(Siera's POV-The Hallelujah Mountains, Site 26)

I watch Jake as he gets his video log ready, even though he's not happy. It's already 21:32 and I'm tired. I've been in my Avatar all day, learning from Mo'at's healing abilities, which herbs are the best, etc. She's impressed though that I can catch on to the language pretty fast, so I don't need any help there.

"Okay. This is video log 12," Jake starts as I sip away at some coffee, Alex at my side. He starts chatting to me a bit in Na'vi to ensure I still got the language down and I'm not stumbling over words. I do the same to ensure that the language is still strong. "Location, shack."

"Do I have to do this now?" Jake asks Grace, who's eyeing a plant in a microscope. "I mean, I really need to get some rack."

"No, now," Grace chides him. "While it's fresh." Jake then starts speaking into the microphone, looking into the camera the entire time. He says that the days are starting to blur together, which he's not wrong. The more we're in our Avatar bodies, the more the days are starting to blur even more. He even goes on to say something about how whenever he's getting ready to use the bow for hunting, Neytiri will stop him and say that the forest isn't ready for him to kill yet. He also goes on to say that the language is a pain, but he figures it's like, field-stripping a weapon, you know, repetition, repetition. I remember when Neytiri was teaching him this one word, and he couldn't get his r's to roll right so he kept messing up and Neytiri had smacked him across his forehead. He talks about how since Alex and I have started talking more, our relationship has become more than friends over the next couple months, not that he's complaining, he's just glad that Alex has found someone, even if that someone is and I quote, "one of the most badass women he could call sister." When he had said that to me, I was more than shocked, but I took it quite well as a compliment.

"Neytiri calls me skxawng. It means moron," Jake continues as he remembers when Neytiri was teaching him how to shoot a bow for the first time, she kept messing around with his arms, how to properly hold the bow, and to keep his elbows up. For me and Alex, it was a little bit of a pain, but we were able to get it down, we have never been prouder.

Meanwhile, back in the lab, I can see Norm and Jake as Jake is learning about the gesture and true meaning of the words I See You from Norm. Even I can tell from here that Norm's attitude has definitely improved lately. Jake had commented that Norm thinks that Jake is a skxawng too cause he can't get the meaning of the words right and it's frustrating him. But in his Avatar body, that's different.

Jake goes on to say that his feet on his Avatar are getting tougher, and getting stronger every day. He is definitely proving to be a fast learner from Neytiri teaching him, and that's kind of impressive to the both of us really. Obviously he knows about the relationship between Alex and I, but we had no idea that Norm and Trudy are in one now as well. Not surprising to me. I kinda figured they would get together eventually. Alex and I are also getting stronger from the training, despite my training being a bit different since Mo'at. Speaking of her, Jake had talked to her about letting Grace and Norm back in the village. I have never seen Grace look so happy. It's the first time she's had a connection to the Omatikaya clan again since her school closed down.

Neytiri starts teaching us, mostly Jake and Alex about the different scents and sounds, the tracks at the waterhole, tracking more and more animals. As we're crawling through some foliage, we hear something and I look up to see a mother viperwolf watching over her pups, as Jake is saying something about he hopes that the tree-hugger crap isn't on the final.

"This isn't just about eye-hand coordination out there, you know," I hear Grace say to Jake during his 42nd video log on the 29th of June at around 22:13 hours. "You need to listen to what she says. Try to see the forest from her eyes." Jake looks back at her, irritation written on his face.

"Excuse me," he says to her. "This is my video log here."

Back at the Omatikaya clan, Alex and I follow Jake and Neytiri as we run across the tree branches, only for Neytiri to throw her bow across her back, and with no hesitation whatsoever, she jumps off the edge, landing on these large green leaves to slow her fall as she does, avoiding the vines and branches altogether before landing successfully on her feet. She then looks up at us.

"With Neytiri, it's learn fast or die," Jake recalls. In his Avatar body, he says, "oh, you've got to be kidding me." Then, he fixes his bow on his back, then leaps off the tree, screaming as he lands in the vines first, before landing on the large green leaves. Neytiri watches as his bow hits the floor first, then Jake afterwards falls on a mushroom, then lands on his back on the forest floor, vines all over his body. Panting and getting up, he looks at where he just jumped, then looks back at Neytiri before following her, picking up his bow as he does.

I can still see the look on Grace's face when she entered the village; she looked so happy. I know it. The children have always been so fond of her and her teachings when her school was open.

Back in the base however, Grace has been acting like a mother hen towards mostly Alex and Jake, making sure they're eating so that she doesn't have to be the one to drag their butts out. Figures why she's so hard on them. I watch as Grace pulls Jake back by his wheelchair as he tries to wheel away in getting out of eating.

"No, you don't," she says, a cigarette in her mouth. "Get back here." She pulls him back to the table, then lifts the plate with the MRE on it. "Bon appétit."

Back in our Avatars, we watch as Jake touches one of the fan lizards as it starts flying away. Neytiri laughs and touches a few herself, smiling. She watches as they start flying, and she puts her hand underneath them to keep them from landing, then she and Jake swim in the water.

Before long, we're at a ceremony, but it is a mournful one. Neytiri lowers her hand which has a woodsprite on it, then lets it fly down towards the dead elderly Na'vi inside. We stand in the side, watching the ceremony. Once the ceremony ends, it's back to the hunting.

However, back in our human bodies, Jake seems to have fallen asleep during a video log, so Grace cuts off his camera, then says softly,

"Come on, Marine." Then she guides him to bed, getting him out of his wheelchair and inside the bed. She then turns to see that Alex and I are passed out in bed. She smiles, then walks out.

Back in our Avatar bodies the following morning, we're tracking down what's known as a hexapede. Jake is as stealthy as ever, now at the ready, arrow nocked. Alex and I are behind him, but we're going down a different route to ensure we get our kills. We then hear the hissing of a hexapede and my pinna prick, before I pull back the string of my bow, Alex watching me. I then notice how closer Jake and Neytiri are. I actually noticed it the second time Jake had pulled his bow at the ready the last time and Neytiri was helping him adjust and I had seen clearly how close she was to him then. I let out a breath as my arrow flies, hitting the hexapede dead center. Jake seems to have done the same cause Neytiri's tail is flicking and she's smiling softly. We then go to our respective kills and say the rites in Na'vi, not stumbling over the words one bit.

"I See You, Sister, and thank you," I say at the same time Jake and Alex do, my knife in hand before I kill it quickly with my knife, making the death of this creature quick. "Your spirit goes with Eywa, and your body stays behind to become part of the People." I put my blade away, and take out my arrow as I hear Neytiri say to Jake, myself and Alex respectively,

"A clean kill. You are ready."
