Her white fur cape fluttered with the brewing tempest, its edges caressed by the impatient gusts foreshadowing the onset of a storm. Leaning over the ship's edge, her gaze swept over the landscape, settling on the intimidating form of the giant volcano that monopolized the view. Its obsidian exterior appeared fractured, a physical testament to the wrath it once spewed.
Down below, people bustled around, engrossed in their mundane tasks amidst the precarious setting, their obedient dragons amplifying their efficiency. It was strangely awe-inspiring, a testament to a unique kinship between humans and mythical beasts.
Lifting her gaze to the sky, she spotted it. The Night Fury, the coveted emperor of the sky, soaring above the shoreline with an agility matching the potent winds. Upon its back, rode the boy. The one the tales revered as the Dragon Whisperer. She squinted, her focus intent on the rider.
There he was, the boy who held an ambiguous position within the narratives told far and wide. Labelled a killer by some, and a savior by others, his story was as complex and layered as the mystic bond between him and his dragon.
