(Y/N)'s P.O.V

"... Leaving. We're leaving," Hiccup sighs as we enter the clearing, me nodding in agreement as I adjust my satchel.

"Yep. Come on, (D/N)!" I call softly, setting down my bag as I look through the supplies.

"Let's pack up!" Hiccup looks around, setting down his basket. "Looks like the four of us are taking a little vacation. Forever."

He sets his basket down and rummages through it as I sigh softly, looking through my own bag.

"Oh, man." Hiccup sighs to himself, rising.

I jump as he yelps before I spin around, gasping at the sight of Astrid sharpening her axe with a rock as she sits on a boulder.

"What the...?!" Hiccup stammers, stumbling.

"What are you doing here?!" I frantically ask, looking around with wide eyes.

"I want to know what's going on between you two," she replies in an eerily calm tone, tossing her rock as she hops off the boulder.

"Duh, uh... B--Between us... As in...?" Hiccup stammers, his eyes wide as he looks around quickly for any signs of our dragons.

"No one just gets as good as you two did," Astrid replies, glaring between us as we back away. "Especially you," she directs at Hiccup, holding her axe up as she continues moving closer to us.

"Hey, t--that's a little harsh--" I start, frowning.

"Start talking!" She interrupts me, glaring sharply between us. "Are you training with someone?"

"I-I-I, uh, training?" Hiccup repeats as he clears his throat, shifting backwards. "I-I don't--"

"It better not involve this," Astrid growls, yanking on my flight clothes as I wince.

"Listen, Astrid, you just... we can't... I don't..." I trail off, nervously looking at Hiccup.

Hiccup intervenes and steps forward, putting himself between me and Astrid as he speaks calmly. "I know this looks really bad, but you see..."

My eyes widen as a large crackle was heard, birds flying off as Astrid roughly shoves Hiccup from her path with narrowed eyes. He falls on the ground with a grunt and a yelp, making me lightly gasp as I kneel to help him, wincing as Astrid steps on him and walks past him.

I felt a surge of panic as she begins to look around the clearing slowly, obviously suspicious.

"Uh... You're right!" I yell quickly to distract her, making her jump and look back at us with a raised brow. "You're right. You see... We've been... Um... Uh..."

"It's okay," Hiccup plays along, quickly rising and rushing in front of Astrid as she looks around. "W--We are through with the lies, (Y/N)!"

We are?!

"You see, we've been making... outfits!" He suddenly states with a grin, making me nod in agreement as I rush in front of Astrid to block her path.

She seems to ignore me, her eyes narrowed as she looks around the clearing.

"You totally got us! I'm sorry for lying, but making outfits is... just... so much fun!" I nervously grin, blocking her view as she scowls with irritation.

"It's time everyone knew," Hiccup solemnly sighs, grabbing Astrid's hand and setting it on his chest. "Drag us back, here we go."

He blocks her view as her eye twitches in annoyance. She grabs his hand and twists it, making me wince as a loud cracking could be heard as he collapsed with a pained groan. Astrid drops her axe besides her as she rolls her shoulders, her expression cold.

"Ow! Why would you do that?!" Hiccup groans in pain, trying to stand.

I flinch as she kicks him back down, "That's for the lies." She turns to me with anger, raising her fist as I nervously chuckle.

"Astrid, we can just talk about this, you know!" I stammer lightly with my hands held up defensively, my eyes wide.

"And this... is for everything else."

Astrid grabs my collar, rearing her fist back. I block my face with my hands while squeezing my eyes shut, bracing for impact.

A loud roar makes my eyes fly open, my heart sinking as I look back and see (D/N) appearing with a dangerous look on his face. His lip was curled up as he hisses lowly, crouched low to the ground as his wings expand and his scales slowly spike.

Toothless jumps off a rock next to him, nudging him in question, but (D/N)'s glare never left Astrid. Toothless sniffs the air, his ears perking up as he looks over and spots Astrid. He growls loudly, his eyes turning to slits as his body language also becomes defensive at the sight of Hiccup in pain on the ground.

"Oh, man." Hiccup groans quietly, recognizing Toothless' growl.

Astrid's face goes pale at the sight of the two dragons, her eyes wide with horror and mouth dropped.

"Get down!" Astrid gasps, throwing me behind her quickly.

I yelp at the sudden action, landing on top of Hiccup as he grunts from the force. Toothless and (D/N) let out deafening roars, the loud sound echoing throughout the clearing as they charge towards us.

"Run, run!" Astrid yells at us, swiftly grabbing her axe and swinging it back with a scowl.

