When writing a gay erotic story must have to show the emotions on how your characters feel when they're in a tough situation or life you portrayed them in.

Plus these characters you're describing must have a good or a bad backstory too.

Just don't go overboard describing your characters as weak, depressed or which is very popular in the writing community suicidal and/or abusive. Because it's kinda hard to feel sympathy for them if you don't have a backstory about them.

Especially if you're writing a dark gay erotic story that involves an old high school bully, who's now CEO of a company, is obsessed with their male victim, who had a complete makeover, apply for that said company. Just saying.
