Christmas/Snoggletog Special part 2

Normal POV:

Everyone stared at Stormfly with the mistletoe in her beak.  The other Dragon/pets seemed very proud of her and all had smug looks on their faces.  (Do animals have smug expressions)

Amber returned wearing a black coat and boots.  She had several empty bags in her hand and an orange card in her other hand.

"Where are you going?" Hiccup asked, making everyone forget about them being under the mistletoe.  Stormfly chirped in annoyance and dismay.

"I'm going Boxing Day shopping." she said.

"What's that?" Ruff asked.  "Is it where you go around hitting people and buy stuff?"

"No.  It's the day after Christmas where everything is on sale and it's also an opportunity to return any gifts you don't like."

"It's rude to return the gifts." Astrid frowned.  "People spend time and money to get said gifts."

"Yeah, I don't go to return gifts, I go for the sales." Amber said.  "Now let's go."

They went outside to a bus station.  To the Riders, it was a bench with a pole and a sign.

"What are we doing here?" Tuff asked.

"We're waiting for the bus, now shush." Amber said and got out her compass card.

"What's a bus?" Fishlegs asked.

"It's a transportation system." Amber answered.  "Similar to how you Vikings get around using dragons, we modern day humans use buses and cars."

"What are cars?" Snotlout asked.

"Cars are---oh, look, the bus is here."

The bus arrived and it was driven by none other than Trait-----Trader Johann.

Amber's POV:

Three things ran through my head when that little backstabbing traitor showed up in the bus.

One:  how did he escape the ice block and the freezer with double locks?

Two:  how did he not die from hypothermia?  I wish he died from hypothermia, oh wait, he does.  In RTTE season 6 episode 13, King of Dragons part 2.  Allow me to rephrase.  Why couldn't he die of hypothermia sooner?

Three (most importantly): HOW THE ACTUAL HELL DOES HE KNOW HOW TO DRIVE.

Four: Does he have a license?

Five:  Will the cops arrest him for stealing a bus?

I know I said three, but still...

Normal POV:

"Morning, Dragon Riders, how've you been?" Johann asked in what the Riders thought was a friendly tone.

"It was going really well until you showed up." Amber said with a forced smile on her face.

"Why you---"

"Now come on, with Johann driving this, I feel like I don't need my card." Amber said, putting her card away in her wallet with a light fury design.

(I made this myself.)

"You can't do that; you have to pay.  It's the rules!!!" Johann complained.

"Shut up, what do you know about following rules?" Amber led the Riders in the bus.

"Will this blow up?" Snotlout asked.  "Will we die?"

"It depends." Echo said.  "Maybe."

"I hope it doesn't blow up." Astrid said.

"Yeah, you just want Hiccup to be unharmed." Lizz mumbled under her breath.

"Lizz, be nice." Amber said and sauntered to the drivers seat.  "Johann, move."  She shoved the traitor out of the seat and sat down.  Then she threw him out the door and drove to the mall at breakneck speed.

"Is she trying to kill us?" Snotlout shrieked.

"I was born and raised on these streets, Jorgensen." Amber said, never taking her eyes off the road once.  "If I wanted to kill you, I would not do it here."  (I need to stop with these references)

"Was that supposed to be reassuring?" Astrid called.

"No."

"Are we there yet?" Tuff asked.

"Shut up and let me drive."

The bus broke the speed limit and arrived at the mall ten minutes after they got on.

Already, the mall was filled with people, all clamoring for stuff that was on sale.

"Damn, we need to move quickly." Amber cursed.  "Otherwise all the good stuff will be gone."

She got out her multiple bags and a small black bag with silver stars on it.  "Good thing Hermione taught me the Capacious extremis charm." (that's the Undetectable Extension Charm)

"Who's that?" Ruff asked.

"Someone from the wizarding world.  I need to go now, so I can get the stuff I want.  Bye!!"

With that, Amber disappeared into the growing crowd of people.  Echo and Lizz have disappeared as well.  The Riders stayed in a tight knit group to avoid being separated.

"I think we should just try and look at some stuff.....?" Fishlegs asked.

"Sure, we don't have anything to do anyways." Astrid agreed.  "What if we wanted to buy stuff?"

"I think Amber left us some coins?" Hiccup took out a small bag and pulled out a ten dollar bill.  "She left us pieces of paper."

"Wait there's more!" Tuff said and took out a twenty.  "What does this mean?"

"I think it's the equivalent to twenty coins, ten coins and five coins." Hiccup said.

"So if that's the case, then we have two hundred." Ruff said, earning some surprised looks from her friends.  "What?  I can do math sometimes."

"Can we buy more weapons?" Tuff asked.

"You already have tons of weapons that you "took" from Amber's house." Ruff said, making quotation marks when she said took.

"I know.  It's amazing how she didn't notice." Tuff said.

"I think you should return those." Fishlegs said, looking at some books that said How to Train Your Dragon, Serpent's Heir on the cover.  "Why does this book have a picture of Hiccup and Astrid on the cover?"

"Oh I think it's a picture book." Tuff said, looking at his sister.  "Remember those books that only had pictures and very little words?"

"Oh, yeah!" Ruff nodded.  "But why's it about us........?"

"Let's go, I'm hungry." Snotlout whined.

"Amber gave you hot chocolate, cookies and Yaknog before we left." Astrid said.

"Yes, and I hate her for that."

"For giving you cookies?" Fishlegs asked incredulously.

"No, not for the cookies Fishface.  For the Yaknog."

"I think we should go to the food place." Ruff said.  "What was it called?"

"A food court." Hiccup said.  "And she did say that we should go try this thing called frappuccinos or whatever it is."

"I think she said that it was in Starbucks." Astrid said, pointing to a girl walking past with a Starbucks frappuccino in her hand.

"Ok, let's go!" Tuff said enthusiastically.  "I hope two hundred is enough money to buy this thing."

With Amber, while she's hunting down some good deals--it's her POV

I wove between the crowd, not speaking a word unless she absolutely had to.  I stopped in front of the weapons store.  This seemed like a really good chance to stock up on weapons after Tuff stole them.

"Excuse me." I said after entering the shop.  "Do you happen to have---"  And I proceeded to list a bunch of weapons.

"We only have the machetes, knives, swords and bow and arrows." the clerk said.

"That's fine, I'll take it all." I said, really glad that I have the unlimited credit card.

With twenty weapons safely tucked away in my black star bag, I hummed Where No One Goes while  walking to the traps store.  Why this mall had a traps store, I'll never understand.

I walked in, bought a bunch of bear traps, netters and an arrow launcher.  I stuffed that all in my black bag.  My other tote bags were filled with food, which has to be kept separate from weapons because I don't want cross contamination.

After a two hour walk around in Michael's, I reluctantly left with even more wire, yarn and art supplies.  I found the gang at Starbucks, drinking frappuccinos.

I guess those lessons did come in handy.

I am so sorry for the late update.

But I wrote the chapter, it's out and it's Boxing Day.

Anywho, I hope you all had a Merry Christmas, got presents and other wonderful things.

I really should be doing my math homework, but I've decided to do that later.  Procrastination at its finest.

Also, I need a name for you amazing readers.  Like, what should I call the people who read this book.  I asked in the last chapter and I'll ask again, or until I come up with one.......

I'll see you all real soon!

Bye!

~Yoshi
