The entire scene of Karwa-chauth performed downstairs were scene by Karn, who was clenching his fists seeing Anaahat and Arjun together.

What boiled his blood even more was her casting off any evil eye off of Arjun with so much affection.

But suddenly his anger was replaced by shock and disbelief when he saw not his earrings in her ears, but some other pair.  The conversation they had before her Swayamvar ringed in his ears.

"These earings really are embodiment of our love. I can see it. But will you really wear them for your entire life ?" Karn asked.

"I will." Anaahat said.

"Well then if that's the case, the day you remove these will be the day I come to know you don't love me anymore." Karn said.

'No... This cannot be.... I am mistaken ! It's too dark and that's why I am not able to see properly.... Otherwise no earrings can be more beautiful than the ones given by me..." Karn thought.

It was around midnight both Arjun and Anaahat together in her room, sitting in the balcony as he cut some fruits for her to eat since she has fasted for a long day.

"It would've been tough for you to observe such severe vrat...." Arjun said.

"Kind of." Anaahat said eating a slice of apple.

"Then why did you do it ?" Arjun asked cutting another fruit.

"For you." Anaahat said.

At that he looked at her, wondering what he heard was right or was it his imagination. Her eyes were a little numb, but still a smile adorned her lips.

"I am not able to understand." Arjun asked standing up.

"What ?" Anaahat asked as she too stood up.

"What is there in your eyes ? I have never seen it before...... Or maybe you have never looked at me like this...." Arjun said taking a step towards her.

"Why don't you recognise ? This is the same look that remains in your eyes when you look at me." Anaahat said also taking a step towards him.

Arjun gazed deep into her eyes, and that's when he realised what she meant. He grabbed her waist and pulled her closer.

"Is it true ? Or is this a dream ?" Arjun muttered seeing the love in his eyes.

At that Anaahat kept her hand behind his head and pulled him in for a kiss. And that's when all the queries of Arjun were cleared, in that short moment of divine affection.

They pulled their lips and Arjun looked at her, as happy tears brimmed his eyes.

"It is as real as your love for me, Arya." Anaahat smiled.

Hearing her calling him 'Arya' Arjun felt as if he has conquered everything in life. He smiled pulling her in a warm embrace.

Happy tears fell from both their eyes that night. Finally true love blossomed between them, just as flowers in spring.
