"HICCUP! SON!" Stoick shouted.

"DAD! NO!" Hiccup yelled back.

Suddenly, and before Stoick could get there, Toothless fired. Hiccup felt someone push him to the ground. Everyone froze thinking that Hiccup had taken the blast. But as the smoke cleared they all saw Gobber laying motionless on the ground where Hiccup had been moments ago.

Hiccup ran over, "GOBBER!" he yelled.

Gobber didn't make a sound or any movements. Hiccup's mentor, and friend had just died for him.

"Oh Gobber." Hiccup whispered as the tears began to flow.

That's when everyone else got there.

"May the Valkyries welcome you and lead you through Odin's great battlefield. May they sing your name with love and fury so that we may hear it rise from the depths of Valhalla. A great man has fallen. A mentor. A dragon rider. A blacksmith. A friend." Stoick said, and with that Hiccup let the first arrow fly.

"Thank you Gobber...for everything." Hiccup said.

*Sniff* Sorry guys...I've had this idea for a long time and decided to write it...

I know that it's short but that's all I have...
