Papyrus knocks on his brother's door, concern written over his face. "Sans?" He calls out meekly, speaking with less bravo and volume than usual. "May I come in..?"

Sans hadn't come out of his room that morning. When Papyrus had returned for dinner after a long day of work and training, he was distraught to find that Sans still hadn't left the room.

There was no response to Papyrus' call.
The tall skeleton inhales, and opens the door, anxiety making his soul flutter.

Sans was curled up on his bed, sheets on the floor and forgotten. He was facing the wall, chest moving ever so slowly as he breathed.

Papyrus steps over, wringing his gloved hands. "Brother..." He whimpers, reaching out towards the seemingly lifeless skeleton.

"sorry, bro..." Sans mumbles, wincing. His eyesockets were lacking their usual pinpricks of light. "guess i'm lazier than we both thought."

"Sans, please don't say that..." Papyrus sits down on the edge of the mattress, placing his hand on Sans' jacketed arm. "You may be lazy, yes, but... this is clearly... not that. You didn't even come to eat at breakfast...." "wasn't hungry." Sans sighs. "...'m still not."

Papyrus turns, and pulls Sans into a hug, tears welling up in his eyesockets. "I can't bear to see you like this." He quickly checks Sans' stats.

Sans turns his head away, not a word spoken by him. "Sans..." Papyrus' voice shakes. "P-please don't tell me... y-you're falling...?"

Sans sighs. "no. i'm not. i just... i don't know. i don't want to talk about it."

After a moment of silence, Sans speaks again. "....maybe we could, like... cuddle on the couch and watch tv or something...?" "That sounds like a good idea." Papyrus stands up, holding his smaller brother. "We can have some leftover spaghetti, too." He walks out of the room and downstairs.
