Moving
It's been 3 weeks since my Mom's funeral. I don't get all the pity given to me ... I never need pity. Pity never brings back the dead.
After that burial I saw a note written by Mom on the album Mom showed me before her death.
"Dear Son,
You may have never told me... but I know you want to leave this place.
If I die you are given full ownership of the house your father and I bought at
Happy Tree Town.
I know how much you hate to stay here.
You only stayed because of me...
If I die don't stay here. I want you to live a new life away from this city. Don't think about me... All I want is what is best for you.
Love,Mom."
So after those few weeks I got everything in order. I pack my things but left a few equipment, since I am giving this house to my relatives.
"Don't worry Flippy we will take care of this house." said my Uncle. "Thank you..." I said as I watch a man put the last of my things in the moving truck. I wave goodbye to my relatives as I board the cab.
"Sir, can we stop at the cemetery for a moment?" I ask the driver. "Uh, ok..." said the driver as we stopped at the cemetery gate."Thanks!" I said happily.
I stopped at my Mom's grace and looked at it. It was under a dark brown tree. It had a simple white gravetone engrave with Mom's name.
I looked at it silently and then put a pink flower on it.
Suddenly a yellow butterfly fluttered around. I let it rest on my finger. "Hi Mom." I said with a smile. "You know I'm going to move to your hometown... Are you sure the people there are nice?" The yellow butterfly fluttered around me and then landed on my nose. "Hahaha!" I laughed as it touch my nose."Yeah I know Mom I should see it myself." It then fluttered off, "Bye, Mom...May you rest in peace." I said with a mixture of happiness and sadness.
Before going away I placed a photo of our family in Mom's grave and a promise to come back and visit her again.
I then boarded the cab again. I watch the scenery until I fell asleep.
"Sir, we're almost there." said the driver. I woke up and look at the scenery.
It was a sunny day and Happy Tree Town seems like a simple yet happy place.
I then got out and stared at my new home. It was a long log cabin painted in dark green. Near my house are two people a blue moose and a cute red porcupine they seem to be playing with a kite. I might talk to them later after moving my stuff. "Well it's time to get to work." I said to myself as I saw the moving truck unloading my stuff.
To be continued...
