4.1: Optimus' Message, Visions of the Future, Dreams of Another (Hiccup)

Not finding the butterfly, he turned his attention back to the rock as he walked towards it to get a closer look.

"What is that symbol? I've never seen it before. I better draw it in my book for further studying." Hiccup said as he took out his book and charcoal pencil.

He begins to draw the mysterious symbol he had found and he was making sure to get every detail right and making sure he gets it right. After a few seconds he was finally able to draw it as he looked at it and the one that he drew before putting his book back into his vest.

"What could you possibly mean?" He muttered curiously.

Hiccup went closer to touch the symbol, he heard an echo of a voice.

"Hiccup… Hiccup…" The voice called out which made him look up in confusion and looked around.

"Huh? Is someone there? Must be the wind playing tricks on me." Hiccup questioned as he looked around only to become bitter about something.

'That or it’s either the twins or Snotlout trying to scare me. I wouldn’t be surprised if the three of them were working together for that.' He thought in annoyance as he looked around.

"Can you guys hear me?! Nice try, but you won’t scare me." He told them and hopefully it would make the three stop.

But no voices of the twins or Snotlout were heard which confused him. If it's not the twins and Snotlout then who's calling him?

"Hiccup... Hiccup…" The voice called him again which made him look around in confusion only to see that the symbol he saw seemed to be glowing dimly which confused him as he heard the voice again.

"Prime… Optimus Prime…" The voice said.

"Huh? What?" He uttered in confusion as he stared at the symbol only for it to start glowing a bright sapphire blue light which made him shield his eyes.

Once the light dimmed down, Hiccup slowly lowered his arm only to find himself somewhere else and not inside the cave. It was like he's in some sort of area but nothing but darkness but something seemed to whisk past him and he turned around to see a glowing blue colored orb as it floated in front of him. He breathed in awe as he slowly reached out to touch it but it flew away from him. Slowly but surely more of those glowing orbs started to appear in beautiful multi-colored lights as they seemed to be flying around.

"What in Odin’s beard?" The sight amazed him as he looked around in wonder.

'Where in Berk… am I? And am I still on Berk?' Hiccup thought in awe as one of the orbs floated closer to him and he could feel warmth and he could see that it was pulsing almost like a heartbeat.

"This doesn’t seem like something Snotlout would do." Hiccup muttered in awe as the orb which was the color of yellow floated away from him as he looked around.

"Hello? Is anyone here?" He called out and this time he got a reply.

"Hello, young one." The sudden voice made him jump in fright and surprise.

"Ahhh! W-Who’s there?" He called out as he looked around to see who the deep baritone voice belonged to but he didn't see any other than a lone floating orb that was the color of gold with a red and blue wisp.

"Whoever you are, y-you better not mess with me. I may not be strong b-but I’m still a Viking. And... And I don’t fear you." He said as he tried to maintain a brave face but his eyes gave away that he was feeling nervous.

A sudden gust of wind started to head Hiccup’s way as he instinctively covered his face from the assault of the wind before it slowly died down. The little glowing golden orb was in front of him before it suddenly flew up and a bright light shined from it and then something appeared in front of him.

His jaw dropped in shock as a huge red, blue and silver metal being with warm sapphire-cyan optics looked down at him with a friendly smile as he gazed at the giant metal being in shock and disbelief.

"By Thor… Who are you…? What are you...?" Hiccup questioned in shock and disbelief.

The more Hiccup stared at the metal being, the feeling of nervousness of the unknown made him step back.

"Stay back, don’t make me hurt you." Hiccup warned him as he went to get his dagger but didn't find it where it always was which made him alarmed and a bit scared of being defenseless.

But the being before him just smiled warmly and gently which somehow lowered and made his fears go away as the metal was kneeled down to look at each other.

"Don’t worry, Hiccup. I’m not here to harm you." He reassured him warmly and how he knew his name confused Hiccup a lot as he looked at him.

"How… How do you know who I am?" He asked in curiosity and confusion.

"I know many things, young one." The metal being simply said but it only confused him.

"Okay? Then answer me this, who are you? And what is this place?" Hiccup questioned him and Optimus was ready to answer his questions.

"My name is Optimus Prime. I’m an autonomous robotic organism from a planet far from yours called Cybertron." Optimus said as Hiccup looked at him in shock and surprise.

"Another planet? Like out of this world? Are you like… a god or something?" He asked as his curiosity was being intrigued by the being before him and Optimus just smiled at his question.

"In a way. This place you are right now, is known as the Realm of The Primes. I have summoned you here because there is something you must know." Optimus explained to him that it captured the teen's attention as he looked at him.

"And what could that be?" Hiccup asked and he noticed how Optimus' optics looked grim.

