-Amber's POV-
                             
We all got back into our houses from the main hall to pack up for the looong journey. We were all relieved when the Chief agreed for me and the others to do this journey on finding my 'real family' and see them physically. 

I just hope they're okay after the story she told me, they've been through a lot of stuff -- and I mean a lot -- but I'm still worried.. Freydes told me how I got here, how we all got on this island, why my family was involved in all of this and abut their story.

Yes, this village isn't originally this far from the middle of the 'archipelago'  they so called. We're nearly outside, but thanks to the different dragons we've rescued during most of our egg searching expeditions -- or 'eggspeditions' as we called it --  they protected our island and also made it hidden with fogs, it's like it never existed, not even in maps.


One of our villagers were brave enough to soar outside to go to a nearby village ( hiding their dragon of course ) and was able to buy us a map of the archipelago months ago, it looked like no one has ever been in this side of it.


Only us villagers can know the way in and out. to go here it would usually take a month or two on boat, but on dragons? It would just take a week or less, depending on the weather and time during the travels. 
                           

It's just like going on an eggspedition all over again, but this time, we will have to travel a week or more to get to the place called Berk.


Oh, did I forget to talk about how we all got here? And about my family's story? I think so, I get off course easily. Okay here it is. My bad.


-Flashback- ( ok to ppl who haven't watched the 2nd movie of HTTYD: WARNING-CONTAINS SPOILERS -- even tho I made a twist, it's still the same -- )

We all sat on a table, facing each other as Freydes spoke up "So since you guys want to know about the history of how Asfalés-"


Freydes was cut off by Sef  "Wait, woah woah woah, I thought we were gonna learn somethings about Amber's real family?? "


"Well, Mr. Carson, we ended up here in a safe island 'because'  of Amber's real family, well one of them, her mother." She said.


"Okay, continue! I'll shut my brother up in case if he interrupts you again."  Saph said, coldly eyeing her brother.


"Well, as I said. Asfalés katafýgio ( I know it's a different language, it means Safe Haven in Greek, besides it sounds cool! *says Asfalés katafýgio again and again even getting tongue-tied* ) was never known if not by your mother, Amber." She smiled at me. I smiled back.


"She was a good friend of mine, she and her village would often likely visit us, she was so kind and gentle. Just like you."  I kind of felt  really proud at that statement.


"But she would also be reckless sometimes." She giggled. I kind of felt my cheeks slightly burn up while nervously chuckling. "Hehe..." 


"But any less, her tribe was our allies back then, well most of the tribe were killing dragons back then." We all slightly winced  upon hearing that, others cringed. "


Well us, not so much, our island were a bit father away from a raid's reach. there were only some that occurs back then." She then breathed. It made me nervous.


"Then one day, your mother, Valka, after a 4 weeks from you and your mother's declaration of  both of  you're so called death. Came into our village, with a four-winged dragon." She was gonna continue but she was cut off by Blaze's question. "Wait, excuse me for asking but 'Amber and her mother -- Valka's -- Death Declaration'?"


"She said that during the past 4 weeks, Valka, carrying Amber who was still  5 months old, was 'abducted' by the dragon she rode 4 weeks after. ( look idk what Hiccup's age was ok? Hiccup is 1 year older than Amber in this fanfic, idk how many months ^^' )They all thought She, along side her newly born daughter who was 5 months old back then, was killed by that dragon." After she said that, I then froze thinking about what my father would be going through, 'Is he ok?' was all I could think as I frowned.


"Continuing, we were all astonished, seeing the person, whom we presumed  'dead' was riding on the back of a four-winged dragon. We didn't dare to attack her dragon, as we already saw that the dragon haven't hurt her. She then descended downwards, as she stepped foot on the grass, she looked at me with a reassuring smile that she was ok. She then came up to me and told the others that the dragon won't hurt them, as long as they don't hurt it. She was holding you in her arms as she stepped closer to me. She told me to take care of you, since her new way of living is dangerous for a child to live in at a young age, she said that her living way had some issues with vikings who would not hesitate to shoot any dragon or hurt anyone, meaning that if you still lived with her, there's a chance of  you unable to live to a full life or kidnapped and raised as a slave." She said.


