Hanging Out
Laurance and I brought the snacks out to the living room where I sat next to Aphmau and Laurance sat on the other side of me. We were going to have the longest video game tournament in history of video game tournaments. Then Aphmau and I were going to go shopping for prom, which is on Friday. Only two days away. For some reason I wasn't too worried about what my appearance would be, but the rest of my family was coming home tomorrow so I knew at least they were going to make a huge fuss over it.
"Ready to get creamed my friends!?" I laughed maniacally as I put in Zane's favorite game.
"In your dreams!" Aaron replied.
"Oh, I'm like an expert at this game since this is like all Zane wants to do!" I chuckled evily. Aphmau and Laurance laughed before I pressed play and the game began.
I ran behind coverage quickly as a large boulder was thrown, crushing everyone, but Laurance. I started him for a minute, since the others were out. "What can I say? I like this game," he smirked.
"Oh, it's on!" I yelled, furiously working the controls, dodging the boulders, while shooting arrows at Laurance, hoping one would hit him.
"OH NO OH NO OH NO!" He yelled as I shot his leg, crippling him as a boulder fell on him.
"Can I just ask... what kind of game is this?" Aphmau looked mortified.
"I really don't know what the creator was thinking, they were probably drunk." I replied. Aaron and Laurance laughed at that. As soon as the laughter died down the front door swung open and Vylad ran through the door.
"WE'RE HOME!" He threw his bag on the floor as I jumped up to crush him in a hug. We embraced each other as Garroth and Zane walked through the door.
"You nerds are home early!" I exclaimed, pulling away from Vylad.
"Yeah, dad got us kicked out of the hotel so we had to come home." Zane grumbled, walking upstairs.
"Well we're back and... they're here." Garroth mumbled tooling towards my friend and boyfriend. "Aphmau, Laurance."
"You know you could say hello to my other friend," I hissed.
"Hi Aaron!" Vylad waved before skipping upstairs to his room. Mom burst through the door and basically attacked me.
"I CAN'T BELIEVE I GET TO TAKE YOU DRESS SHOPPING!"
"Gah! Mom!" I whined. My friends giggled and snickered as she set me down.
"Alright boys, why don't you both head home so I can take you dates shopping?" She winked. I noticed the Crimson on both of their faces as the left.
"Bye Mrs. Ro'Meave," they both mumbled, walking out the door. Mom had gotten herself a tan and was wearing her signature dark green shirt to complement her skin tone.
"Are you two little chica's ready to go dress shopping?" She squealed. Aphmau smiled as she stood up.
"Defiantly!"
"Great! Let's go to the mall~!"
Once we got to the mall she dragged us to a store that was literally for prom dresses. She was running around, suggesting the first one she saw, then the next. So Aphmau and I decided to browse a bit before my mom decided which dress we would wear on her own.
After a few minutes Aphmau approached me, holding a medium length dress, made of purple fabrics with a series of purple flower designs around her waist. The skirt of the dress was loose and playful, while the top had a high cut front, but a low cut back. "What do you think?"
I took the dress and held it up to here, considering it. "I won't know for sure until I see you in the dress."
"Okay!" She ran off to a dressing room as I continued to browse myself. Eventually, I found one that was a smooth (F/C) fabric, almost like silk, but slightly rougher. It had a medium length skirt that gradually got longer in the back. The skirt was a bit my modern fashion with a simple grey belt at the waist. The top had a curved neckline going as low as my collarbone and had a tank top feel to the straps, but a low cut back, like the one Aphmau found.
As I held it up to me Aphmau ran back twirling like the little, adorable dork she is. The skirt spun in a manner that gave her a flirty looking side, but a sweet feel of emotions. When she stopped spinning she grinned, looking a bit flustered. "So?"
The dress seemed to be made for her and it simply showed off every curve she had, but in a soft, not so slutty way. Her cheeks were already red from smiling. "I think you look adorable! How does it feel?"
"Pretty good to be honest." She grinned from spear to ear.
"Then the must be the one!"
"Oh what one do you got here?" She snatched it from my hand and held it up to me, grinning. "I think you should try it on."
"I figured you'd say that." I chuckled, walking to the changing rooms I slipped on the dress and examined myself in the mirror with my converse I almost looked like I was going on a fancy date, I was going to have to find some different shoes to go with it. Aside from the shoes the dress fit perfectly and look pretty good on my account, nothing too revealing that it made me uncomfortable, but not so covering that it was suffocating me.
As soon as I walked out of the room I was attacked with the flash of a camera. "Mom! Stop!"
"But you just looks so pretty! Oh! My baby girl is growing up!"
"Mom! Seriously!" I groaned, covering my eyes with my arm, trying to shield myself from the flashing light.
"Okay... that's enough pictures for now. Let's get your dresses paid for and go grab a frappe!"
"Okay!"
