The past returns

With their wedding approaching, the king and queen have sent out invitations to the neighboring kingdoms for anyone who wishes to come to corona for the wedding.

Back at Berk, the only good thing that had happened was the dragons mysteriously stop raiding.

A few months after Hiccup had been banished, Stiock had named Snotlout the next heir and after a few weeks, he immediately regretted his decision.

Snotlout tried to impress Astrid every day, but she always rejected him. One time, before the dragons disappeared, he tried to impress her by facing the Nightmare and the results were catastrophic.

The Stocker Class dragon burned several houses and even part of the Great Hall was burnt, and people couldn't get close to it as it had covered itself in flames.

The rampaging continued for nearly an hour before the dragon tired itself out and the Vikings quickly put it back in its cage before it could start another rampage.

Nearly every animal was taken and their food supply decreased drastically.

Right now, Stoick was at a meeting in the Great Hall with some of the other tribe chiefs they were allies with, mainly Oswald from Berserker Island, and his children, Dagur and Heather. They were discussing the sudden disappearance of the dragons from their respective training arenas.

Everyone was confused on why and how did the dragons disappeared, except Heather. She looked more worried than the others because she the truth, and true to her word, she never spoke a word of the day she found where Hiccup was hiding out.

Ever since that day, Heather sneaked off every change she got to be with Windshear. Luckily there was many places to hide her in the woods, but people were catching on.

"What are we going to without dragons?" Spitelout asks.

"We'll figure something out. There has got to be a way to get to the dragons' nest." Said Stoick.

"Everytime we go near that fog, we get attacked by dragons." Oswald reminded him.

"Not to mention this new Dragon Conquer took the dragons we have captured," added Dagur and Heather smirked a little as she knew who the Dragon Conqueror was. "I've heard he only shows up at night with his Night Fury and even has a flaming sword. Maybe he's the one, who sends dragons to raid us."

With that comment, Heather had to do something before they all started thinking that Hiccup was the bad guy and try searching for him and start a war with Corona.

"Or he could be the one who is keeping dragons away." Heather said and maybe she should've kept quiet as everyone turned for her to explain. "I'm just saying, after he showed up, the dragons stop raiding. Maybe he's trying to keep both sides safe. By keeping the dragons away, we don't get hurt or killed and neither do the dragons."

"That might be a possibility, but what kind of a human would betray his own kind to be with those devils?" Stoick asked angrily.

Luckily, before anyone could say anything more, the doors opened, revealing Gobber racing in.

"Stocik, there are ships heading for the port!" Gobber warns them.

"Is it a raid?" Stoick asks.

"No, they actually look like they come bearing a message for Berk." Gobber said with unsure tone.

"Let's see what this is about." Stoick supposes as he exited the Great Hall, followed by Oswald, Dagur and Heather.

When they got to the docks, they noticed a ship, whose symbol was a golden sun docked and Heather immediately recognized it came from Corona as two men stepped off the boat.

"Welcome to Berk, I'm Chief Stoick. May I ask who you are?" Stoick asked them.

"Greetings! We come on behalf of King Fredrik to invite you to the wedding of his daughter and her chosen prince." Said one of the men and Heather quietly gasped, both out of the shock of hearing about the invite and about the location.

"We're invited to a wedding?" Gobber asked, never hearing of Corona before. "Excuse me, but where's the kingdom you speak of."

"South from here. A little further from the boundary of the Archipelago." said the other man as he pointed in the direction.

"But the boundary is nearly a week from here." Dagur informed the,

"Well, we don't want to disrespect the King. I accept the invitation." Stoick says and now Heather begins to back off slowly to try and sneak off. If they got to Corona, they'll discover everything, she might not be able to stop them, but she can prepare the others.

"When is the wedding going to take place?" Stoick asks.

"About a week from now." They answered.

"Very well. We'll be there." Stoick promised.

"You can bring up to five guests with you." The man informs Stoick.

"We could be part of those guests." Oswald offered, gesturing to himself and the kids.

"Actually, I think I should stay on Berserker in case of an invasion. Someone has to be in charge." Heather said before she could break apart from them all.

"You're right." Oswald supposed. and turned to Stoick. "What do you say?"

"Very well. The two of you may come. I'll bring Gobber, Fishlegs, Snotlout, Astrid and the twins with me, don't want them causing problems while I'm gone." Stoick said and the men handed a paper to Stiock.

"We'd like you to write the names of the people you'll be bringing with you." Asked the man and Stoick wrote down everyone's names, and handed the paper back. "Thank you. We'll be expecting you."

As the two men got on the ship and sailed away, Heather sneaked away and ran as fast as possible through the woods, making sure she wasn't followed while she was at it until she made it to where Windshear was hiding and got on her dragon and they flew towards Corona, hoping to make it there before the others.

It was a warm morning in Corona, and the Royal Family, Hiccup and their dragons were having breakfast together whilst discussing their upcoming wedding.

But right in the middle of their planning, the door opened and see the Captain of the Guard enter with his Nadder.

"Sorry to bother you, Your Highness, but one of the watch towers just spotted a dragon heading this way." The Captain and everyone, except Hiccup, tensed a little.

"What kind of a dragon is it?" Hiccup asked.

"We managed to identify it as a Razorwhip and it has a Rider."

Hiccup didn't have to think for long until he realized who it was, as well as Rapunzel.

"Heather?" Rapunzel asked Hiccup in confusion.

"Yeah, but why are Heather and Windshear coming to Corona?" Hiccup questioned.

"I don't know, so let's find out," Rapunzel says as she walked out of the room with Hiccup and they were quickly followed by Toothless, Serenity, and her parents.

