Return to Corona
Hiccup and Rapunzel flew in over Corona and began to descent, and eventually landed in the center allowing Hiccup, who was wearing his helmet, gets off the saddle. They quickly raced to the castle to inform Rapunzel's parents of the upcoming danger.
"Welcome back, Hiccup," said Frederic much as Hiccup took off his helmet.
"Hello, sir." greeted Hiccup.
"Dad, we need to tell you about this new land we came across." Rapunzel stated as they followed her father through the halls. "The folks there weren't particularly friendly. They were very...hostile. Even for people living on their own."
"Oh, really?" Cassandra asked, sarcasm very clear in her voice. "Your Night Fury and Deathsong didn't bring them cheering to the skies?"
"They were not the standard, run-for-the hills hoo-ha I've come to expect." Hiccup explained as he and Rapunzel followed her parents to the throne room. "These guys...were trappers. Dragon trappers."
Silence fell over the room as the statement echoed through the room, the mood having changed entirely. They've heard these types of people but have never come across them before.
"You should've seen their fort," Rapunzel said, waving her hands. "All blown apart and stuck in giant spikes of ice! It was weird!"
"I've never seen anything like it," Hiccup said, looking down briefly before lifting his head once again. "And worse of all, they thought we did it!"
"You know, you guys are gonna get yourselves and the rest of Corona into serious trouble one of these days." Cassandra informed them as she was fixing up Rapunzel's attire.
"They are building a dragon army," Hiccup said flatly and slowly as if speaking to a five-year-old.
The guards surrounding who were eavesdropping on the conversation whispered in hushed, confused tones.
"Or...or at least the guy they're working for is," Hiccup corrected himself. "Ah..." He swirled his wrist a few times, trying to remember the name. "Dargo Bluddyfist, or something."
Frederic looked to Arianna who looked over to her own dragon and became very concerned. "If this is true, what is your plan?"
"We'll ride back out there," Hiccup said once he was sure he got a plan. "We'll follow those trappers to Drago and talk some sense into him."
Fredric was worried about this plan and looked to Arianna. "If he's sure he can do this, we should give him the chance."
"We won't fail. Have we failed yet?" Hiccup asked with a smile.
"Exactly." Rapunzel agreed with her husband and pecked his cheek, earning a growl of annoyance from Pascal. But then she looked and saw Cassandra had s irritated look on her face. "What?"
"One of these days, you guys might pick a fight you can't win." Cassandra stated to the two as they shrugged it off and started to leave.
Eret's ship glided through the ocean, and Eret stood at the bow of the ship, overlooking the sea.
"Keep your eyes peeled, lads!" he ordered. "With this wind, we'll reach Drago by daybreak, so best we fill this ship up with dragons, and quick! It's no time to be picky!"
"Uh...Eret?" one of the other trappers said, tapping Eret's shoulder, his eyes fixated on the sky.
Eret didn't notice it yet. "Not if we want to keep our-" he started, stopping when he finally looked at the sky.
Two dragons flew towards them with three riders mounted on their backs.
"Heads!" Eret finished, excitedly. "Off the port quarter! Net 'em, lads! Take 'em down!"
"Up on the left!" another trapper shouted, and then, Eret got a good look at just who the riders were.
The same riders from earlier that same day.
Serenity snatched Erer right off the deck of the ship, and almost instantly, Eret began screaming as they kept dodging all of the bolas coming their way.
"Eret, Son of Eret!" trappers shouted from the ship, but to no avail. They fired bolas and arrows at them, but nothing stopped the dragon riders, and they continued flying until the ship was out of sight.
"What is this!?" Eret demanded, scrambling to grab ahold of Serenity's leg.
"A kidnapping." Hiccup answered cheerily as he and Toothless flew over to him. "You're gonna show us the way to Drago," he said, nodding in the direction of the sky as they continued in the direction that they were going in.
"And help Dragon Riders sneak into Drago's camp?" Eret gasped.
He let go of Serenity's leg so that the only thing keeping him in the air was Serenity's claws wrapped around his arm and leg.
"Just kill me now!" Eret pleaded.
Rapunzel smirked knowing he was going to say something like that. "That can be arranged," she assured him. "Serenity, drop." She commanded her dragon, and she was more than happy to oblige.
Eret gasped as Serenity released the trapper, who soon began screaming as he plummeted down towards the ice.
"Good girl!" Rapunzel said, rubbing her dragon's neck in congratulations. "Now, fetch!"
Serenity chirped in understanding and soared downwards towards the falling dragon trapper.
"All right!" Eret screeched as he became too close for comfort. "I'll take you to Drago!"
Serenity snatched him up again, just before Eret hit the water. Rapunzel crackled, smiling in satisfaction. "Ha, works every time."
"It worked once." Hiccup defended with the one-time Rapunzel did it to him as a joke.
"Hey, it worked enough for me." Rapunzel stated with a grin and smile.
Hiccup rolled his eyes and just kept following them, unknowing they themselves are being followed.
