Skylor's POV (haha bet you didn't see that coming! Jk)~ 

"Hey babe? Nya and the kids are coming over for dinner, do you mind making more food?" Kai questions walking into the kitchen.

"Yeah of course! What's up? Is everything alright?" I grew worried. 

"Everything is fine." He walks over to me, placing his hands on my hips. "She didn't go shopping so she doesn't have any food."

"Oh no! Does she need help? Does she need any money?" I step out of Kai's grasp, wrapping my hands around my stomach.

"Skylor I know your worried about her, I am too, but you and I both know if she needed help, she would tell us."

"Yeah I know." I say coldly, turning around and poured another box of noodles into the pot. Hearing Kai's footsteps get further and further away, I turned around to see him gone. I crease my eyebrows and continued cooking.

Me and Kai are often worried for Nya and her kids. Nya never really talks about Cole and her feelings. She never really talks about herself at all anymore, she would usually change the subject to her kids or me and Kai. And that's what worries me the most. Her bottling all her feelings. 

We suggested her to see a therapist because she won't talk to us, but she said no. She said "If anyone needs to see a therapist, it's Samuel". I mean she's not wrong, Sam does have bad anxiety and barely talks, but sometimes she needs to think about herself rather than others. Yes it's a little selfish, but not under these circumstances, not when it comes to mental health and stuff.

After I finished making dinner, I sat on the couch with Kai, waiting for the Nya to get here. Kai looked at me before slowly leaning in, placing his soft lifts upon mine. I wrapped my arms around Kai's neck and kissed back just as hard before pulling away.

"Are we really doing this right now? Before your sister arrives?" I smirk.

"Why not, Nya won't be here for at least another 15-20 minutes." Kai stated before reconnecting our lips. I melted into the kiss. I slowly crawled on his lap, swinging my legs around his torso bringing us closer and closer before there was loud knocking on the door. This time he pulled away and rolled his eyes.

"But we were just about to get to the fun part" He whines. I giggle.

"You knew Nya was coming over" I chuckled, getting off his lap and walked over to the door. I opened it to see two mini humans attacking me legs.

"Hi au'ti Skye" They both said in sync. 

"Hey guys, how are you?" I question, walking- waddling into the house with Nya and the kids still wrapped around my leg.

"W-we good" Alex smiles.

"It's 'we're' not we" Sam corrects Alex, making her frown.

"Hey it's okay, are you guys hungry? I made spaghetti!" I watch as their eyes light up.

"Weally!?" The de-tach from both of my legs and run to the kitchen.

"Stop running! This is not our house, we can't just run around carelessly. There's people below us who can hear our every step." Nya yells at the children who quickly apologize. 

See me and Kai live in a different apartment complex and live on the 2nd floor, which means we have people living underneath us. Whereas for Nya, She lives on the first floor, so the children don't have to worry what they do.

I look at Nya before giving her a hug.

"Hey sis, how are you?" I ask calmly.

"I could be better." She gives me a weak smile. 

Today we were all in court trying to settle child custody for Nya and Cole. The whole thing went down the dump. 

Me and Kai were sitting on a long wooden bench provided in the court room, giving Nya some sort of comfort being here while all this goes down. We watched the very moment the Jury made it official that Cole could see the kids. As the case was done, everyone and thing went silent. The only noise visible was the chair squeaking as it slid across the dirty hard wood flooring and Nya gathering her things and kids before storming out of the Court room. Me and Kai just sat there, appalled that the Jury just let an abusive man see his kids. 

We looked at each other before leaving the building, possibly trying to talk to Nya before she left. 

When we got outside, her car was already gone.

I couldn't imagine what Nya was going through, so that's why when me and Kai got home we called her. 

"But how are you?" She asks. 

Here she goes again, changing the subject from her to something else.

"I've been good." I smile. "Let's go eat, the kids are probably waiting for us." I say as we head towards the kitchen. We walk in, gets the kids their plates and sit down at the table before noticing that Nya isn't eating.

"Nya? What's wrong?" Kai asks while creasing his eyebrows.

"O-oh, nothing I'm not hungry" Nya states looking down at her plate.

"But Mommy, you haven't eaten in a few days. How are you not hungry?" Sam says innocently. Mine and Kai's eye's grew wide. We looked at each other before back at Nya in more concern.

"You haven't eaten in how many day's?" Kai's voice raises a little too high. 

"It's only been 2 day's, I haven't had the apatite lately." She states sniffling.

"Kids, stay here for a moment and continue eating, auntie Skye and Uncle Kai are gonna go somewhere private to talk to your mommy, okay?" I ask for their approval. They both nodded. 

Me and Kai got up from the dinner table and gently led Nya to our bedroom.

"Nya, I know things have been stressful lately but you can't take these things out on yourself!" I try to reason.

"I know, but I can't help but think that it is my fault." She sits at the edge of our bed. "The anxiety I had leading up to today has been horrible. It had gotten so bad to where I couldn't hold anything down."

"This is why you need to see a therapist! You don't talk to us, you don't talk to anyone else that I know of! You can't keep all this to yourself, It's just not healthy." Kai sits besides Nya while resting his hand on her left shoulder. She slowly leaned into his side.

"I'm sorry" Her voice cracked.

"And I'm sorry for yelling and getting mad at you, but please, if anything occurs or you don't feel okay, come to me or Skye. We wanna help you." I nod, agreeing with Kai's statement.

"Nya I hate seeing you like this and I feel absolutely horrible that I never noticed you depressed over the years, but I see it now and I'm here for you, okay?" I stand in front of them. She sniffs.

"O-okay"

"Now can you at least try to eat something? It can be anything! Maybe something small like cereal, granola bar, toast, a sandwich, anything and we'll give it to you." Kai smiles slightly.

"I-I'll have a small portion of spaghetti" She mumbled. 

"Thank you" I say.

We gave Nya a small bowl(smaller than her kids), like she requested and she surprisingly ate it all in which I'm very happy about. Soon after we all finished dinner, we all relaxed and cuddled on the couch, watching tv before Nya and the kids had to leave as it was getting pretty late. 

Me and Kai did some cleaning up in the kitchen. Kai was doing the dished as I was cleaning the the counters and taking out the trash. I glanced at Kai to see his eye's lowered and glossy. I slowly walked over to him and placed my chin on his shoulder while wrapping my arms around his torso.

"You okay?" I whispered softly into his ear. He sighed.

"I feel like I failed." He paused. "Like I failed as a brother, as a bestfriend" He stated, putting the the last dish into the strainer before turning around facing me. Still having my arms wrapped around him, he placed his hands on my waist. 

"Hey, you didn't fail anyone or anything." I reassure him, gently scratching his back. "This is no ones fault but Cole's."

"Yeah, but it had been going on for so many years and I hadn't noticed anything!" His grip on my hips tightened.

"Hon, no one knew what was happening except Nya and Cole. Nya didn't know what to do with Cole threatening her all the time. I know I would be scared." I stated. Kai tilted his head down more towards me, locking eyes with me. We both got lost in the trance of both our pupils.

"Skylor, have I ever told you how much I love you" He questioned, still locking eyes with me.

"About a million times, yes." I giggle. Kai lifted one of his hands and placed it on my cheek before kissing me gently.

"I don't know what I would do without you"

"And I don't know what I would do without you"

Hopefully this kind of makes up for the short last chapter!

Btw, as we can see, Kai and Skylor are very close with each other and tell each other everything. Lol it's like 2 peas in a pod, but I find it cute that they are high school sweethearts!

Anyways, we can also see that Nya has a lot of problems and never tells anyone which is very unhealthy... hopefully she get's the help she needs!
