Storylines

I touched on this in my Following Scripts chapter and this is just going to go into more depth about the topic.

First, have an outline. Have one. Really simple. Now, you don't need every chapter meticulously planned out, but have an outline for each chapter made. Here are some of the outlines I've made

^Bloodlines

^Darkness

^Supernatural Case

^Mutant and Proud

Notice how I've blurred out chapters past the ones I've posted for Mutant and Proud, because ain't no spoilers being posted today.

Anyways, second, don't wing it completely. Way too many times have I seen a story end because the author didn't know how to continue. Making an outline is a really easy way to prevent this.

Third, you can change your story. You can make an outline and add or take away chapters. That's perfectly fine and it's normal to do that while writing.

Fourth, have a story idea in general for goodness sakes. You need a story idea before an outline. If you're stuck look up writing prompts or talk to friends. I wrote my Shadows series because of a prompt I found on Pinterest. They spark creativity.

All in all, storylines are really important to any series, and it's always a smart idea to have one.

Hope you enjoyed! Feel free to ask any questions or suggest something. Love you all! Byeee!