I was lowering my head 'now even my mother lives a horrible life,are they both okay?' I thought, trying not to cry.


"She then told me that she found an island far away from any danger. She helped us befriend dragons as we all traveled to this Island. That's when she said her goodbyes as she kissed your forehead and gave you to me. I made a promise that I'll keep you safe until you reach your adulthood. But since you're responsible enough, I might make some changes. Besides, no one would like being cooped up in one island." She stated. ( if you played Rise of berk, you would know what I did there if you can still remember the quests ) 


She was right. But why didn't she talked about any of my father? "uhm, Freydes, do you have any information about.. My 'father'?" She lowered her head, facing the floor.


"No, not really. The only thing I know that he is a chief, but your father wasn't the only one left in Berk." 'Chief?! My father's a chief?!--- wait, wasn't the 'only' one?'


"What do you mean, 'wasn't' the only one?" Saph spoke up. "Does she have... A younger sibling? A twin?!" Zarah asked.


"Well, actually, Amber was the second child." My eyes widened after hearing that.


( SPOILERS AHEAD, I warned you )


"Valka told me about the incident. She said that the dragon broke into their house on your older brother's room. you guys are just one year apart. She said that as she went to the house, she grabbed you first then quickly ran inside to get your brother but the dragon was already there, it found your brother on the cradle."


Whispered gasps were barely heard coming from one of the teens.


"She was gonna put you somewhere safe but there was no time she grabbed a sword while covering you at the opposite side where the sword was for protection. But before she strikes she saw the proof of her beliefs. The dragon was playing with your brother." I saw my friends' jaw dropped.


"Your brother wasn't scared but he was playfully giggling. The dragon used it's claws to pretend as a toy, but to her sudden movement that alarmed the dragon, it's claws accidentally scratched and made a scar on your brother's chin causing him to cry as it moved to face your mother. it winked like an owl, but it never attacked. Until your father tried to save both of you by putting an axe between the two of you and the dragon. The dragon was agitated and thought he was the threat then started to shoot fire towards him. He didn't get hit and successfully grabbed your brother as Valka stopped the dragon from shooting more fires, and looked back to the woman."


'Woah.... my parents are heroes.' I thought, amazed by the story.


"But as soon as your father turned around, you and your mother were grabbed by the dragon as it flew off. She thought it was the end, but the dragon only grabbed her, along with you, away from berk for safety. It thought that those vikings were a threat and since your mother wasn't it took her away and thought she belonged somewhere better, or safer for it." She stopped then frowned.


"She wished that she could go back but she thought it was safer for both your brother and father that she didn't because all three of you almost died only because she couldn't kill a dragon... Sadly I haven't heard any of the current events after we all moved here. It's been 18 years since we moved here so there must be a lot that had happened. But always be on your guard." She said.


We all nodded in agreement.


"*Yawns* Well we better get going and pack up before going to bed if we want to leave early. Then tomorrow is when we'll attach the bags to our dragons' saddles and then start with the journey." Blaze said.


"Mhm, thanks by the way for the story." Saph said to Freydes.


"At least we got some information on your family." Saph said to me. "Agreed, thanks Freydes" I thanked her.


"your welcome dear." She said smiling. After saying our good nights to each other, we all got out and went into our houses.

-Present-


I finished packing up my things that I needed and flopped straight on the bed then went to sleep.


' Tomorrow's gonna be the start of a new adventure '

Hey guys! That's all I've got for now, and we pretty much got home late  so I was a bit sleepy while making this, there are some errors, but anyways, it's out! I hope you liked it, pls vote if you did.


( btw I was traumatized earlier bc of what our Health teacher discussed before jumping into the exam an I promise you, you should NEVER ask why bc you wouldn't want to know )
