So I decided to update, because I finally have an idea.

this is going to be the LAST OFFICIAL CHAPTER of HTTYD in the Modern World; half of this being the Dragon Riders leaving Amber's house and the other half being the Vikings on Dragon's Edge after they have helped Girl Hookfang. There will be some time skips, and their weird senses of déja vu.

I had written this chapter with the fact that they had all watched RTTE before kept in mind, so while some episodes referenced here have not been mentioned at all in the book, assume that the Riders have watched RTTE because Amber did show them, she sent them home, and brought them back to hang out.

Also, I like the song :)

Normal POV/3rd person POV:

"I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm actually gonna miss this place." Snotlout said, looking around Amber's house.

"I'm sorry, care to repeat that?" Amber asked with a smile on her face.

"I'm actually gonna miss this place, even though I could probably die if I open the wrong door."  he sounded genuine, and almost sad.

"Wow, not an ounce of sarcasm," she said.  "I'm proud."

"Well, I guess this is goodbye..." Hiccup said sadly.  "It was really nice meeting you, Amber."

"It was great to see you, too."

"I hope we'll see you again." Astrid said.  "It was nice to hang out with another girl other than Ruffnut."

"Amen to that, sister." Ruff agreed.  "Your dragons and weapons are so cool, I really wish we could bring them back with us..."

"Umm, you have deathsongs, screaming deaths and sea shockers on Berk, though." Amber said, confused.

"You're right, but those weapons!!!" Tuff exclaimed.

Amber looked at her weapons rack, then back to the twins, and then at the rack.  She sighed and grabbed two long spears.  "Here you go."

The twins crushed her in a hug.

"You're the best!!!" Tuff said.  "Right guys?  Isn't she the best?"

"Yes, please let me go before I suffocate and die." Amber pushes both twins away.  "Anyways, I'm gonna make sure Johann is already in your world, and then, the portal should appear in about two---"

A glowing blue and purple portal appeared in the living room.

"Oh well, I was expecting it to appear in another two hours, but ok."

"I'm actually kind of scared." Astrid admitted.

"So am I." Fishlegs added.

"It's the right one this time, I promise." Amber said. "I hope..."

"What do you mean by this time?" Snotlout questioned.

"Last time, I may have sort of transported you ten years into the future and almost messed up the stuff in the future."

Six pairs of eyes stared at her.

"But I fixed it!"

Hiccup nodded and then stepped towards the portal.  "See you," he said and disappeared in a flash of glowing blue light.

One by one, the Riders stepped into the portal.  Amber watched with a smile of satisfaction on her face.  She hadn't screwed anything up this time. 

The Dragon-pets also went through, Toothless being the last one to go. He nuzzled Amber's leg before turning and leaving.

The portal closed with a soft whoosh, and Amber turned to leave, only to see the crumpled chip bags, candy wrappers, and pillows scattered in front of her tv.

"Oh come on...."

After she had cleaned everything, Amber turned and loaded up Netflix.

"Lets hope everyone got home safe and sound because I do not want a repeat of last time."

In the HTTYD world:

Re-appearing back on the Edge, the Dragon Riders didn't feel any different, nor did they remember anything that had happened. To them, it was like they never left the Edge in the first place.

"Did you see those baby Nightmares?" Astrid asked. "They're so cute!"

"And they're perfectly healthy, too!" Fishlegs added.

"And to think, I saved them!" Snotlout bragged, repeating what he'd said in front of the cave.

Hookfang growled. "Last time I checked, it was me who defeated the other Nightmare."

"Ok, ok, we saved them." Snotlout said quickly.

"Wait, I feel like something is going to happen." Ruff said.

"Yeah, me too." Tuff agreed.

"Is it your weird, whatever you call it?" Snotlout asked. "Intuition or whatever?"

"Twintuition!" Tuff corrected with a grin before his expression turned into one of confusion. "Wait, how did you know?"

"Yeah, we never told anyone." Ruff added.

"I'm sorry, I'm just getting the weirdest sense of déja vu." Snotlout said, holding his head.

"Hey, me too!" Tuff said. "Right when we got back, I keep thinking that we are probably going to be attacked, so we should keep the Night Terrors on their posts at all times."

"Wait, but isn't that how it feels every day since we found out that Dagur is on the loose, hunting us down?" Hiccup asked. "Even though he doesn't know where Dragon's Edge is?"

"Oh, you're right."

"But let's still keep the Night Terrors on their posts, and keep track of it." Astrid said. "I wouldn't want anything going past us without us knowing about it."

"Maybe we should see if anyone is patrolling on Berk?" Fishlegs added. "If something were to happen to our parents there, then I'd never forgive myself."

"Berk can take care of itself, I'm sure." Hiccup said. "My dad, Gobber and the others won't let anything past them."

Time skip to Team Astrid

"It was a hit and run attack." Stoick was saying.

Astrid only stared at the pile of rubble that used to be her home.

"Relax," Gobber said comfortingly. "They were out at the yak races."

"But if they had been home..." she trailed off. "Wait, Fishlegs. What was that you said? About having some people patrol Berk like a guard? How did you know..."

"I didn't!"

"What's going on?" Hicucp asked.

"Are you all getting the strangest sense of déja vu?" Tuff asked. "And the next thing you know, we'll probably be showing Astrid support by not sleeping in our houses, but wherever she decides to spend the night."

A few hours later

"Ok, I never expected this to actually happen." Tuff admitted. "I was merely stating an example of the next thing that could happen."

"Something's not right." Hiccup said.

"I agree." Ruff said. "First, it was Snotlout finding out about our twintuition, now Tuff predicting the future. What's next? Humans with dragon wings? Figuring out that someone close to us is a traitor?"

And, that's it! While the ending isn't at all what I had initially planned, I do like how it ends off.

It's been almost a year since I started this, and it felt good to finish a book, like actually finish it.

with this completed, I can turn my focus to my Creepypasta story, HTTYD truth or dare rewrite, Everyone meets HTTYD and more.
