Plus I saw it on the couch so I just borrowed it." He added and I shook my head.

   "Einstein..."
