Chapter 12: The Omatikaya Clan

A/N: Alright, we're in the Omatikaya clan, and meeting Neytiri's parents, Eytukan, the clan leader, and Mo'at, the Tsahìk. Remember, I OWN nothing!! Except for my OC.

(Siera's POV-Omatikaya Hometree)

Direhorses lead the way back to what is the Omatikaya's home, Hometree. All while we're still being held captive by the hunting party. As we enter, the villagers move out of the way to let their princess and the hunters through. There are murmurs in Na'vi as we walk up to where a man is talking to Tsu'tey at the base of the spiraling tree. The man must be very important to the clan, he's dressed more intricately than the others.

"Father," Neytiri says. "I See you." Neytiri's father looks at us as he walks up to us, then turns back to his daughter, his eyes scrutinizing us. Figures. Alex and I don't say anything as we watch the clan leader.

"These creatures," he says to her, "why did you bring them here?" Neytiri then answers her father,

"I was going to kill them, but there has been a sign from Eywa."

"I have said....no dreamwalkers will come here," Eytukan says to his daughter. Jake looks at Neytiri.

"What's he saying?" He asks her. Neytiri ignores him again as Eytukan speaks again.

"Their alien smells fill my nose." The hunters chuckle as Jake asks again,

"What's he saying?" Neytiri looks at him and answers him finally,

"My father is intending on whether to kill you." Jake clicks his tongue as Alex and I step back slightly only for one of the hunters to grab my braid. Alex gets defensive and hisses at the hunter, who is female. She lets go of my braid fast, and glares at Alex. Alex then stops as we then hear Jake say,

"Your father. It's nice to meet you sir." He goes to shake the clan leader's hand only for the hunters plus Tsu'tey and Neytiri to step in front of him stopping him. Then a new voice cuts in, cutting all of us off.

"Step back! I will look at these aliens." We look as a woman in a red and yellow shawl walks down from the base of the tree, walking up.

"That is Mother," Neytiri says to us. "She is Tsahik. The one who interprets the will of Eywa." I know what she's talking about and so does Alex, but Jake on the other hand does not.

"Who's Eywa?" He asks. I want to slap him for being as stupid as he is, but instead I watch Mo'at as she walks around us, grabbing Jake's braid and tail first, then Alex's, then switches to mine. When she does, she gasps softly, stepping back. Eytukan looks at his mate, but she doesn't say anything as she then asks, changing the subject,

"What are you called?" Jake answers first,

"Jake Sully." Alex answers after,

"Alex Maverick." I gulp, before letting my eyes look at Neytiri then at Mo'at,

"Siera Starling." Mo'at's eyes widen as she looks at me, taking my hand.

"We have been waiting for you." She says to me. I blink rapidly.

"Me?" I ask. She nods. She then takes out a small blade and pricks both Alex and Jake before tasting their blood. She seems to scrunch up her face slightly before she looks at them.

"Why did you come to us?" She asks. Jake answers,

"We came to learn." Mo'at puts her blade away as she explains to him,

"We have tried to teach other Sky People. It is hard to fill a cup which is already full." Jake seems to chuckle and says,

"Well, my cup is empty, trust me. Just ask Dr. Augustine, I'm no scientist." Mo'at narrows her eyes again.

"What are you?" She asks. Jake blinks.

"I was a Marine," he pauses before changing his words. "Um...a warrior of the Jarhead clan."

" A warrior!" Tsu'tey says in Na'vi, lifting his bow. "I could kill him easily!" He steps forward only for Eytukan to push him back.

"No!" He says, then removes his hand. "This is the first warrior dreamwalker we have seen. We need to learn more about him." Tsu'tey looks at his clan leader, not liking this. Mo'at then turns to Neytiri.

"My Daughter," she says, walking forward to her. "You will teach them our way, to speak and walk as we do." I can tell Neytiri isn't pleased with this, and she tries to protest in Na'vi to her mother,

"Why me? That's not fair..." she is cut off by her mother and she growls in annoyance. Mo'at then walks up to us.

"It is decided. My daughter will teach you our ways. Learn well, Jakesully. You as well, Alexmaverick. Sierastarling, you will be trained by me. Something tells me that Eywa has chosen a different path for you." I blink and so does Alex.

"How so?" I ask. Mo'at hums.

"You have been chosen by Eywa, have you not? Have you been having any....dreams? Visions, maybe?" I gasp. Maybe this is my path, to become a healer, and maybe future Tsahik of the tribe. I nod my head.

"It is an honor to work under your tutelage and guidance, Mother," I say, surprising her by saying this in very fluent Na'vi, not missing a beat. Mo'at looks shocked, her tail flicking behind her.

"You speak as one of us?" She asks. I nod.

