Chapter 21- memories

A/N: here's for the EreMin shippers •v•

*Eren's POV*

~~~
This is it, Eren
This is the last day with your best friend, Armin Arlert.
You have to do your best
This isn't Jean, so don't get all jerky and drunk on him.
But he isn't Marco either, so don't be too nice.
Wait why do I feel so unprepared for this?Is it because...his height's almost as short as Levi's and I need to respect him for his height?
Or is it because he's the younger than any of us? Or...is it because I see him more different than anyone else...?
It's not that Jean and Marco aren't special. It's just...Armin's been my best friend ever since I was a kid. He's a smart ass I've known forever.
Jean's pretty cool, Marco's really sweet, but Armin's smart and alert...just like his family name.
I'm going to south Italy, and he's going to Osaka, Japan. Those countries are...slightly far from each other.
And even if it isn't so far, meeting in person would cause big trouble...to be specific... arrest.
But I'm really gonna miss Armin...
DING DONG!
I walked to the door, about to open it. Before twisting the door knob, I took a deep breath in total desperation.
I opened the door, and saw Armin smiling brightly at me,
"Hi, Eren! You ready to go?"
I grinned back, "Yeah. But where are we going?"
"Eh, I'll show you on the way. Just don't ask."
He took my hand, taking me somewhere in not aware of.
~~a few minutes later~~
"Armin? Where are we? Can I open my eyes now?"
"Wait...just a few seconds...and...done."
He removed his gentle hand from my eyes. My eyes began to widen as I saw...a beautiful, quiet, and peaceful garden.
The atmosphere was calm, the air was fresh. I felt like Armin just brought me to heaven.
My hair gently flew through my face as the blue and green butterflies peacefully fly past us. Rabbits were hopping and kittens were running playfully.
Armin smiled brightly, telling me to sit down at the picnic blanket he set up by the small hill.
I rested my head on the blanket as Armin laughed softly, blowing a lily on my nose. I giggled softly and blew the lily away, making it fly with the air.
I sighed proudly while placing my arms on my chest, "wow, Armin. You really know how to plan these stuff."
He smile grew to my compliment, "I was just thinking it would calm you, you know for your flight tomorrow."
"Thanks..." I muttered, looking down desperately.
His smile faded when mine did, so he asked, "Is everything okay?"
I groaned sadly, "yeah...it's our last day together and...I'm gonna miss you."
"I'm gonna miss you too." He held my leg, beginning to stroke it gently, "but thinking about it won't make it any better."
I chuckled, "Hey, you're Armin Arlert. Not Marco Bott."
He laughed softly, patting my thigh, "I know. But wisdom's in knowledge as well." He knelt to the picnic basket and grabbed some burritos and threw one to me, I immediately caught it, taking a small bite.
As I ate the burrito, I said to him as I munched like an animal,
"Did you make this stuff?" I chewed a little more, "it's amazing."
He nodded as he took a nibble at his burrito, "it's my 2nd time. I didn't expect it to be good, but...since you like it...I guess it's pretty fine."
"Fine? It's the best thing I've ever had in the world!" I shrieked, waving my arms up childishly as the leaves flew past my nose.
~~after lunch~~
"Roll the dice."
"How many've I got?"
"You got...six."
"Okay. One...two...three...four...five...six. Aww...jail! Whyyy!?!"
I yelled as the sky as I moved my shoe figure to the jail cell.
Armin giggled as he shook his head, "Monopoly's only a game, Eren."
"That's not why I'm sad." I pouted. Armin cooed an "aww." As he patted my back, comforting me.
"It's okay. Just remember those memories and put them to good use, okay?"
I sighed, "okay."
