The Pandavas, Kunti and Anaahat have foresaken their royal clothes and took on the sagely attire given by Vidur. But no matter how much she tried, Anaahat couldn't remove the earrings.

She had come to know that Karn had stooped so low as to conspire to kill an entire family through treachery, just because his rivalry to Arjun and friendship to Duryodhan.

Anaahat wanted to remove the earrings which were given by him but even the thoughts made her hands shivered remembering the beautiful moments she had spent with him.

'He is not the same anymore.... I have full rights to remove these earrings but why do I fail ?' Anaahat wondered.

Karn had definitely but Anaahat was still the same innocent girl who had loved him unconditionally, and that was the reason she failed.

"Anaahat ?" Arjun called.

She looked at him as he came towards her with several fruits in his hands.

"Come." He said.

"I'm not hungry." Anaahat said.

"No one is.... But sometimes you have to eat for the sake of heath." Arjun said sitting beside her.

Arjun offered her some wild berries, she looked at him and gave a small smile taking one.

"Sweet." Anaahat said eating it.

"Picked by me ofcourse." Arjun smiled.

"You seem to have a lot of experience in picking up berries it seems." Anaahat said.

"I do. For the first 14 years of my life I have lived in forest." Arjun said.

"It must have been hard." Anaahat said.

"Hmm. But it was better than the life in Hastinapur." Arjun said.

"Why so ?" She asked.

"The palace life is much more complex and corrupt that the simple and innocent life of the forest. You will soon come to know." He said.

Anaahat gave him a small smile, she thought how much both Karn and Arjun were different than each other, such contrastingly different characters.

For a moment she felt that her marrying Arjun was a better option, and staying with him would be the best decision of her life. But then her mind clashed with her heart, as memories Karn flooded her mind.

"What happened ?" Arjun asked.

"Even Angraj was involved in the conspiracy." Anaahat said.

"There isn't a single plan on Duryodhan where Angraj isn't involved. But I am sure he didn't mean to kill you also." Arjun said.

"He tried to warn me, but didn't do much. But I never imagine he who boasts about his valor all the time will stoop so low. What was I even expecting of someone who has so much envy for others ?" Anaahat said.

Arjun stayed silent, not knowing what to say exactly. Anaahat looked at him and gave him a smile.

"I was blinded by love, mad love. But now I see things much clearly. Yet I don't know whether I can stop loving him or not, he is too much engraved in my heart." Anaahat said.
