Doctor Huggy x Anxious Reader pt. 2
About a year passes. The doctor you saw to check what your situation was... You fell in love with him. You were wishing to see him again or have another appointment. You may be twenty-one now, but you don't drink. You can't. Your heart disease. You can't risk it.
But you're thinking back to Dr. Wuggy. He was really nice, handsome, and so on. He's the one who had diagnosed you with a mild heart disease. You've been careful about the foods you'd eat and the beverages you'd consume.
You did have wine, but only one glass each day you did. It didn't effect your heart though. You actually did contact Dr. Wuggy once and you admitted you had a glass of wine a day. He said, "One glass of wine a day is all. I suggest no more than that. Nothing stronger than that. You can't put your heart at too much risk."
You listened. And you don't drink a glass of wine every single day. You were always careful with your condition. This was a thing you've developed in high school and you realized it was hereditary.
Your mom does call you every single day to make sure you're okay. So far, you have been. Besides, one glass of wine was acceptable because it does have fruit in it and fruit was good for your health... Just spiked. But today's about to change for you once you go to the mall with your high school friend and also former cheerleader, Chloe Mason.
You're in your living room watching a video from MeatCanyon from your laptop. You found it funny since you found the weirdest stuff funny and you're also a subscriber to him. You have other subscriptions like Sr. Pelo, Markiplier, Jacksepticeye, Yo Mama, Dashie, Spaz Boys Comedy, Vivziepop since you love Helluva Boss, Adult Swim, Smosh, Babymetal, Alpha Beta Gamer, etc.
You suddenly get a phone call and you pick up your phone. You swipe the screen to answer it and you put the phone up saying, "Hey, Chloe. What's up, girl?" You hear her saying this, "Hey girl. Wanna go to the mall with me?" "Well yeah. Mall's may not be as popular as they were then, but I miss the nostalgia." "Right? I'm coming to get you in a few minutes. I'm getting you that new top you've been wanting." "Sounds great. Thanks, girl." "Sure thing, girlie. Love ya's. Mwah." "Mwah back to you."
After talking with Chloe, you hang up and you say, "I'm just happy she forgives me after I told her about my mild heart disease. The look on her face though. I felt bad... She was crying." You sit back and you watch some videos until your friend gets here.
(Time skip.)
You're at the mall now. You're with your friend Chloe Mason. You're doing some shopping at Forever 21. You loved that store. You found the top that you love and Chloe says, "Ooh, girl. Here it is. The top of your dreams."
You see the top and you gasp and smile. You say, "Holy crap, girl. That's it." Chloe grabs it and says, "Come on, girl. Let's get this for you. I got paid at my modeling job and I thought about you. I knew you wanted this top." You say, "That's so thoughtful, Chloe. Let ME get you one." She says, "Psh. Girl, please. I got this."
She sees one she likes and she gasps. She says, "Ooh. I love that one. That's one I'm wanting with those retro early 90s pants I have, but those are cute too. This white shirt is perfect for that. Perfect for modeling. Girl, I wish you would get in the modeling business."
You say, "I'd love to Chloe, but you know... I can't risk fainting. My heart disease." She gasps and she pulls you in for a hug. You hug her back and you say, "I'll be fine. Really. It just... happens. It is hereditary in my family." She says, "I wish to hell it wasn't. Not you, girl."
You and Chloe get your tops and other stuff and she pays for them. You walk out with your bags and you say, "I'm kind of hungry. I could go for Japanese food. How about you?" She says, "Yeah. Sushi is something I would go out for like, every week. Even being the richest girl. Yet, you were the most popular. I still feel bad that we cut you out. I wish then that I knew you had a mild heart problem."
You say, "Hey. It's alright. Like I said. It happens." You suddenly come across a local band playing in the center of the mall and a lot of young people like yourselves are interested in it. You and Chloe seem to like it too and you grin. Chloe says, "OMG, girl. Those vibrations. That sound. I feel like dancing now." You say, "Yeah. Me too." Little do you know, you were going to regret this moment.
