New Villagers part 4

This one may be a lot shorter than the others and this is also the last one for 'New Villagers'. I'll take requests for chapters to come. Astrid may be a little OOC.

Astrid woke up to sunlight streaming through the window. She turned and saw that Hiccup already left to breakfast, letting her sleep longer. She stood, slipped on her skirt and armor, and walked out the door. She stepped into the Great Hall, grabbed a plate, and got in line for food. As she made her way through the line she heard many, "Morning Chieftess." from people around her. She always told them to call her Astrid but no avail. She looked around for her husband and saw his conspicuous form slouched at an empty table. She looked at his lugubrious face and sat down in front of him. He spun his spoon redundantly in whatever he was eating or not eating. She placed a hand over his right that was clenched on the table. When he felt her touch he un-clenched his fist and allowed her warm hand to slip into his. She stared at him with worried blue eyes as his emerald green looked anywhere but hers. "Babe." She whispered, as she tried not to draw attention to them. He didn't look at her. "Babe." She placed her finger under his chin and forced him to look at her.

"I'm sorry." He said quietly.

"Why?"

"For waking you last night. You didn't have to stay awake, you could've slept somewhere else." He muttered.

"Why would I do that? The couch is cold." She looked at him and rubbed his arm from across the table. "It'll all be okay."

"I miss him." A tear rolled down his cheek and Astrid wiped it away. "I thought he'd be here to help me through being a chief and a father. Not that I'm going to be one anytime soon." His eyes glanced at Astrid's stomach then back to her eyes. Astrid bit her lip.

"Well... actually." She laughed nervously. "i'm about a week along."

"What?" He said stupidly.

"I'm with child, Hiccup." She said in a 'duh' tone. Hiccup smiled.

"Really?" He asked while shooting up. Astrid stood too.

"Yup. Would I lie to you?" She said as she stood in front of him. He shook his head, wrapped his arms around her, and spun her around. "Now, I'd like some rules."

"Anything."

"So as you know pregnant woman are not emotionally stable." Hiccup nodded. "I want you not get offended by anything I say, get me anything I'm craving, comfort me when I cry for no reason, make me laugh when I'm feeling down, not yell back when I'm angry, and-" She paused.

"And what?" Hiccup asked curious.

"Don't be mad when I make you sleep on the couch some nights." She said.

"Okay, anything for you." He pecked her lips, grabbed her hand, and pulled her out of the Great Hall. Emily saw the exchange and glared at her food as the couple left.

LINE BREAK---

Emily was walking through Berk when she spotted Astrid talking to a girl with black hair in a braid down her shoulder, green eyes, and a metal skirt. She walked up to them.

"excuse me, I'd like to speak to Astrid if that's alright." She said in a sweet voice. The woman nodded and walked away.

"Bye, Heather! Get back safe!" Astrid called. She turned to Emily and glared.

"What do you want?"

"To put you in your place." Emily said in a menacing tone. Astrid rolled her eyes. "Keep rolling those eyes of yours, maybe you'll find a head in their."

"I think I have more of a brain than you." Astrid shot back.

"Last time I checked you were the blonde." Emily said with a laugh. (No offense to blondes, I am one myself.)

"No, I may be blonde but I am not dumb in the slightest." Astrid said and crushed her arms over her chest.

"Maybe but I actually have people who love me." Emily told the Chieftess. Astrid looked at her questionably. "My parents love me. When your mother introduced herself she mentioned her husband but not her daughter until someone asked about children." Astrid's arms uncrossed.

"She didn't?" Astrid asked, looking at her mother.

"Nope. She sounded like she forgot about you." Emily said. "Oh and I have loving siblings unlike you. Your parents must have not had any because they didn't want them to become like you."

"I had a sibling." Astrid muttered.

"What was that?" Emily sneered.

"I had an older brother. He died in a dragon raid." Astrid said. "I was two." Emily couldn't help but feel a little sad about that. She couldn't imagine losing Finn or Phoebe.

"I also have a boyfriend who loves me more than you." She said, pushing her other feelings aside.

"What do you mean?"

"Hiccup, we've been having an affair since last week? He didn't tell you? When you were sleeping he took me on a date." Emily said. She watched as Astrid's eyes widened and looked at Hiccup who was talking to his mom. Astrid knew she shouldn't believe it but she couldn't help her insecurities climbing up her body.

"Y-you're lying." Astrid said a little shakily, eyes filling with tears.

"Nope. Not one bit. He took me to this cliff that overlooked the hills and trees. It was beautiful. He said it's our spot." Emily said knowing she'd hit a mark.

"N-no, no, that's our spot." Astrid said.

"Not anymore, Hun. He told me how he never loved you but put up with you because he pitied you because no one really likes you." Emily said with fake sympathy in her voice.

"Did he actually?" Astrid said as a tear rolled down her cheek.

"Yup, and just before you woke, he told me he noticed you were late and didn't care about the baby and you can handle it by yourself." She new that hit the mark when tears rolled down her cheeks and she ran towards her house. Emily couldn't help but feel a little guilty for saying those things.

Hiccup saw his wife run up the steps to their house, wipe at her eyes, and ran in. He walked over to Emily who looked guilty and glared at her. He walked over and stood in front of her.

"What did you tell her?" He asked. "If you don't tell you'll be banished from the island."

"Told her no one loved her and that you're cheating on her." She said. Hiccup sighed angrily, glared at her, and took a deep breath.

"The council will decide your punishment. Tell my mom what you've done." He said as he ran up the steps. He slammed the door open, not bothering to close it, and ran up the stairs. He opened the door to see Astrid opening a dresser drawer, taking out clothes, and putting it in a box.

"Astrid?" He said. Her head snapped to look at him and he saw tear tracks on her cheeks, her eyes red, and a glare on her face.

"What?" She snapped.

"What she said wasn't true. If I was having an affair do you think I would have looked like I did this morning? Would I just throw you away after four and a half years of being a couple? Would I tell you I loved you everyday if I didn't? Do you think I would ever want to be with something else? Why would you believe her?"

"I tried not to, Hiccup! But she said some pretty hurtful things! She said my mom didn't mention me until someone asked. That my parents never had more children because they didn't want it to be like me. She said that you didn't care about the baby." She said as she unpacked all her clothes, put them back, and sat on the bed. Hiccup sat next to her.

"Your mom was probably distracted, they never had more children because of fear they'd lose another one, and our baby isn't even born yet and I love it to death. And I love you and only you."

"I love you too." Then they kissed.

LINE BREAK---

Emily learned not to treat people like she treated one of her leaders and besides she found someone that loves her. Her punishment was (insert punishment)

Besides she was stupid to think she could break them up. Now they had a healthy baby girl named Zephyr.

THE END with New Villagers.
