So it's after HTTYD 3 but like before the ending. This also takes place about three weeks after my last one shot.

Hiccup entered his house and shut the door after a long day of chief-ting. He took off his boot and set it on the floor then went to He kitchen and set his armor and leather on the table.

He saw his wife putting away dishes since she probably ate already. He had worked much longer than usual. The sun was down, the moon was shining proudly, and the stars were twinkling happily.

Hiccup kissed the top of Astrid's head and he saw her smile. "Hey, Babe." She said and put away a bowl. "I heated you up some stew." She grabbed a bowl and poured some hot stew into it and handed it to him and then handed him a wooden spoon.

He smiled at her in thanks, sat down at the table, and started eating. Astrid sat in the chair across from him and rested her chin on her hand and smiled. "How was your day?"

"Long." Hiccup replied. "Many problems to deal with."

"Well it's over now." She said.

"Yeah." He swallowed some stew. "This is really good."

"Thanks. Your mom gave me the recipe." Astrid said and refilled Hiccup's bowl.

"Speaking of my mom-" He was interrupted by a soft cry of a baby coming from the living room. Astrid sighed and stood up.

"Zephyr." She muttered and walked into the living room. Astrid picked up her daughter who was napping in her cradle by the fire to keep her warm but not too close to catch on fire.

Astrid held her against her chest and sat back down. Hiccup looked at his crying baby, concerned. "Is she still running a fever?" Astrid put the back of her hand against Zephyr's forehead and nodded.

"Yeah." Astrid withdrew her hand and rubbed their daughters back to calm her. She eventually stopped crying. "She won't eat."

Zephyr, their three week old baby, devolved a fever a couple days ago. The worried couple had taken her to Gothi's only to be told she would be fine. The old woman gave them some medicine to help.

"You can't give her medicine?" Hiccup asked, pushing aside his bowl because he was done.

"Not for another hour." Astrid continued to rub the baby's back. "So, What about your mom?"

"Oh! She got a terror mail from my dad's Family. They're coming to visit tomorrow." Hiccup told his wife as he stood and took Zephyr out of her arms and held his baby against his chest.

Zephyr snuggled into Hiccup's chest and curled her fingers into his shirt holding it in little fists. Astrid smiled as Hiccup placed a gentle kiss on the top of their daughter's head.

"I'm jealous." Astrid joked. Hiccup looked at her, amused.

"Why would that be, M'lady?" He smiled. Astrid fake pouted and crossed her arms.

"She loves you more than me." She said.

"Maybe she does." Hiccup said and wrapped his arm around Astrid. "But we'll have another child who will love you more than me in the future."

"Yeah." Astrid took Zephyr. "I'm putting her to bed then I'm going to bed."

"Oh! Then I'm coming!" Hiccup said and walked up the stairs and into Zephyr's room. Astrid laid her down and kissed her head before walking out of the room. Hiccup leaned against the crib and smiled at his sleeping daughter. She was wearing her purple pants and long sleeve shirt and her auburn hair was flopped down on her head with a few waves. Hiccup smiled once more before walking into his room to see his wife already in her nightgown sleeping.

He too curled up next to Astrid and went to sleep.

Line break—-

Hiccup woke to sunlight streaming through the window and terrible terrors singing on the rooftops. Hiccup also heard his daughter crying. Hiccup sighed and went to the living room.

Astrid was bouncing Zephyr gently to try and sooth her. She finally stopped crying and moved towards her breast. Astrid sat down and lifted her shirt and I wrapped her bindings before leading the baby to her breast.

Hiccup smiled and kissed Astrid's forehead. "Morning."

"Morning, Babe." Astrid replied. "At least she slept through the night."

"Yeah." Hiccup breathed. "Anyway, do you want to eat at the Great Hall or here?"

Astrid thought for a moment. "Great Hall. I don't feel like making anything." She wrapped her bindings and pulled her shirt back down. She handed Zephyr to Hiccup who held her against his chest before running up the stairs.

Astrid returned wearing her skirt, leggings, blue shirt, red vest, shoulder pads, and arm warmers. Astrid took Zephyr so Hiccup could go and change into his outfit.

He returned and took Zephyr and wrapped her up in a baby wrap. (U know like those things that hold your baby?)

"Ready?" Astrid asked, grabbing Hiccup's hand. His other hand was under their daughter because even though she was in a wrap, she could still fall out.

"Yup!" Hiccup said gleefully and started to walk out to the Great Hall. Astrid chuckled and ran after to him.

Line break—-

Hiccup waited impatiently by the docs with his mom while Astrid changed Zephyr's diaper.