"A threat of unimaginable power shall soon come to your world. Unfortunately, I do not possess the power to stop it." He said grimly which made a cold fear grip Hiccup's core.

Something was coming to his home planet? How can it be stopped?

"But there is one way to do so." He said suddenly Hiccup paid attention to what he had to say. If there is a way to stop it, then he'll listen

"Which is?" He asked.

"A comrade of mine shall soon land in your world in a form that is familiar to you. If you form a bond with him, together you both shall be strong enough to stop this darkness and save your world." Optimus explained and Hiccup looked at him before looking down.

Sure he wants to help but how can he? Will he be enough to stop it even with the help of Optimus' comrade?

"Optimus… with all due respect, I’m not the right guy for this… I’m weak, scrawny, I’m not warrior material." Hiccup said with a doubtful expression but Optimus gave him a warm and gentle smile and a reassuring yet understanding look.

"I too wasn’t a warrior. Like you, I was once a different being. But I believe there is more to you than meets the eyes, Hiccup, for your true strength resides in your heart. And I believe with all my spark that you are the one who can stop whatever is coming." Optimus explained and that was enough to reassure the teen as he processed the information.

A danger coming to his home, a comrade of a being from a distant far away planet coming to his world and a bond only he and the second one can form with each other and that it should be able to stop it.

"If you say so, I’ll do my best." Hiccup said with a smile but there's just one problem.

"But when will it come? And how will I know how to meet this comrade of yours?" He questioned him.

"Come closer. I shall show you the answers you seek, but be warned. Once you have seen them, there is no turning back." Optimus warned him and Hiccup could sense concern in his voice.

Hiccup thought about it but if there is a chance for him to show what he’s made of, he has to seize it and he appreciated Optimus' concern which made him smile a little. Gobber was the only person in the village that appreciated him and was always concerned for him along with the elder. So it felt nice for another being to be concerned for him or what he was about to be shown.

"Do it." He said as he took a deep breath.

"Very well." Optimus said.

Optimus knelt down on one knee as he reached toward Hiccup’s forehead with his digit to show him what was to come and once his digit touched the teen's forehead, visions of the future started to appear.

In his visions, Hiccup sees a huge flame and hears a loud roar, the loudest roar any dragon has ever had. He sees a beach, his father, Stoick with a fleet of Berk boats with him. He sees himself above someone with a knife raised. He sees the same flames destroying everything. Then he sees sapphire optics and a dragon he never saw before. He can feel how his hand touched that dragon but what he saw next surprised him, he saw himself riding that strange dragon who let out a blue fire.

Once the vision stopped, Hiccup gasped in shock as he stumbled back but Optimus made sure to catch the teen with his servo as Hiccup regained his bearings as he put a hand on his head as he tried to process what he just saw.

"Whoa! What in the world was that? What does it mean?" Hiccup questioned the Prime in shock and confusion as Optimus looked down at him.

"You have seen what has come." Optimus told him as Hiccup looked at him with more questions than answers in his mind.

"Yes, but... I still have so many questions." He told him and Optimus wanted to answer all of them, he truly does but his time limit is up and he still has to leave a message to another before he goes back.

"Unfortunately, time has run out for me. it’s time for you to leave. Trust in the mark, it will guide you through what is coming." Optimus told him before he stood back up and he started to fade but Hiccup didn't want him to leave yet. He still has so many questions.

"Optimus! Wait! Come back!" Hiccup yelled but a bright light shined which caused him to cover his eyes.

When the light died down, he opened his eyes to see that he was back in the cave but the peculiar thing is that the symbols and glyphs on the rocks were gone which confused him.

Suddenly he feels a warm tingle on his left hand and he looked at it and that’s where he saw the same symbol he had found as it had itself imprinted on his hand. He tried to erase it on his tunic to see if it was just ink but it wasn't, which proves what he had experienced wasn't a dream. It suddenly began to glow as well as Optimus' voice was heard from it

"Trust your heart Hiccup. It’s your greatest strength." Optimus told him and Hiccup looked around for the Prime.

"Optimus!" Hiccup called out to him but the Prime didn't appear as he looked at the symbol to see that it stopped glowing.

"Don’t go... I need you… to help me..." Hiccup whispered sadly as he held his hand as he looked at the mark.

Looking up, he noticed that the sun was setting and he looked at the cave before leaving. He pushed the vines out of the way before looking back one last time at the cave before leaving back to the village unaware that the spiritual silhouette of Optimus appeared beside the stone as he watched the teen leave with a saddened expression. He felt sadness for leaving the young teen without answering any of his questions and how Hiccup pleaded for his help and to not leave him but he can't stay for too long. He has one more thing to do before going back to the Realm of the Primes.
