Moving forward, our bonus chapter is about Transitional Words. What ARE transitional words then?

✐  Transitional Words ✐

transitional : /adjective/ relating to or characteristic of a process or period of transition.

In simpler words, you can say that to be transitional means to be an intermediate. That means a transitional word is a word that connects words or even phrases! They are awfully formal, and enhances your writing a great deal! I would encourage you to use these words more often so that they come naturally.

Transitional words are just more formal conjunctions, as you will see from the pictures I have attached below. They are commonly used as synonyms for and, but, because etc. They are also divided into many subcategories depending on the sentence, situation, context and tone. For example :