You and Chloe dance and you really get into it. But then... Something horrible happens. You start to feel faint and you stop. Chloe looks at you and says, "Girl? What's up?" You put your hand up to where your heart is and you gasp. She says, "Oh no. Girl?!" You suddenly fall to the floor and the others see you and gasp.
Chloe rushes to you and ducks down yelling, "Girl!! No!!" She holds you close and she says, "Oh my god! No! (Y/N)!" An older woman puts her hands up to her mouth and says, "Oh dear god. Poor child!" Chloe gets her phone out and she dials 911.
She puts the phone up to her ear and says, "Hello?! 911?! Help me! Please?! M-my friend fainted! She has a heart disease!" "Who's the victim, ma'am?" "Her name's (Y/N) (L/N). We're at the Blueberry Hill Mall. Come quick!" "We're on our way, ma'am." "Thank you!"
She hangs up and she holds you close, sobbing. A little girl says, "Mommy. Is that lady okay?" The mom says, "We can only hope so, Bev honey." The paramedics make it there in six minutes and they take you.
Chloe walks out, forgetting the bags and she drives to the hospital to follow where the ambulance are taking you. Obviously, the hospital. The same little girl spots the bags Chloe left behind and thinks of something.
(Time skip.)
You begin to open your eyes and you see a bright light above you. You say, "W-what happened? I... Wait." You look around and you realize it. You say, "Oh right. I had a mild heart attack at the mall for getting too excited by jumping up and down and dancing from that band. Dammit. How could I be stupid?"
You hear this, "(Y/N)." You recognized that voice. You look over and you see him. Dr. Wuggy. You gasp and you blush. He walks in and approaches you. He has the sad look on his face and he says, "I've gotten notice about what happened. I need you to be careful, next time. You can't risk all of that. Even I thought we were going to lose you."
You say, "Wait... Are you getting to something, Dr. Wuggy?" He grabs your hand and he says, "When I'm off the clock, I'll tell you. But I'll say this... You're a very special woman. Ever since I've had you as my patient... there was something about you that I liked."
You say, "Yeah?" He sits down and he grabs your hand. He says, "I care so much about you. I care about all of my patients. Don't get me wrong. But something about you drew me near." You blush and you say, "Really?"
He nods. You sigh and you smile saying, "I've liked you from the beginning. Since I saw you. Call it wrong for having a major crush on my doctor, but you're the most attractive man I've ever seen, Huggy." He grins and says, "Hey. That's great to hear. You're lucky I'm a single guy with no children."
You say, "I don't have kids, either. I'm honestly afraid to give birth at some point. I feel like it might kill me with my heart disease." He says, "Two or three is the limit, (Y/N). Women with Type one diabetes shouldn't be having more than two kids, themselves. I've had patients like that."
You sigh and you say, "A few years back, I lost my dad to a stroke. My mom calls me every single day to make sure I'm alright. I'm all she has. Dad died. Her parents died. So... Yeah." He says, "Speaking of which. She's here." You say, "Yeah?" He gets up and he says, "I'll be back." He walks out of there. You lay there and you wait.
Your mom walks in and she sees you awake. She sighs and runs to you saying, "Oh, thank god!" She leans down to hug you. You hug her back. She sobs and says, "Oh, my baby." You say, "Mama. It's okay. I just... I got carried away with dancing to a local band at the mall and I just... fainted. My heart started rapidly beating and kind of hurting like it had before." She says, "Oh, my little girl." She kisses you on the cheek.
You hear the door opening and you see Chloe. She sighs and runs to you saying, "Oh my god. Girl, you're okay." She strokes your hair and she sighs out of sadness. She says, "Mrs. (L/N). I regret being one of the girls booting her out of cheering when she fell off the pyramid. I really do. I wish I knew about her heart issue, soon." Your mom says, "It's alright, Chloe. You didn't know, dear. Besides, (Y/N) forgives you."
You grab Chloe's hand and you say, "It's alright, Chloe. I knew you then. When we were kids, you would put a band-aid on every kid that had a scratch from a fall." She giggles and says, "Yeah. I remember that. But you're the one who matters to me the most of friends, girl. You've had it the worst of all of them. Scratches, scabs and even poison ivy or a fever are nothing compared to a heart problem. Booting you out with all of the others was the worst thing I've done when I found out about your disease."
