(Y/N) Your Name. (L/N) Last Name.
Your name... (Y/N) (L/N). Age. Eighteen. Birth year, 2003. You're a young girl who lives in Mesa, Arizona with your aunt Charlene. She's been raising you for fifteen years of your life after your parents Lisa and Marcus tragically died from a car accident when you were only three years old. So you don't remember much about them. Your aunt's been good to you though. Charlene is your dad's sister and she's the older sibling.
Things are good for you... with your aunt that is. Recently, you found your boyfriend of two years Greg Thompson cheating on you with your best friend Tomoko Takahashi. She regretted it and tried to apologize to you, but you told her you needed time to yourself for a little bit. She understood.
Greg however does not regret his actions and told you himself that your friend is hotter and better at kissing than you. But he said something much worse that crossed the line and would make anyone's blood boil.
He told you your parents died because they couldn't stand to have an emo freak for a daughter and they conceived such an ugly dog for a child. He said himself that he only dated you because he lost a bet and he was trying to get to your friend.
Tomoko knew all along what a jerk he was and immediately dumped him. Told him he was the freak and a monster and that talking about your deceased parents that way is highly disrespectful, especially for Tomoko and her family.
Even Greg's friends walked away from him and some of them are assholes, too. One of his friends Wyatt was highly offended by the dead parent comment, especially when he himself comes from a religious family. So in a way, Tomoko was doing you a favor. She only went along with the cheating because she was trying to save you from being used. You slowly started to forgive her and you hugged it out.
Right now, you're up in your room. You're laying back on your bed. You've got your laptop playing Don't Ever Leave by Smile Empty Soul. You sigh and you say, "Will I ever find love? Probably not. What is love? Not counting family. Oh well. At least my aunt's been there for me after my parents perished."
As you vibe a bit to the song you hear your aunt yelling, "(Y/N)!" You sit up and you pause the music. You hear her yelling, "Come downstairs, hon! I'll take you to Red Robin!" You yell, "Okay!" You get up, grab your phone and you head out of your room.
You get downstairs and there's your aunt Charlene. She says, "There you are, hon. Come on." You say, "Okay." She puts her hand on your shoulder and she says, "Hey. Don't worry about your ex boyfriend. He meant nothing. He didn't deserve you. And what he said to you about your parents? He's not allowed over here, anymore. Tomoko's parents don't welcome him in their home, either."
You say, "At least Tomoko did me a favor. I was mad at her at first, but she made me realize how awful he is. Still... I have little to no luck finding the one." She says, "To be fair sweetie, there is no such thing as the one. There are plenty of fish in the sea."
You say, "Yeah. I know." She says, "Come on. Let's get to Red Robin. You need to eat more than those damn bag of Doritos you've been eating all day." You say, "Yeah. Okay." You and your aunt Charlene head out.
(Time skip.)
Later on after eating at Red Robin with your aunt, you're back home and up in your room. You've got your laptop playing The Taste of Ink by The Used. It's not too loud though. You're on your phone and you're talking to Tomoko.
You say, "Hey, Tomoko. Listen. I'm sorry for the small grudge against you." You get this, "Hey. It's okay, (Y/N). I understand. But I could see right through him. He is not a good guy. He did make a bet with his friends." "Yeah. But even THEY hate him now for what he said about my parents." "That's very disrespectful. Completely frowned upon in my family. Disrespecting the deceased."
You lay back and you say, "There's gotta be something more interesting outside of school and other shit." "Actually... there is. Ever heard of Playtime Co?" "No. Not really. What is that? A toy factory or something?" "Yeah. It's a toy factory that was abandoned in the early 2000s. Around the time we were born. It was active from the 60s to the late 90s." "What's so interesting about an abandoned toy factory? Well, besides the fact that it may be haunted."
You hear her say, "I hear there's this giant statue of a blue fuzzy character by the name Huggy Wuggy. From the Poppy Playtime franchise. Poppy Playtime is a doll like a real girl. Huggy Wuggy became the most popular character there. My mom told me Poppy was big in Japan too and everyone there loved Huggy Wuggy including herself when she was a kid. Of course there, Huggy spoke in Japanese and so did Poppy."
You sit up and you say, "I might check this out. I need a good place to reflect on stuff." "That's fine, but just be careful. I hear that the Huggy Wuggy statue is actually a living breathing murderous experiment that roams the place." "If so, I'd rather the thing kill me than me having to put up with Greg ever again."
You hear Tomoko saying, "(Y/N). Don't think about that. Please? I get things aren't that great for you because of Greg. But please don't think about suicide again?" "It's kind of hard not to, Tomoko." "Just think of the positive things in life. Your aunt, friends. And so on. You're my best friend (Y/N). Listen. If you really need to go there to reflect on things, do so. Talk to that Huggy Wuggy statue." You hear this and you think about it.
(Time skip.)
It's Friday evening. You're walking down the sidewalk to the location of the abandoned Playtime Co. It was a rough day at school. Greg saw you and threw pencils at you. Called you an emo freak. Told you to go slit your wrist or to go suck Dracula's dick. And so on.
His friend Randal Mattingly said, "Dude. Leave her the fuck alone. We're done with that shit." Didn't stop Greg. Unfortunately for him though, he was suspended. So that's some relief for you. Tomoko was sure happy about it, too.
You walk until you reach a gate. You look through and you see it. Playtime Co. It's an enormous color coated building. You say, "Damn. That place is huge. And it's still up. Hmm..." You step through a broken part of the gate. It's bent enough for you to fit through.
You face the building and you say, "So that's Playtime Co, huh?" You walk towards the building and you get to the doors. You grab a handle and you pull it open. You say, "Oh hey. It's unlocked. Well... here we go." You head inside the abandoned toy factory.
(To be continued...)
