New Villagers: part 1

Authors Note: This will contain HTTYD 3 spoilers.

It's been two days since Hiccup and Astrid's wedding. A couple weeks after the war with Grimmel. The New Berk was recovering from the war. Everyone was missing their dragons but knew they were in a safer place, away from harm which lightened people's mood. But no one was in a better mood then Hiccup and Astrid or so they thought. Hiccup and Astrid were the closest to their dragons and it was harder for them but they understood they needed to leave. Not to mention being married brightened their mood.

It was a warm sunny day and the newly wedded couple were sitting by a cliff, legs dangling off the edge. Hiccup looked down at his hands and frowned. Astrid, noticing the sudden change in her husband's mood, looked at him and grabbed his hand in hers. "Hey, what's bothering you?" She asked.

"I miss him." He said as his eyes filled with tears, but none spilled over. Astrid laid her head on his shoulder and sighed.

"I know, I miss him too. And Stormfly." She said sadly.

"Astrid, why am I always losing things?" Hiccup whispered as he looked out into the distance. She looked up at him in confusion.

"What do you mean?" She replied.

"My mom. My tribe. My dad. Berk. Toothless." He told her and Astrid grabbed Hiccup' s face in her hands and stared into his emerald green eyes.

"You're mom is here now. You have your tribe back. We re built Berk just in a different location. Toothless and your dad are always with you in here." She placed her hand on his chest, over his heart. He smiled at her. "And besides, you'll always have me." She pecked his cheek.

"Thank you. I love you, Astrid." He said gratefully.

"I love you too, Chief." She said back playfully, knowing he hates being called that.

"Don't call me that, Chieftess." He said as he glared at her. She put her hands up in a 'I surrender' gesture and laughed. She made a move to get up  but Hiccup quickly grabbed her waist and pulled her to him. She gave a little shriek and Hiccup laughed. "I'm sensing a deja vu." Hiccup whispered in her ear making her shudder. He then started tickling her sides as she laughed hysterically. She tried to get away but failed. She finally got out of his grasp and stood, he stood seconds after her and wrapped his arms around her waist and looked into her ocean blue eyes. They laughed and kissed. They pulled away, Hiccup's arm wrapped around her shoulders, and hers wrapped around his waist. They walked back to the Village in a peaceful silence.

LINE BREAK----

A few hours later a boat docked at Berk. A buff man with blonde hair and beard and grey eyes stepped out with a woman with brown hair in a neat bun and blue eyes. Behind them three children stepped out. One of the girls, around nineteen, had curly brown hair and grey eyes. The boy around fourteen, had blonde hair and blue eyes. The other girl and last child, around ten, had brown hair and blue eyes.  They walked over to the nearest villager which happened to be Astrid's mom.

"Excuse me miss, we were shipwrecked and the only ones to survive. We were wondering if we could stay here on this fine island." The man politely said. Mrs. Hofferson smiled.

"Why of course you can! What are your names? I'm Kiara Hofferson." Kiara said.

"I'm Asmund Cloner. Husband of Alvary, we call her Alva, father of Emily, Finn, and Phoebe." Asmund said.

"My husband's name is actually Asmund too" SHe laughed. Asmund chuckled.

"You don't have any children?" Alva asked, curiously.

"Oh! One she doesn't live with us though." She chuckled slightly.

"Where does she live?" Asmund asked curious as to why their daughter doesn't live with them.

"With her husband of course!" Kiara smiled brightly. "She's the Chieftess." She said that with pride.

"Why isn't your husband leading the village?" Finn asked.

"Oh! She married the Chief two days ago." Emily smiled to herself. She still has a chance! She was about to ask a question when a door to a house slammed open and a girl with long blonde hair, half down half in a braid, and blue eyes ran out holding a book. (Hiccup's map.)  Soon after, a boy with crazy auburn hair and green eyes and a prosthetic leg ran out of the house chasing after the girl. He's cute, Emily thought. Kiara chuckled as Hiccup chased his wife around. Other villagers smiled warmly at them.

"Give it back!" Hiccup shouted though he had a smile on his face.

"Nope!" Astrid shouted back, laughing.

"That's my daughter." Kiara said proudly.

"They rule the village?" Asmund said.

"Yup. Together." The mother of the Chieftess said.

"Shouldn't they, I don't know, be more serious and buff?" Alva asked as she watched the two leaders of Berk chase each other. Hiccup caught up to Astrid, wrapped his arms around her from behind, and spun her around in the air. She laughed and he set her down, kissed her, and grabbed the book out of her hand. She pulled away with a scowl on her face.

"Don't look so smug, Babe." Astrid said as she glared at her husband. Hiccup playfully glared back.