My eyes widen and I gasp, scrambling to my feet and tackling her out of the way just as (D/N) pounces at her. (D/N) snarls as he lands and skids to a stop, facing us quickly with a hiss as he watches Astrid.

"No! No," Hiccup yells quickly as he rushes forward, blocking Toothless and (D/N) from us as I throw Astrid's axe away from her reach.

"It's okay!" I try to calm, making (D/N) peek over Hiccup as he pants heavily, his wings opened and his scales spiked. "She's our... uh... friend...?"

(D/N)'s eyes shift from Astrid to me, his body language slowly relaxing as he watches me. He snorts, rumbling at Toothless lowly without taking his eyes off me. Toothless lowers from his defensive position, his wings still slightly opened as he glares dangerously at Astrid.

Astrid gasps as she rises, panting heavily and backing away. (D/N) moves forward past Hiccup while lowering his head and gently nudges my arm with a soft purr, my hand coming up and resting against the top of his head as he remains close to me. Toothless continues to lowly growl at Astrid, making Hiccup gently push back on him as Toothless nuzzles against Hiccup's side.

"You-- You just scared them," Hiccup tries explaining, keeping a hand on Toothless as she looks between us with wide, terrified eyes.

"I scared them?!" Astrid demands almost hysterically before freezing with realization, blinking rapidly as she looks between (D/N) and Toothless. "Who... is them?"

"This... This is (D/N)," I introduce with a nervous grin, watching as he continues to glare at Astrid with a small snarl.

(D/N) huffs at her as his ears flatten, nuzzling his nose against my cheek before rising to his full height, towering behind me and glaring down at her as she stares back with a pale complexion.

"Astrid, Toothless and (D/N)," Hiccup introduces and gestures to the dragons, then to Astrid. "Toothless and (D/N), Astrid."

(D/N)'s eyes become slits as he hisses, Toothless growling along with him.

Astrid stares between the two mighty beasts before she shakes her head, glancing at me with shock before turning and running away.

"Oh... no..." I groan, rubbing my head with my hands and shaking my head rapidly.

"Du-du-duh, we're dead." Hiccup states in a monotone, frowning and sighing.

(D/N) snorts with a nod as Astrid runs off, laying down and curling into a ball while Toothless waddles away.

"Hey! (D/N), get up!" I urge him quickly with a huff, trying to force him up as he pretends to be asleep while rumbling in protest.

"Woah, woah, woah! Where do you think you're going?" Hiccup demands, rushing after Toothless.

Third Person P.O.V

Astrid pants heavily as she races through the woods, her heart hammering madly in her chest.

She looks back with wide eyes before facing forward, jumping on a log. She goes to leap off, only to be stopped by something grabbing her arm.

Astrid screams, looking down as the ground gets further and further.

"Oh, great Odin's ghost! This is..." She screams, clinging onto (D/N)'s claw wrapped around her arm.

Hiccup sighs, shaking his head as (Y/N) looks over at him with an odd face.

Toothless glares at the screaming girl, his nose wrinkled in annoyance. (D/N) huffs, his face remaining bored as he drops her on the branch of a tree.

He lands on the very top, causing the tree to bend as Astrid dangles. Hiccup and Toothless land on the tree besides them, watching.

"(Y/N)! Get. Me. Down from here!" Astrid commands, struggling to hold onto the branch.

"You have to give us a chance to explain!" Hiccup yells, making her scoff and roll her eyes.

"Please, just listen to us!" (Y/N) agrees, looking down at her.

"I am not listening to anything you guys have to say!" Astrid yells back, scooting on the branch.

"Then... We won't speak," Hiccup sighs, holding his hands up in defense as Astrid glares over at him. "Just let us show you."

Astrid looks away, glancing up at (Y/N) and at (D/N).

"Please, Astrid," (Y/N) pleads, holding out her hand.

Astrid grunts, sighing heavily as she starts pulling herself up. Her hand  nearly slips from the branch, making her instinctively grabbing (Y/N)'s hand.

(D/N) growls in warning, causing Astrid to quickly let go with a light huff as she completely climbs onto the branch. She hesitates as she grabs onto the saddle, balancing as she hoists herself onto (D/N).

(Y/N) exhales softly, her stomach twisted in knots.

"Now get me down," Astrid grumbles, looking at (D/N) with wide eyes.

"(D/N)..." (Y/N) starts, watching as his ear flickers. "Can you take us down? Gently?"

He snorts, opening his wings. Some small feathers fly off, making Astrid watch in awe and curiously look at his wings.