Soon enough a boat pulled up and a family of five stepped out. Hiccup leaned over to his mother's ear. "I thought it was just Ragnar, Aunt Ayana and Uncle Ferguson?"

"Ragnar's wife and daughter came along." Valka whispered back right before the family advanced towards them.

"Valka!" Uncle Ferguson exclaimed and enveloped her in a hug. The broke the embrace and he looked around.

"Ferguson." Valka smiled. "Good to see you." He nodded in agreement and looked at me.

"Hiccup." He said.

"Ferguson." I replied. His Aunt ran towards Valka and hugged her.

"We are so glad that you're not dead!" She said as she pulled away. She looked at me and hugged me.

"Hi, Aunt Ayana." Hiccup said.

"Hello, dear." She said and pulled back. "My my have you grown into a handsome young man!"

Hiccup rubbed the back of his neck. "Thanks."

"I don't know what you see in him." Ferguson muttered to his wife. Ragnar and his wife came up to Hiccup.

"This is my wife, Ingrid and our daughter, Alvilda. We call her Ally." He introduced his three year old daughter.

"Hello, Hiccup. Nice to meet you." She said kindly and Hiccup smiled and nodded. Ragnar gave him a once over.

"You're still super skinny. Not the fighting type. Still a runt. A disappointment." Ragnar muttered.

"Ragnar!" Ingrid slapped his chest with her hand, her other hand was being held by a blonde little girl with green eyes.

"Oh please! He's my cousin it's my job!" That shut Ingrid up. "And you do not chastise me!"

That's not how you treat a woman, Hiccup thought.

"You still single?" Ragnar laughed. "That was a bad question. Of course you are!"

Then, Astrid walked over with Zephyr sleeping against her chest. Zephyr wore a lavender long sleeve shirt and the same colored pants with little brown socks.

Astrid stood next to Hiccup and smiled. "Ragnar."

"Who are you?" He asked the blonde woman standing next to his cousin.

"Astrid Hofferson now Haddock. Hiccup's girlfriend for three years and wife of 4." (Bc they're thirty-one at the end of HTTYD 3 so 🤷‍♀️)

"He's not single?"

"Nope." Hiccup said. "And this is our daughter, Zephyr." Hiccup gestured to the auburn baby in his wife's arms.

"She's adorable!" Ingrid said and smiled at the baby. Ingrid strokes Zephyr's foot and watched her little toes curl. Astrid smiled at the blonde woman who looked about her age.

"Thanks."

"Gods, I remember when Ally used to curl her toes like that." Ingrid said wistfully.

"Ingrid! You do not speak unless I tell you to okay? Or you'll be sleeping on the ground with no pillows or blankets. Understood?" Ragnar said and she nodded.

"Why do you treat her like that?" Astrid asked. Ragnar glared and moved towards her but Hiccup stood in front of her. Ragnar relaxed.

"It's the way we do it on my island." He said and started walking away. "Ingrid, come!" She picked up Ally and ran up to her husband.

Line break—-

It was dinner time and Hiccup and Astrid sat at a table by themselves with Zephyr in Hiccup's arms.

Ingrid looked both ways not seeing her husband anywhere, grabbed Ally, and sat down next to Astrid who was across from Hiccup.

"Hey!" Astrid smiled. Ingrid returned it.

"Uh, can we all talk?" She said, bottom lip trembling.

"Yeah sure." Hiccup said.

"It's an arranged marriage." She said. "I didn't want to marry Ragnar. He treats me like a pet! The only good thing I got out of him is my daughter!" Tears started spilling down her cheeks. "I never get to do what I want. I had a boyfriend then my dad made me break up with him to marry Ragnar. I hate him!"

"Oh," Hiccup said. "I don't like him either."

"Well, Ingrid. I used to hate this doofus too." She jabbed a thumb at Hiccup. "But eventually I fell in love with him."

"Really?" She said.

"Yup. So maybe if you give him some time and talk to him about how you don't like how he's been treating you then maybe he'll change." Astrid shrugged and took Zephyr as Hiccup stood to get more food.

"Okay." Ingrid smiled. "My old boyfriend is married anyway."

"Oh."

"Yeah. Can I hold her?" Ingrid pointed to Zephyr and Astrid nodded before placing her gently in Ingrid's arms.

"She's so precious and tiny!" She exclaimed and stroked her cheek.

"She was born one and a half months early and she hasn't grown." Astrid said with a frown.

"How old is she?"

"Three weeks." Astrid smiled and stroked her daughters auburn hair. Zephyr opened her eyes and looked around. Ingrid gasped.

"That's a beautiful blue!" Ingrid gushed. "Ally, look at her!"

