Overpowered OCs
Requested by: hon3yrogers and AnnabethChase303
This is such an issue it's sort of ridiculous.
I know there are overpowered characters in canon literature, and it bothers me there too, because if you have a character that is super overpowered, there's no conflicts that they can logically face and grow from.
If a character has ten of the most powerful superpowers, or if they never struggle with anything and do everything perfect the first time, it's an issue. It may seem cool but in the end it makes them boring, and it can make a boring story as well.
People grow from struggle and conflict. Pick one superpower for your character, pick one weapon they use well, or a few school subjects they're good at. Set limitations, struggles, weaknesses. Allow them to learn how to work around them, and let them grow.
A character who can beat any villain in thirty seconds by snapping their fingers is a boring character, unless they're facing other, larger struggles.
Balance out your character, regulate their power and abilities. Because even fictional worlds need to be somewhat realistic. No one person can take on the world on their own with no issues. If they can, you don't have a realistic story in multiple aspects.
Requests are open, so is asking questions!