"Why? I got it back, did I not, M'lady?" He said in triumph. Astrid humphed and walked towards their house. Hiccup quickly grabbed her arm, spun her around, and crashed his lips to hers. She wrapped her arms around his neck and his went around her waist. People near by cheered or wolf whistled. They broke apart and ran out of sight.

"Where are they going?" Phoebe asked.

"Probably to their cliff. They go there to get away." Kiara said sadly.

"Why do they want to get away?" Finn asked, confused. A woman with auburn hair in braids and blue eyes who was listening answered.

"Boy lost his dad a year ago and his best friend a couple weeks ago. He only has the tribe, friends, wife, and me left." She said, her accent strong.

"What do you mean you?" Alva asked.

"I'm Hiccup's mother, Valka." Valka said. "Why don't Kiara and I give you a tour?" The family nodded and followed the auburn haired woman around. They came across an empty patch of land.

"Why is it empty?" Emily asked.

"Those were gong to be the dragon stables but they live in a safer place now away from any harm. Hiccup's best friend was a Nightfury named Toothless and Astrid's was a Deadly Naddar named Stormfly." Kiara said. They moved on.

LINE BREAK---

The tour was over and they were heading to the Great Hall for dinner. The sun was setting casting a beautiful orange glow across the village. They were almost there when they heard a shout.

"Race ya!" Astrid's voice was heard.

"Not fair, Astrid! You have both legs!"  Hiccup shouted as he tried to beat her there but fell. Astrid turned around and stared blankly at her husband before she burst out laughing. He stood, brushed himself off, and walked over to her grumbling.

"Very funny I could have died." He grumbled sarcastically.

"Very funny I could have died." Astrid mimicked, using her impression of him. He glared.

"I do not sound like that." He stated. Astrid nudged him with her elbow.

"Oh, lighten up, Babe." She said as they disappeared inside. Through their converstation, Emily looked at the couple with jealousy. The Cloners followed Valka and Kiara who said they could sit with them. They got food, sat down, and started eating. A few minutes later a laugh from a certain blonde  could be heard. Emily rolled her eyes. What an annoying laugh, she thought. The Chief and Chieftess sat next to the family, across from each other.

"You're suck an idiotic knuckle head." Astrid said.

"But it could work!" Hiccup protested.

"It could...but what if it fails? You don't have a dragon to protect you this time, Hiccup" She said gently. Hiccup nodded and took another bite of his food.

"You're right. I just miss flying." He said sadly.

"Hey! We could always use our armor! You just need to make new wings!" Astrid exclaimed. A huge smile spread across Hiccup's face.

"And we could go flying!" He said back. She pointed at him with a smirk on his face.

"Exactly." They continued eating until a familiar tune started playing. The couple's eyes brightened.

"Go dance, you two." Valka said. She turned to the family infront of her. "I taught 'em this dance."  The couple jumped up and ran to the middle of the room. A woman and a man stood by the instruments and started singing.

"I'll swim and said on savage seas. With never fear of drowning and gladly ride the waves of life if you will marry me.

No scorching sun, nor freezing cold, will stop me on my journey if you will promise me your heart..." The man stopped singing and the woman started.

"And love me for eternity.. My dearest one my darling dear your mighty words astound me." Astrid put her forearm against Hiccup's as they walked in circled and switched arms.

"But I've no need for might deeds when I feel your arms around me." The woman stopped and the an started again.

"But I would bring you rings of gold." Hiccup and Astrid did a dance with their feet then Hiccup bent down on one knee and spun her around him before standing again.

"I'd even sing you poetry." Hiccup brought Astrid to his chest, on arm around her waist and the other holding her right hand. Her right hand clasped in his while her left was on his shoulder. He backed away from her and brought her back to his chest again.

"And I will keep you from all harm if you will stay beside me!" He pulled her to him again. The woman sang again.

"I have no use for rings of gold." Astrid turned around so her back was up against Hiccup's chest. His right hand was holding her left hand while his left held her right hand above her head.

"I care not for your poetry." They hopped to the right. "I only want your hand to hold." They hopped to the left. "I only want you near me." They hopped back to the right again and Hiccup spun her around so her chest was pressed against his. The man and woman sang together as the couple danced in circles.

"To love to kiss to sweetly hold. For the dancing and the dreaming. Through all life's sorrows and delights, I'll keep your laugh inside me. I'll swim and sail on savage seas with never fear of drowning. And gladly ride the waves of life." Hiccup placed his hands on hi wife's hips.

"If you will marry me!" Hiccup spun her around. He set her down, both laughing. The great hall erupted into cheers and claps. The only one not clapping was Emily because she was going to put that blonde in her place. She wanted Hiccup and she was going to get what she wanted.

Part two will be out sometime tomorrow.
