"Come, right this way." Huey grinned as he led them to a small tent. "This is where my brother works."
"Works?" Huey and Hue laughed.
"Hey! I know your Louie doesn't exactly do, anything, but my brother has spent his whole life learning interdimensional travel just for us."
"Hm, small, but feisty." Hue whispered.
"I can hear you." Huey sighed.
"R-right, sorry." Hue muttered, earning a small nudge from Huey. "Stop it." Huey chuckled as he followed Huey into the tent.
"Brother?" Huey called out.
"They're here!" Llewellyn exclaimed. "They're finally here!!" A third version of Louie grinned. He wore a white button up with with an open green vest.
Huey and Hue looked at him with wide eyes.
"Um, Huey?" Hue whispered.
"Yeah?"
"Is it bad that I think he looks cute?"
"No?" Huey muttered.
Llewelyn was smiling brightly.
"I knew my calculations were right! I just knew they would come today!"
"I knew you were right, brother." Huey smiled. "I'm proud of you." He ruffled his hair, making him giggle.
"Oh my goodness." Hue muttered. "I thought this us was cute...but, this Louie is much more adorable than ours."
"What do you expect? Our Louies are supposed to be depressed."
"So, how do you work this?" Llewellyn grabbed the mirror from Hue. "Is there a password? Magic word?"
"Um, no, just, say the name of someone near the other mirror and it should activate."
"Ooh! That's incredible!"
Huey and Hue looked at him weirdly.
Llewellyn looked at them and blushed lightly.
"I'm guessing your Louie isn't a nerdy geek." He giggled.
"No, he's never this cute." Hue said honestly. Llewellyn blushed even more and hid a smile behind the mirror.
Huey cleared his throat.
"So, what do we have to do?"
"Oh, r-right, sorry....follow me. I'll show where our prophecy was found."
Llewelyn led the three Hueys deep inside the forest and to a stone path leading up to a cave.
"So, as you can see right here at the beginning, it shows one Huey and a line with another Huey. Then, two Hueys on one side of the line. Right next to this one is a picture of a strange contraption that I've been trying years to recreate, and I think I've almost got it. Then this is where you join my brother and help me fix my machine with your intellect. After that, you'll head to another alternate dimension and pick up a fourth Huey. Another machine and then, another dimension with two different Hueys*. You have to pick one!"
Huey listened carefully to everything that Llewellyn said, being determined to get back to his brothers. Hue however was looking at Llewellyn, smiling softly.
Huey noticed how Hue was looking at his brother and smiled softly, giggling.
"And this...um...I'm not sure what this is."
There was an image of a Huey with a question mark with a heart as the dot.
"Then, a bolt. This part was really weird." Llewellyn claimed. "I've tried to ignore it, but, there was just something about this that, attracted me." He placed a hand on the wall.
Hue placed a hand on his shoulder and smiled.
"I think we should stop the flirting and get back to gathering the materials we need." Huey muttered.
"Flirting!?" Hue and Llewellyn yelped, blushing brightly. "W-we're not flirting!" They said awkwardly.
"Uh-huh, right. Let's go."
"Right, right. Um, well...we're missing quite a few materials, so we should probably go to the kingdom for them."
"Kingdom?" Hue asked.
"Mmhm." Huey smiled. "We've been exiled. It's okay though. We've managed great things on our own!"
"What's first on the list?" Huey questioned.
"A crystal."
"A crystal?" Huey asked.
"Yes, we need a large blue crystal. But we can't afford it. It's in the town market. No one can afford it, so, we have to steal it." Llewellyn told them.
"We're not much for stealing, so we're sending you and our brother, Dewford." Huey smiled.
"Oh, alright." Huey nodded. "So, which way is the market?" He wondered, wanting to get started right away. He didn't know how much longer he could be apart from his brothers.
"Huey?" Hue whispered.
"Hm?"
"You look really tired. We should rest today."
"No! We go now! As the original, what I say goes!"
The other three looked at him with worry.
"When was the last time you slept?" Huey asked him.
"I've only slept five hours in the last week. Whatever though. I need to get back to my brothers."
"That's unacceptable. We're not doing anything until you sleep." Llewellyn told him.
"But-"
"No buts! When we get back to the village, you're going to sleep."
"Okay...fine...."
"Wow." Hue smiled as he looked at Llewellyn with a dreamy look in his eyes.
Huey looked at them and rolled his eyes.
Llewellyn looked back at Hue and smiled softly, making him blush.
"Let's head back. It's getting dark." Huey stated. With that, the group walked back to the village slowly.
"You can sleep here." Huey smiled.
"Thanks." Huey muttered, walking into the small hut and lying down on a small mattress made of grass and flowers. He knew he needed sleep, but he missed his brothers so much,
His eyes started closing slowly, the last thought was that of being reunited with his Dewey and Louie.