"Alex does too." I say to her. She turns to Alex. Alex then replies in Na'vi,

"She is right. We both have studied the language for a long time thanks to Augustine, my father and her mother. I still struggle with some phrases, and I know she does too. We are willing to learn." Mo'at nods.

"Very well. My daughter can teach you as well, Alexmaverick. Learn well. Then we can see if your insanity can be cured." Jake and Alex seem to nod, and so do I.

After a bit, Neytiri basically gives us a tour of the entire Hometree, before walking Jake and Alex back. Jake, who is now dressed like the natives, is literally picking at the loincloth, as I sigh softly where I'm hiding away. I basically ended up telling Mo'at about my native history of my homeland, and let me say she was very intrigued about the fact that I'm willing to teach the Na'vi the language of the Navajo and its culture, its history and its dancing. At first, there's a lot of curiosity, until the drums start playing. Jake walks up as the drumming stops, so does the singing.

"G-Good evening," Jake says as he continues following Neytiri, Alex behind him. Alex is dressed handsomely in his own loincloth, but it really does wonders for him. "Please don't get up." Jake continues as they continue walking. I watch as Jake smacks someone with his tail while walking, then proceeds to step on the tail of an unsuspecting female Na'vi, making her shriek in alarm at him.

"Sorry," he says as the music cuts back on, and Neytiri tells him to squat down. He then turns to some of the other villagers and says in a fashion like way that only someone like him could pull off,

"Hey, how you doing?" I can already see Mo'at, Eytukan and Tsu'tey's faces right now. I know they're still scrutinizing Jake, shit, I can hear their comments about Jake and how close Neytiri is to him, despite her being only his teacher and she is promised to Tsu'tey. I can only hope this doesn't screw anything up. I then hear the drums start playing a tune I recognize from my tribe, and I come out, smiling as I start shaking my hips. Little do I know, I have all male Na'vi eyes on me, except for Tsu'tey and Jake. I let my eyes rest on Alex in the crowd, and I grin at him, seeing his face. He seems to be blushing, seeing my outfit and my dancing routine. I smile wider. I continue dancing until I can feel my legs give out and then before I can fall, Alex takes my hand, pulling me to my feet as my heart races.

"We need to talk," I say to him. He shakes his head.

"Later. For now, let's get some rest and get back in our human bodies."

Afterwards, we then make it to these large hammocks, we watch as Neytiri jumps in hers, and crawls into it. Jake does the same with effort, then Alex and I do the same, only for someone to stop us.

"Mates, you two are," a male Na'vi says in broken English. "Sleep in same hammock." Alex and I blush.

"Oh no, no, yah misunderstand," I say. "We're not-...." Alex cuts him off.

"Just deal with it, Siera. What harm will it do?" I turn to him.

"We're not...." I sigh, realizing there's no way I'm getting out of this one. I then crawl into the hammock, then I hear it dip as Alex crawls in next to me.

"Squished?" He asks. I shake my head.

"No," I say. "It's actually....comfortable." I smile softly, as Alex closes the hammock and we fall asleep, my heart continuing to race.

I wake up to a light shining in my face as a voice echoes in my ears. I can also hear another voice as well.

"Siera! Jake!" The voice sounds familiar, and so does the other.

"They're in alpha."

"Jake! Siera!"

"They're coming out now."

"Jake! Siera! Siera. Jake." I look up as the light comes out of my eyes and I see Grace and Max. Alex seems to have gotten up, but he is smiling. I blush. Should I tell him about the kiss? Probably not.

"Come on back, kids. Come on. That's it. That's it." Grace says as Jake coughs, smiling softly then having Grace pick up his body.

"Damn," she comments. "You guys were dug in like ticks." She, Norm and Max pick up his body before Grace looks at him, serious.

"Is the Avatar safe? Are any of your Avatars safe?" She asks.

"Yeah, Doc," Jake answers her. "And you're not gonna believe where we are."

During breakfast, we chat with the rest of the scientists as Grace is talking about what we had done,

"The last thing we see is this Marine's ass disappearing into the brush with this angry Thanator coming after him! And these two were stupid enough to go after him!" The entire table erupts in laughter as we listen.

"Hey, it's not something you can teach," Jake says.

"That is awesome!" Max exclaims.

"You know, for reasons I cannot fathom, the Omatikaya have chosen you three. God help us all."

A/N: Alright, that's it for this chapter!!! Next chapter we'll be with Quaritch and we might end up finding out more information about what happened to Stephanie. Also, I need some help in choosing a mentor for Siera. I was gonna have it be Tsu'tey, but this is NOT a Tsu'tey love story, so no. My OC is paired with Malrog_the_dragon 's OC, Alex, so yeah. Should it be Mo'at that trains my OC or Tsu'tey?? Let me know what you guys want.