Once they made it outside, they saw Windshear land on the ground and Heather hopped off of her dragon and ran up to Hiccup.

"Heather, what's wrong?" Hiccup asked as he saw she was in a hurry.

"Hiccup, something happened." Heather raced to tell him. "A ship form Corona arrived on Berk, and now your father and a few of the Vikings are be coming here for your wedding."

Hiccup and the Royal Family just stared at her, trying to process what Heather had just said.

"Who exactly will be coming?" Hiccup Asked in a low voice.

"Stoick, Gobber, Astrid, Tuff and Ruff, Fishlegs, Snotlout, and my father and Dagur." Heather listed for him. "I told my father that I'd go back to Berserker Island, but I had warn you and if I have to be honest, I don't think I can stay on Berserker Island. Some villagers are already suspecting I'm hiding something and I don't know what'll happen if they find Windshear."

"It's okay, Heather. I understand." Hiccup promised her. "You can stay here if you want."

"Thanks, but I don't want to be a burden." Heather says.

"Nonsense. You're Hiccup's friend. And every friend of Hiccup's is a friend to the family." King Fredrik said and turned to a guard. "Please walk Heather to one of the guest rooms. I'm sure she and her dragon are tired from the long flight."

The guard nodded and escorted Heather to a guest room, leaving Hiccup, Rapunzel, her parents and their dragons.

"Hiccup, what are we going to do?" Rapunzel asked, softly.

"I don't know. My father banished me from Berk and sent me running...but I'm not running anymore." Hiccup declared, not running away from his new home because of his father anymore.

"So we'll just let them come to our wedding?" Rapunzel asked and Hiccup nodded.

"I think it's time for them to face the real Hiccup. They saw me as a traitor. A castaway. Let them come, but we'll keep an eye on them. And not just for our safety, but for the dragons' safety as well. They're still at war with them, but even they're not that stupid to start fighting thousands of dragons." Hiccup said and remembered half of the, actually are stupid enough to do it. "Well, my father isn't. Literally all of the others are." He then sighed and looked to the clear sky and walked towards Toothless. "I need to go for a flight to clear my mind." He told Rapunzel and his soon to be in–laws, who know that Hiccup always went flying when he was feeling down as Hiccup hopped on Toothless and the two bolted into the sky.

"I'm gonna join him." Rapunzel said as she hopped on her Death Song, and followed Hiccup and Toothless into the air as her parents just laughed at how fast they are to react to the other when they're down.

Hiccup was on the beach where the boat that he and Rapunzel rode in for the lanterns still stood after all this time and it was the perfect place to look over all of Corona as the sun began to set from a distance and was lost in thought about what he was going to do with about his past coming for him.

He people of Corona would never let anything happen to him, they know the truth. The truth his father wouldn't listen to. The people love him and would defend him against anything. Something that he never had anyone do for him back home.

Toothless suddenly walked up and rubbed against him, getting Hiccup's attention.

"What?" Hiccup asks as Toothless grunts inquisitively and looked down to his peg leg. "Oh, all right. You do know it's not a chew toy, donn you?" He asks as he detached his leg and started hopping on one leg. "Is this what you want?" He asks whole Toothless watches it, ready for it. "Oh, do you want this leg?" He then tosses it. "Go get it."

Toothless gladly runs after the leg as it goes down the mountain and Hiccup tries to get back where he was in his mind when he noticed a familiar Death Song and it's Rider.

"So this is where you come to get away." Rapunzel says as she lands and approaches Hiccup.

"Well, it's a amazing spot. And it's a bit of an reminds." Hiccup says as he gestures to the boat.

Rapunzel drops off of Serenity and walks over to Hiccup just as Toothless came up to her and hands her Hiccup's leg, now covered in dragon slobber.

Rapunzel groans in disgust and tosses it as she goes to join Hiccup. "So what's going on in that brain of yours?"

"Just thinking. About what lead to us meeting." Hiccup admits. "I had to be banished from my home. Banished from about a dozen other places until I was suddenly shot down by the palace guards. I had to discover that hidden passage. Seen that tower."

"And then I had to hit you in the head with my frying pan." Rapunzel reminded him as Pascal rolls his eyes and Hiccup chuckles at that reminder and even rubbed his head.

"Yeah, I think you left a dent back there. I mean, you hit me like what four times?" Hiccup asks.

"In my defense, you were a stranger who just broke into my home." Rapunzel reminds him. "Ain't That Right, Pascal?" She asks the chameleon who shrugs and lays down.

Hiccup laughs again just as Toothless returns and drops the leg on his lap and he tosses it as Serenity chases it as well.

"You sure you're ready to face them?" Rapunzel asks, looking out for her soon-to-be husband.

"I don't know, but we can't stop it now." Hiccup sighs and pulls Rapunzel closer. "But I know with you and the entire kingdom behind me, nothing will happen to me."

"I'll always be there to protect you." Rapunzel promises and pecks his cheek. "And to always heal your heart."

"You have to break it, because you healed it years ago." Hiccup states as he pecks her head. "And you did it without your magical hair."

"Okay, calm down, we're already about to get married, no need to flatter the bride." Rapunzel states but becomes more playful. "But I won't stop you if you choose to continue."

They were just seconds from kissing just as Toothless returns and tackles the two with Hiccup's leg and drops it on his face.

"Gah, Toothless!" Hiccup cries as he gets up and Toothless laughs at his misfortune as he stands and tries to clean himself off. "Come on, let's go home, my princess." He helps Rapunzel stand up and the two leave just as the sun finally sets.