"See?" Hiccup calls with a grin as Toothless opens his own wings. "Nothing to be afraid of."

Toothless glances over at (D/N), making him look back with a small nod and narrowed eyes.

(D/N) takes off, making (Y/N) gasp and Astrid scream. Hiccup watches with wide eyes before yelping as Toothless quickly follows after (D/N).

"(D/N)!!" (Y/N) yells as Astrid frantically holds onto her while screaming. "Stop!"

"What is wrong with you two?!" Hiccup shouts as Toothless joins their side, panting heavily. "Bad dragons!"

"(D/N), we can play later," (Y/N) harshly whispers, nervously looking back at Astrid as he grumbles. "Be nice!" She scolds, scoffing in disbelief as he seems to mock her wordlessly.

Hiccup nervously laughs as he rubs his neck. "They're... They're not usually like this."

He pauses and holds on as (D/N) suddenly begins to dive, knowing Toothless would follow.

"Oh, no."

Astrid screams once more, watching the ocean get closer with wide eyes. (Y/N) tightly grips (D/N)'s saddle, gasping as they burst from the water and yelping as he starts to buck lightly.

"(D/N)! What's wrong with you!" She squeals as he continues to swerve and tilt. "We need her to like us!"

(D/N) shoots upwards, Hiccup grunting as Toothless follows like a bullet.

"And now we're spinning," he groans as Astrid yelps, the two dragons spinning around each other.

"I'm going to be sick," (Y/N) sighs, her head spinning.

"Thank you for nothing, you useless reptiles."

(D/N) begins diving as he spins out of control, Toothless spinning around him as they dive together.

"Okay! I am sorry!" Astrid whimpers, tightly hugging (Y/N). "I'm sorry."

(D/N)'s ear perks up as he looks back with a rumble. Toothless looks at (D/N) with a soft roar, making him nod.

"Just... Get me off of this thing and let's go home."

(D/N) fully opens his wings just before they hit the water, Toothless doing the same as Hiccup grunts.

Astrid gasps, flinching and hiding her face. (Y/N) sighs softly in relief, rubbing her aching head before gasping softly at the sight of the setting sun.

Toothless softly snorts, taking the lead and leading (D/N) upwards as Hiccup smiles slightly, looking back at (Y/N).

They fly in the clouds, making Astrid slowly open her eyes at the feeling. She looks around as she holds onto (Y/N)'s shoulders, her mouth opened in awe.

(D/N) smoothly flies up and around Toothless, flying by his side as he looks around with a soft chitter.

The clouds glowed a brilliant gold, small rays of sun peeking through and causing (D/N)'s wings to shimmer.

Astrid looks up, looking back at (Y/N) before carefully reaching up and feeling at the clouds.

(Y/N) lightly laughs, copying her. Both girls gasp as (D/N) suddenly sneezes, shaking his head. Astrid snickers before bursting out into laughter, causing (Y/N) to lightly laugh as (D/N)'s ear flickers at the sound.

Hiccup sighs softly, watching (Y/N) with a love-sick smile. Toothless rumbles, startling him out of his daze as he looks forward.

The two dragons move in sync, slowly spinning around each other as they trace along the clouds.

They twirl before flying upright, emerging from the clouds and into the now night sky.

Aurora lights brighten the night sky, moving along the stars as (Y/N) gasps softly with a smile.

She looks over at Hiccup, giggling when she catches him staring. He quickly looks away, slowly peeking back with a nervous grin as she smiles softly at him.

Astrid looks between the two before chuckling softly, shaking her head in amusement as she looks up at the night sky.

The two dragons fly together, soaring over the clouds and over Berk. Astrid looks down with a soft gasp, smiling widely at the sight of the village from above.

(D/N) looks back at her, purring softly before facing forward and playfully running into Toothless' side.

(Y/N) stumbles, leaning off towards Hiccup as he quickly reaches up and catches her, Astrid's hands outstretched to help before pausing.

Hiccup stares at (Y/N) as she looks up at him with wide eyes, a light blush on her face. He nervously smiles, helping her back onto (D/N) as she awkwardly laughs while rubbing her neck.

Toothless rumbles a laugh as (D/N) snorts in amusement, proud of himself as he takes the lead and leads Toothless over the village to not be seen.

"All right," Astrid chuckles, making (Y/N) look back as Hiccup looks over. "I admit it. This is pretty cool. It's... Amazing."

She pauses as she looks between the two dragons with a smile.

"They're amazing."

Astrid gently sets her hand on the side of (D/N)'s neck, and he chitters happily as (Y/N) sighs softly in relief with a wide grin.
