Blades stared at me shocked," B-but I thought we will stay with each other together. Are you just joking me?" I shook my head and said," I'm sorry..." I then noticed tears in Blades eyes. "You said you will never follow your dad's footprints- didnt he go to the war instead?" I then told her sadly, "My dad is.....dead." Blades eyes widen," Mr.Spinny is dead!" I nodded and said, "He told them that I will join them if he died." Blades then burst to tears. I then carefully took her outside and we sat down under our favorite apple tree.
4 minutes later.
"How do you feel now?" I asked her as I held out a handkerchief. "I don't know..." She said angrily. "Look I promise to get out alive...for you and mom." She then smiled at me and said, "You better keep that alright?" I nodded happily then I knew this was my chance, "Oh, and there's something else I want to tell you..." I then kneeled infront of her and continued what I was saying, "Incase I get back alive......will you marry me?" I then opened a small bloody red box containing a silver ring with a yellow diamond on top. I gulped and said "I-I know it's too early you can say no if you want to..."
"Are you kidding me of course I accept this proposal!" I then felt happiness inside me I almost forgot my fear of going to war."Really! Yahooo!" I exclaimed as I hugged her and raised her up.
She then kissed me making me blush. We then continued talking for sometime. Finally we kissed each other goodbye as we parted away.
TIME SKIP!
I then gulped for I was about to go."Ok, dear did you bring everything you need?" Mom asked,"Yes mom..." I said sadly."Hey don't be sad son. Look you even have a visitor." Mom said as she opened the door for Blades. "Oh, Blades..." I said shyly."This may be last time will talk so let's make the most of it." She said, "Well go on darlings while I takeout the cookies in the oven." Mom said before going to the kitchen.
"Will you promise that you will never replace and forget me?" I ask her hestitantly." Why would I do that?" she ask."I know you will never do that...but you ma-" Blades cut me off and gave me a necklace with a wooden key,"I promise that I won't." she said. I smiled at her and ask her jokingly,"Even if it takes 15 years?" she then hugged me and said "Even if it takes a 100 years." I then gave her a key chain containing a rifle and a knife." You sure know what I like..." she said happily. We looked at each other and were about to kiss when Mom got back from the kitchen with a jar full of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies," Did I miss something?" "Oh! No Mom we were just talking,hehehe." I said awkwardly. Mom nodded and gave me and Blades a cookie, "Don't eat too much your allergy might react." Blades giggled as we munched the cookies.
30 minutes later.
It was time for me to leave I gulped as I tightly clutched on my Mom's arm and looked at Blades nervously. I then approached her slowly and said, "I guess this might be good bye..." Blades looked at me in tears suddenly she hugged me tightly "Do you really have to go?" "Yes..." I replied sadly. "Yes she must Blades,dear. His father didn't train him for nothing." My Mom said equally sad. Blades then pushed me away and looked away. "Good bye..." I said as I hugged my Mom since Blades didn't look at me and was crying.
A few minutes later.
The plane was about to take off. I was about to board it when I heard a shout. I look back to see Blades waving at me with the key chain at her hand." Flippy! I will wait for your return! Everyday until the day the day you set foot here again! I love you!" She shouted at me I looked at her and also waved the necklace she gave me and shouted," I love you too! I will never forget you!" and I pointed at my dog tag with three tags attached.One for Mom, dad, and her.Then I rushed inside crying. Then the plane took off. "I promise to return..." I mumbled to myself.
