Welcome to my home

Stoick has witnessed a lot of things in his life. He has married a lot of couples on Berk, he has seen the damages the dragons left after each raid, he has felt anger, pride, sadness, and happiness.

But for the first time in his life, he was shocked as he witnessed his son marry the Princess of Corona, Rapunzel.

When both Hiccup and Rapunzel said 'yes', Stoick felt a lot of different emotions: anger towards his son, happiness to see his son alive and pride to know how much his son has achieved over the past 6 years.

It's true that he never stopped thinking about his son, even after he banished him, but he still needed answers from Hiccup.

Speaking of Hiccup, he and Rapunzel broke out of their kiss and stared at each other lovingly.

"Okay, everyone, please follow me to the backyard where the celebration will continue," King Frederic told the guests, before turning to the newly wedded couple. "If you want to talk to the others, do it somewhere private and I want Toothless or Serenity to be with you."

"Okay, dad." Rapunzel said as Hiccup nodded while facing the dragons maid.

"But I think Pascal and Toothless need a bath." Hiccup said as he looked to his dragon and wife's chameleon.

"I'll have them get right on it." Fredric promised and called a few of the guards to get a bath ready for the two.

Everyone headed to the doors as they made their way to the backyard. The Vikings were just about to leave when Hiccup stopped them. "If you guys want answers, follow us."

The Vikings nodded and followed Hiccup, Rapunzel, Heather, Windshear, and Serenity through the castle.

After a few minutes, they arrived in Rapunzel's and Hiccup's room as the couple sat on a couch with Toothless and Serenity on both sides (Toothless currently being given a bath) and the Vikings stood at the doorway.

"Okay, so fire away any questions you have," Hiccup told them whilst Fishlegs slowly raised a hand. "Yes, Fishlegs?" He asked with a small chuckle.

"W-what kind of dragon is that?" He asks while he pointed at Serenity.

"Her name is Serenity and she's a Death Song." Rapunzel told him while scratching the dragon's chin while it laid its head on her lap.

"Do they have to be here?" Stoick asks the couple.

"They're here to make sure that you behave." Hiccup said sternly, wishing he didn't have to have this conversation. "I never forgot the last time we last saw each other, Stoick." He stated, refusing to call him his father whilst Toothless growled at Stoick, not forgetting the last time they met either.

"Settle down. We're not here for a fight, just to talk." Gobber said, but Hiccup knew him long enough that he could hear he was actually afraid of the dragons in the room.

"Well, what do you want to know?" Hiccup asks them.

"How about why you're here to begin with." Astrid asks Hiccup.

Hiccup laughed a little and looked towards Rapunzel who blushes at the reason he's here. "Tell the truth, I had no intention of staying here. But Toothless and I-"

"Toothless?" Stoick asks in confusion.

"My best friend." Hiccup explains as he realizes the first time they met; Hiccup never had the chance to introduce Toothless to his father. But in his defense, he was trying to murder him and then was banished a few seconds later. "We were flying over the kingdom, but they noticed us and began to try and shoot us down. We were able to dodge most of them, but a bola got us and sent us falling. When I woke up, Toothless was nowhere to be found and I had a few bruises I needed to look over. That's how I came across a hidden tower." He looked over to Rapunzel who buried her face in her dragon's neck. "Where I met a certain someone."

"I hit him in the back of the head with a frying pan!" Rapunzel confesses out loud, causing the room to look very confused.

"I busted out laughing the first time I was told." Heather commented with a small smile.

"When I finally came to, she had me tied up in her hair." Hiccup continued his tale. "And of course her reptile sticking his tongue down my ear." He looked towards the freshly cleaned Pascal who was resting on his shoulder.

The little chameleon woke up and smacked Hiccup with his tail.

"Long story short, we made a deal that I bring her into town and keep her safe and she'd let me go from her hair. On the way over, we talked, got to know each other. But once we made it into town, we discovered she was the missing Princess and reunited her with her parents." Hiccup did his best to explain everything to them all. "After then, I actually was offered a place to stay here. Then, well, I defeated the Dragon Queen, and we moved all of the dragons here to Corona where they can live in peace."

"How?" Stoick asks with a look of anger.

"By treating them as equals." Hiccup answered sternly. "You all couldn't see it because of your stubbornness. These people? They looked past the whole thing of what I was branded as. Well, it took some time. But they understood where I came from, it means that I actually could stop running. I didn't need to keep running away."

"And he and the dragons have been welcomed here. That'll never change." Rapunzel promised him.

"This is my home...and I actually never thought I'd see any of you again." Hiccup confessed to all of them. "And honestly, I was okay with that."

"And how does Heather fit into all of this?" Astrid asked.

"I washed up on their shore after that storm." Heather took her turn to explain. "After I learned everything that happened, I accidentally bonded with a dragon myself. I kept her a secret for months. But when I learned you were all coming, I left to warn them."

"I decided if you were going to come, I was at least going to make sure none of you did anything to try and cause trouble." Hiccup confessed. "I was done running from you. This is my home. And I'm not going to let you take it from me this time."

Stoick looked sternly, but then was followed by Toothless and Serenity snarling at the man and waiting for him to make a move. Windshear even raised her tail and got her spikes ready to be shot out.

The Vikings looked nervous as Toothless growled and slowly began to charge a Plasma Blast, which made the Vikings even more nervous.

"Hiccup, tell your pet to back off!" Stoick demanded as he got ready to draw his sword, but Hiccup pulled out his.

"Now, that's where you're wrong, Stoick. Toothless is not my pet. He's my best friend! And you don't have any authority here. And you gave up that right to tell me what to do when you casted me out!" Hiccup stated sternly as he ignited Inferno. "This is my home. And if you harm any dragon, any people here for what we believe...you won't like the outcome." He stated darker than any of the Vikings have ever seen before. "And if you even think of engaging a war on us, remember that there are thousands of dragons here and all of them are under mine and Toothless' command!"

After that speech, no one knew what to say. The Vikings were stunned by what Hiccup said while Rapunzel felt pity and even a hint of fear for her husband.

"I'm done with you." Hiccup declared as he turned off Inferno and called for the guards who all ran in along with their dragons. "You can stay on your ship. Everyone is expected to sail away tomorrow."

The Vikings were then escorted out of the room as Hiccup watched them as if he was expecting them to make a move.

"Well, glad that's over," Hiccup said as he sat on the couch.

Rapunzel sat next to him and rubbed his shoulder. "You okay?"

"I will be. It actually felt good to let all that out." Hiccup confessed. "Come on, let's go join the guests. Your parents are probably gonna be wondering where we are." He then stood up and held his hand out for Rapunzel to take and she took it as they strolled off to enjoy the rest of their wedding party.
