After HTTYD 2

"Don't worry, Bud. It's finally over." Hiccup said as he tucked away his flight suit and  slowly moved away from Toothless and slowly advanced towards Drago. Everyone watched as the Bewilderbeast came up behind Hiccup and Drago gave a quiet but evil laugh. The huge dragon fired his icy breath at Hiccup, trapping him. 

Astrid ran up and saw a huge chunk of ice that had trapped her boyfriend. Astrid's eyes widened and filled with tears as her hand flew to her mouth. She ran up to the glacier and pounded on it as tears poured from her eyes. She kept pounded. 

"No!" Valka hopped off the baby dragon and started pounding on the ice next to Astrid. "No!" 

"Hiccup..." Astrid cried and looked at her bloodied hands from pounding on the ice so hard. She put her head against it, imagining Hiccup doing the same on the other side. "I love you." She whispered.

Valka looked at Astrid and her eyes softened when she heard those three words. She put a hand on the crying girls shoulder and she looked up at her boyfriend's mother. Astrid let out a sob and Valka enveloped the girl in her arms. "You were his girlfriend?"

"Betrothed." Astrid sobbed and Valka's heart clenched. Astrid pulled away and looked at Drago as he spoke.

"Do you see what happens when you mess with the alpha? Death!" Drago shouted. Astrid watched as Drago held up his axe and looked at Toothless. He brought it down and right before it hit the dragon-

My eyes flew open and I sat up, breathing heavily. I put my fingers to my cheek and felt them wet with tears so I let out a few more. I through my blanket off of me and swung my legs over the side and set my bare feet on the cold wood floor of my room. I looked down and saw I was wearing just my read shirt and my blue leggings. I felt something tickle my back and jumped but I noticed it was just my hair. 

I shakily stood and quietly walked out of my room, down the stairs, and out the door. I didn't even think about putting on shoes and I ran to Hiccup's hut. I quietly opened the door and walked up the stairs. I pushed open Hiccup's door, stepped in, and shut it. I walked over to him and sobbed in relief as I saw his chest moving up and down.

The blanket was up to his hips and I could see he was wearing his green pants. I shook his bare freckled shoulder. His eyes fluttered open and he looked at me and sat lazily against his head board. "Astrid?" He must have noticed my red eyes and wet cheeks because he smiled and said, "Come here." He scooted over and laid back down. I climbed onto the bed and snuggled up to his bare freckled chest. He wrapped and arm around my waist and rested his chin on my head.

"Sorry." I muttered. 

"Don't be." He rubbed my back soothingly. "Nightmare?"

"yeah."

"Same one?" 

"yeah." I wrapped my arm around his middle.

"I'll chase the nightmares away. I love you." he kissed my hair as I fell asleep.

I don't know what it is but I always feel safe in his arms and I didn't have another nightmare.
