4th Chapter
" Huma Hatun, I have a letter for you." Selma, a maid which Humasah gave to serve me, said to me as she came inside my new chambers.
I didn't know if I can still believe Selma, but I was sure Humasah would never send me someone who I couldn't trust.
" Who is it from?" I asked her before she gave me the letter.
" I don't know, Sultana. Haci-aga said to me that I should give it to you." Selma said to me and gave me the letter. It seemed pretty suspiciously to me, but I decided I will have to read what is written there.
Do you remember what we talked about yesterday, Huma? We could do it now. I need to escape from reality. I need to find a place where I can relax my mind, and if you will help me, I would be happiest person here. I will wait for you on the entrance of Palace.
I couldn’t hide a smile from my face while I was reading a letter from Şehzade Osman. I recognised it was him when I saw mention of yesterday and our plan to leave the Palace and see the town secretly.
" Huma Hatun, who is the letter from when you have so big smile on your face?" Selma asked me as she tried to be nice to me, but I knew I shouldn't tell it to her.
" My father sent me a letter to say everything is fine with them and that they are on their way on campagin, nothing to worry about." I said to her as I decided to hide letter somewhere.
I took a box where jewerly was usually inside, and putted the letter inside. After that, I putted it in closet which was standing next to sofa in chambers.
I didn't take care that Selma is in my presence now, I decided to get ready to dress to go out, but I knew I won't tell it to her.
" Where are you preparing to go?" Selma asked me curiously. I didn't like how she was asking me too many questions. I didn't believe people in Palace as Humasah Sultana already warned me.
" I want to go to the Gardens." I lied to her while I was dressing my dress for going outside.
" I will go with you then." Selma said and started preparing, but I stopped her.
" There is no need for that, Selma. I want to have some private time, please." I said to her, but she seemed like she doesn't mind for that.
" I am listening to Humasah Sultana's orders." Selma said to me. But I knew how will I get rid of her.
" I am going into walk with Humasah Sultana and we have private things to talk about so please don't go with me, because Sultana won't be happy about that." I said to her and left my chambers, and made sure once again she is not following me or looking where I am going.
I made sure no one is going to leave me before I am leaving Harem because that would lead me to serious problems. I wasn't allowed to leave the Palace, and especially not helping a Şehzade to sneak out from the Palace.
I walked to the entrance of Palace where I saw Osman standing. He wasn't dressed as he usually was because he didn't want anyone to recognise him.
" I was worried you wouldn't come." Osman said and gave me bright smile when he saw me walking towards him.
" I never break my promises." I said to him and gave him soft smile. I felt so nice in his presence.
We took a carriage of one of Osman's loyal servants who took us to the centre of Istanbul. We were alone there, I felt emotion which I felt when I was still a young girl and could go free around Istanbul.
" What I would give if I was born just as ordinary Osman, not as Şehzade. I would rather be a son of a merchant than to be son of Sultan. Now I see how people live here free." Osman said as he looked all around the Istanbul and he saw how ordinary people live.

" Those people are poor. I understand them because I was also while I was young. Before my father became Chief of Janissaries and married to Humasah Sultana. You wouldn't want to be at their place because you would need to work so hard to get for a piece of bread." I said to him as I was sure he wouldn't like to be like this if he knew what kind of life ordinary people live.
" That would be better than being in Palace and everyone is looking what I am doing. I don't have any freedom. I am always afraid if someone will kill us, because they would want someone other on the Throne." Osman said and this was the first time I saw this side of him.
" Şehzade, you shouldn't worry. No one would kill you when you are heir to the throne. Everyone in palace is doing whatever they could for your safety." I said to him trying to comfort him. I didn't want to see him sad.
" Don't call me Şehzade, call me Osman, please." he said and turned to me and gave me big smile.

" Fine, Osman." I said to him as it was weird for me to call him by his name, not his title.
" Do you have any special place in Istanbul where you would like to show me? Somewhere where I could relax from all the stress that Palace is giving me." Osman said to me with a smile and a wonder.
" I have one, follow me." I said to him and we started walking through Istanbul Market.
We were walking and there were a lot of people, and at one moment, Osman just grabbed my hand strongly and then our hands were holding together.
I looked at him confused why would he do something like this especially outside where anyone could see us.
" It is busy here, I don't want to lose you somewhere here." Osman said and laughed to me. I knew it wasnt the real reason, he just wanted us to be more closer.
" I know thid place better than you, maybe I should take care if you get lost here." I said and both of us started laughing at my words.
We were walking for fifteen minutes until we came to the rocks from which we had a view of the entire Bosphorus as well as the Palace.
" This is so beautiful." Osman said as he was breath-taked by beautiful view from here.
" You can see whole Istanbul from here, it is almost the same as view from chambers in Topkapi Palace." I said to him and giggled.
"This is most beautiful place I have ever been to." Osman said and looked around himself admiring the beauty of freedom.
" Look someone is there." I said to Osman as we seen a lot of people walking towards here.
" Huma, we must run. Those are janissaries. Maybe my mother found out for this and she sent them to find us." Osman said and he took my hand again and we started to run together towards the first street.
" Come with me here." I said to him as a saw aisle between the streets.
We hid in the first aisle between the streets, where we were safe. We soon saw all these janissaries continuing straight down the street and not noticing where we were hiding.
" Huma, you saved my life. I am thankful to you. If they would see me, I would get punished." Osman said and smiled. I blushed at his words.
He looked around to make sure if anyone is watching. At that moment he putted his hand on my cheeks.
" What I wish that you could be my wife. With none of women I have seen I can't be so free like I can be when I am next to you. I have never felt something so special." Osman said to me and I could hear from his words that he is talking from deep of his heart.

I just came closer to him and kissed him quickly before he could do anything about it. He continued kissing me there, until we heard janissaries walked towards us.