You look at your mom. She says, "Sweetie. When you get to your apartment, I'll stop by and I'll get that Japanese food you were trying to get at the mall, earlier. I've gotten notice from Chloe here, herself that you were going to before being distracted by that local rock band." You sigh and you say, "I'm fine. Don't worry. It just... happens."
Your mom says, "Your dad would love to see how strong of a woman you are, now. Rest that man's soul. I loved him so much." You say, "Mama. I miss him, too. Trust me. He was the best dad I could ever have."
You look over at Dr. Wuggy. Your mom and your friend pull away. He approaches you and he says, "You'll be out of here in two days. I would suggest that you stay with your mother for a few days. Maybe a week. Just to be safe."
Your mom says, "It's a good thing I call her, every day. Just to make sure she's alright. You know, with her heart condition. And I'll do anything for my daughter, especially after her dad died." Dr. Wuggy says, "You're a good mom. And rest your husband's soul. He was a good man."
Huggy looks at you and says, "You're one strong woman to make it through that mini heart attack you've had at the mall. An attack to the heart, no matter how mild or severe... is still a heart attack." Chloe says, "I'm just glad she's alright."
Dr. Wuggy strokes your hair and says, "Get some rest and watch some TV. I'll bring the nurse in with your food. You need to eat something." You smile and you blush. You say, "Thank you, Dr. Wuggy."
Chloe notices your reaction to Dr. Wuggy and she holds back a giggle. You lay back and your mom picks up the remote. She changes a few channels and she gets to one saying, "Oh hey. Big Bang Theory. One of your favorite shows."
You smile and you lay there as you watch it. Chloe says, "I found out recently that Leonard is also Rusty from Christmas Vacation." You say, "Yeah. I know. Johnny Galecki. Aunt Bethany, the old lady in that movie was Betty Boop for real."
Chloe says, "Wow. Betty Boop? That iconic 1930s cartoon model every guy loved?" You say, "Yeah. But I also heard that she was sixteen, so if you think about it, that's pretty gross." (This is true actually. It took me years to find that out XD.) Chloe says, "Yeah. Totally."
Your mom says, "(Y/N) sweetie. Get plenty of rest and nutrients, okay? I'll come and see you in the morning." You smile and you say, "Thanks, mom." She leans down and kisses you on the forehead. Chloe grabs your hand and says, "Be seeing you out, girl. I'm so glad you're okay." You smile and you say, "Thanks, Chloe."
*******************************************
What happens is, you stay with your mom for at least a week. Not just a few days. No matter what, she'll always check on you, but you didn't mind. You knew she does it because you're her daughter and you have a mild heart disease. Any good mother will worry about her own child, no matter what.
When you get back to your apartment, you get a surprise visitor. Turns out it's Dr. Huggy Wuggy. He had a bouquet of roses for you. (Your rose color of choice.) Turns out, he seemed to have figured out your favorite flowers. You loved them.
You and Huggy end up a couple and you couldn't be happier. He was there for you and to remind you not to get too carried away with too many greasy foods. A little was okay. One glass of wine a day was okay. But excessive drinking and too many greasy foods could lead to another heart attack like that one time at the mall because of your condition.
You and Huggy end up married and having a couple of kids. Two of them. You couldn't risk a third or fourth, but you were happy to even have kids of your own. You ended up with two sons. Gerard and Harrison.
They're twins and look exactly like Huggy, but their fur is the same color as your hair. You all live happily in a big house that Huggy's lived in for a while and since he's a doctor and makes a lot of money, he's rich.
You didn't care about that though. You loved him and your sons. Your sons like your dad know about your condition and they support you and help you out any way they can. They're great kids.
Also, that one day you were at the hospital after your heart attack, the same little girl from the mall came to the hospital with her mom and had your bags of clothes you got. You smiled at the kid and you thanked her. You gave her your dessert that day you ate your food at the hospital.
