Sometimes you just got to stay silent cause no words can explain the shit that's going on in your mind and heart.

A girl was sitting in her window sill and was observing the pitter patter of the rain. She was observing the rain drops and was having flashbacks of how she used to love rain. How she used to go out and play and dance in the rain. It was 3 months since she had stepped out of the house.

Time changes and people change. Situations make people change. Some people do not like to change but it's the situation and hardships that change them. Everyone loves being a kid. But while slowly growing up, that kid hides somewhere within us. It doesn't disappear completely, it just hides in a secluded corner afraid to come out.

Faikha was a girl who loved her family to no ends. She had a twin brother Niyamath. Both of them were 17 years old. Her parents loved both of them equally and fulfilled all of their wishes. They would grant even a small wish and would never let them down.

One fine day everything was going normal until Faikha received a phone call which turned their life upside down. She got to know that her parents were no more. They were in the farm house when the cylinder burst and the whole farm house was burnt. Her father had died on the spot, whereas her mother had a little life left, she was taken to the hospital with 3rd degree burns. But she too died as soon as they took her to the hospital.

After listening to the most dreadful news Faikha had fainted and had woken up after 3 hours. Niyamath was worried and he was also heart broken and shattered when he got to know about his parents death. They weren't allowed to even see their parents for one last time as their bodies were brutally burnt.

After sometime Faikha had woken up from her unconsciousness. Both of them hugged each other and cried for their loss. Both of them had lost their parents. The ones who helped them grow. The ones who stayed with them for 16 years of their lives. They had lost them at a very young age. They were declared orphans at the age of 17 years.

No one can love us like our parents did. That quality of love can never match the love of others.

Indeed it is true. We learn to value things only after loosing it. We always take them for granted. They do a lot of sacrifices to raise us. They always put us above their own selfish needs and wants.

After their parents died Faikha was separated from her twin. Their maternal uncle (maamu) had taken Niyamath and their maternal aunt (khala) had taken Faikha. Though her uncle insisted in not separating the twins, her aunt did not listen. She promised to take good care of her.

But the question was did she really take care of her or just treat her like her personal maid?

Faikha always missed her twin. They used to share smallest of things and cared a lot for each other. It was really difficult to part ways. But she did not have an option. Her khala was a very cunning lady.

Her khala (aunt) thought that she could just marry off Faikha to some rich man and take some money from him. Basically she would sell her off to a rich man.

She would always taunt Faikha even though she would do her work on time.

In her khala's house, there lived her khala, her khalu, elder son Hamid (22), their daughter Shaziya (16) and younger son Sajid (10).

Her aunt took her home because the mansion was on Faikha's name. Her father had named the luxurious mansion on her name. Her khala always had eyes on the particular mansion. She had always envied her sister and her husband. They had a love marriage and had lived their lives happily, whereas her khala had a very rough marriage life as her husband was not that rich.

Faikha would receive the papers once she would turn 18 years old as it was with the lawyer. Niyamat had the companies on his name. Her khala didn't want the companies as the mansion had huge worth compared to the companies. The company was falling as the stocks and share were being withdrawn from the company and it was at great loss.

She thought she would somehow get the papers signed by Faikha and throw her out of her house or get her married to some old man. Her khalu was always against it. He cared for the little girl but his wife would always shut him off. Their son Hamid was always with his mom and he supported his mom's decision.

Shaziya was also jealous of the twins. She was just 1 year younger to the twins, but she wasn't treated anything close to the twins. Her mom would always compare her with the twins. Shaziya was jealous because the twins would always get what ever they wanted whereas Shaziya had to always beg her parents even for little things.

It's true money could make you do things which you shouldn't do. This is why we shouldn't run behind money. It's not always that money matters. If you run behind money, you will loose your loved ones. You can have all the money in the world and still be unhappy if you do not have your loved one by your side.

Meanwhile Niyamat always craved for his sisters love. He wasn't able to meet Faikha. He spoke to his mamu and decided to get Faikha back with him. His mamu had assured him that they would get Faikha once she would turn into a legal adult and it would be easier for her to decide on her own as per court orders. They couldn't do that now as she was not a legal adult and was under the guidance of her khala.

Her maamu (Shahan) had always tried taking to her khala (Naseeba) but she wouldn't entertain her brother and would always refuse him.

They didn't have any contact with their father's side of the family as their parents had a love marriage and were abandoned by her father's family.

Since Faikha had moved in and had started living with her khala's family she was treated like a maid. Only her khalu and her younger cousin Sajid treated her with love. That too when her khala wasn't around or else they would also be yelled at for even taking little care of the poor girl.

"FAIKHAAA!!!" her khala screamed at the top of her voice.

She was cleaning the top floor of the house. Her khala had a duplex house with ground and first floor. It was a small house. She kept the thing she was doing aside and ran downstairs. Her khala was fuming in anger.

"Maine tumhe bartan Saaf karne ke liye kaha tha. Abhi tak Kyun nahi kiya? Kahan Mar gayi thi Tum?" she yelled at Faikha.

(I had asked you to clean the utensils. Why haven't you cleaned it yet? Where the hell have you been?)

"Khala Mai upar ki safai kar rahi thi" she whispered. She felt a pang on her left cheek. Her khala had slapped her.
(khala I was cleaning upstairs)

"Zubaan na ladao mere saath. Kaam toh seeda nahi hota hai tumhare se" she held her wrist tightly.
(don't back answer me. You can't even do one work right)

Faikha could feel her wrist in great pain. She knew it would leave marks on her skin. She wanted to scream in pain but one glare from her khala and she swallowed her pain and tears inside. Her khala yanked her hand away and pushed her to the ground.

"Mai bahar Jaa rahi hoon shaziya ke saath. Ghar lock karna Aur khabardaar jo bahar jaane ki koshish bhi ki toh" she glared at Faikha.

(I'm going outside with shaziya. Lock the door and dare you go outside)

Faikha nodded her head and went to the kitchen to resume her work. Oh how she missed being treated like a peincess at her own house. Her mother wouldn't even let her enter the kitchen. Her parents loved pampering her with love and care. She was treated like a princess.

She went to her room which was basically the store room and went to the common bathroom and performed wudu (abulation) and she came out and spread the prayer mat. She performed 2 rakat of nawafil salah.

After finishing her Salah, she raised her hands and wept in front of her lord. She knew that only her lord would listen to her.

"Ya Allah I know this is your plan. Just help me through it. Ya Allah your plan is the best plan. I trust you Allah and I know you will take me out of it. Please make it easy for me. Just help me through it".
She wiped her tears and continued doing her work. She looked at her wrist and it was turning blue with the pressure that had been applied on her wrist.

Sajid came to her and saw her working. He felt bad for his baji. It had been almost 3 months since she had gone out of the house. Since she had seen the sunrise and the sunset.

He knew nobody was at home and he took the opportunity to take his baji outside.

"Baji" he called her. Faikha turned around after wiping her tears and gave him a beautiful fake smile. She didn't want her little cousin to see her tears.

"Baji aao na (come) let's go out. Koi nai hai ghar me (nobody is at home)" he told her sweetly. Almost pleadingly. She thought for a while and agreed to the cute puppy face her little cousin brother made.
