Astrid's P.O.V.

I woke up to a knocking at my door. I drag myself out of bed and open it to have Miller tackle me in a hug. "Want me to beat him up for you?" He asks as he holds my shoulders. 

"I already gave him a beating," I tell him and go down stairs to grab an apple. Then, after I feed Stormfly and Wishperwind, I go back up stairs and change before grabbing my ax. I go to the back yard, followed by Stormfly. We walk into the forest and I twist my ax in my hand. My heart was heavy at the thoughts that were going through my head. Everything was simpler in Outcast City. People feared me and left me alone. They gave me my space. I could do as I pleased without anyone thinking they can can stop me. But here it's different. I feel like I can't try anything. A song starts in my head and I can't help but sing it, with a few changes to the lyrics, as I dance through the trees with Stormfly walking behind me.

I trail off as I reach the end of the song and walk to a boulder before siting on it, grabbing a rock to sharpen my ax. Stormfly runs off to explore and I pause from my sharpening to look at the effect the sun shining through the trees made. There were rays of light shimmering through the branches and specks of dust were dancing in them. I inhale deeply as a breeze blows in my face.

Hiccup's P.O.V.

Toothless and I walked through the woods as I mentally blew up at Snotlout. Why did he have to tell her parents she was in the trunck of his car?! I pause when a sweet sound reaches my ears. I follow it as I think abut the person the voice belonged to. It was a different song and pitch but I know Astrids singing voice anywhere. Soon, Stormfly runs from the undergrowth and collides with Toothless before they start sniffing and licking each other. I let out a light laugh before walking the way Stormfly came from, hiding behind a tree as I come to a clearing. Astrid was sitting on a boulder, singing beautifully. Well, until I heard the words but it was still nice.

She strikes a rock across the blade of her ax, sharpening it, as she sang the first verse:

She chucks the rock behind her and runs her thumb over the blade as she sings the next one:

No I don't like you: she throws her ax at a nearby tree before retrieving it and waving it threateningly as she sang again:

Honey I rose up from the dead: she gives herself a small cut on her wrist before putting some blood on her finger:

She runs her blood stained finger on the boulder: Yours is in red underlined
I check it once, then I check it twice:

She ends by flopping back down on the rock. "Get enough, Hiccup, or should I sing and dance some more?" she asks and I jump. Didn't even know she knew I was here.

Astrid's P.O.V.

I sit up as Hiccup walks out from behind the tree. He was stammering nervously so when he got close enough, I slapped my hand across his mouth, preventing him from making noise. His eyes move from my hand to my face and back again. After a minute, I take my hand away and move so he can join me on the boulder. He climbs up and our dogs tumble out of the bushes in a play wrestle. I roll my eyes as Hiccup chuckles.
