The dragon seems to relax and nuzzles Hiccup, finding some wood and making a fire for them to stay warm. She lays down and Gobber lets her hold Hiccup, he can always tell when a dragon is meant to be a merger candidate, it is why the Nightfury is so calm so quickly.

Hiccup wakes up a little in the morning and nuzzles the dark scales of the Nightfury. She smiles and purrs, he looks up and is very shocked. Gobber chuckles softly. Hiccup sits up and moves away a little. He stares at the dragon in surprise.

Hiccup hesitantly hugs the dragon, still shocked that he is soul bound to a Nightfury.

Gobber is happy with Hiccup finding his dragon, knowing he can do the ritual without help. He wants Hiccup to be happy, and the dragon is happy to stay with them.

The dragons laughs and hugs Hiccup close, Gobber chuckles softly and rubs their heads.