"She's pretty." Ally giggled and held one of the baby's small hands.

"She's going to be a beautiful young woman." Ingrid put Zephyr back into Astrid's arms.

"Thank you." Hiccup sat back down.

"Ragnar's coming. We can watch Ally." Hiccup said. Ingrid stood, smiled, and walked over to her husband.

"Ragnar, we need to talk." Ingrid said, leading him out of the Great Hall.

Line break—-

Hiccup was reading Ally the Book Of Dragons while Astrid held Zephyr close and smiled at her husband.

"I'm going to put Zeph to bed." Astrid said and walked up the stairs. She changed her daughters diaper and wrapped her in a blanket before laying her in her wooden crib.

Astrid kissed Zephyr's forehead. "I love you, Baby Girl." She lit a candle in the room before shutting the door and walking downstairs.

"Alright, Ally. Let's get you to bed." Hiccup said as Astrid warmed up some yak milk.

"Okay!" Ally said and walked up the stairs behind Hiccup. She changed into her PJ's before climbing into her little bed next to Zephyr's crib.

"Goodnight, Ally." He whispered and went to the door but stopped.

"Hiccup?" Her little voice said.

"Yes?"

"Can you kiss me goodnight? Mommy always does." She asked.

"Of course." Hiccup knelt next to her and kissed her forehead before walking out the door and shutting it.

Hiccup sat next to Astrid on the couch and took a sip of her milk. He was about to say something when Ragnar and Ingrid came through the door. Ragnar walked into the guest room to change.

"So?..." Astrid started.

"He said he'll try to be nicer and try to help me love him. So good." She smiled.

"What did I tell you?" Astrid smiled and hugged Ingrid before heading up the stairs. "Night!"

"Good night, Ingrid." Hiccup said and went up to his and Astrid's room. He changed and laid down in the bed next to Astrid. He blew out the candle and the room became dark.

"Hiccup?" Astrid whispered and wrapped an arm around his middle.

"Hmm?" He replied sleepily.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

Line break—-

Astrid woke to silence. Panic started to surround her. She shook Hiccup awake. "Astrid?" He rubbed his eyes.

"Hiccup!" She whispered. He shot up.

"What? What happened?" He asked and laid a hand on her back.

"Zephyr isn't crying!" She said her panic showing.

"I'm sure she's fine." Hiccup said and rolled over. Astrid leaned over him and looked him in the eye.

"What if she's not?" She asked.

"Then you're wasting time talking to me." He said and closed his eyes. Astrid growled and slapped his bare chest.

"I hate you." She said and stood up. She walked down the dark and empty hallway to her daughter's room. She opened the door and peered over the crib.

She saw Zephyr's chest moving up and down steadily and she sighed in relief. She felt her daughter's forehead and felt that her fever had broken.

Astrid shut the door and laid back down in bed. Hiccup, his back facing her, let out a little snore. Astrid smiled and wrapped an arm around his waist and pressed her cheek to his back.

"She was fine?"

"Yeah. Love you." Astrid sighed and fell asleep.

Line break—-

The sun was shining and the Haddocks were all down stairs. "So what do you guys want to do today?" Astrid asked, burping Zephyr.

"Uh," Ragnar looked at Ingrid who was wrapping up their daughter's leg. She had fallen and scrapped her shin. "What do you want to do, Ingrid?"

"Um," Ingrid thought about it. "Can we just sit inside and exchange stories? I love doing that. And it's raining." She said the last word right when a clap of thunder boomed. Astrid shrieked and moved closer to Hiccup.

"I guess that sparks our first story to tell." Hiccup smiled and took Zephyr into his arms. "Why Astrid is scared of storms."

Line break—-

By the time stories were told it was nighttime and the families headed to bed.

Line break—-

Ragnar, Ingrid, Ally, Aunt Ayana, and Uncle Ferguson stood in front of the Haddocks. "Thank you for having us. It was fun." Ferguson said.

"Yes thank you." Ingrid said and hugged Astrid. "Especially you." She whispered in Astrid's ear. She turned to Hiccup. "Bye." She hugged him then looked at the baby in his arms. "Bye, Zephyr!" She kissed her forehead then boarded the ship with the rest of her family.

Ragnar shook hands with Hiccup. "I'm sorry for everything."

"It's fine. Visit anytime!" Hiccup smiled and Ragnar boarded the ship and they took off.

Astrid turned to Hiccup. "That went better then we thought."

Hiccup wrapped his arm that wasn't holding the baby around his wife and pressed his lips to hers. "Yeah. Picnic?"

"Sure." Astrid laced their fingers together and walked off into the day ahead of them.

The end. How was it?
