Hiccup had no idea what to tell her after seeing his father somehow found him and brought them towards the shore and grabs his sword for defense.

"I need you to stay here, Rapunzel. For your safety. I saw something I need to take care of. I'll be back before you know it." He promises her and lights Inferno and walks towards where he saw Stoick walk off towards.

Rapunzel watches him go and wonders what's wrong as does Pascal. "It's all right, Pascal."

Hiccup marches towards where he saw his father leave off toward. If he somehow followed him, he might've brought more but he needs to at least try to finish this.

He finds someone hiding in the shadows, believing it's him, he keeps his sword raised.

"You couldn't leave me alone after calling me a traitor, could you?" Hiccup asks and approaches the shadow. "This isn't Berk, and you're not my father anymore. As so, you can't do anything to me."

Hiccup moves closer to where he sees him, but what he saw was a cutout of his father made from bushes and tree bark.

"Wha..?" Hiccup wonders, but the next thing he knows, he's surrounded by darkness.

Rapunzel waits for some time before starting to get worried.

She goes to where she saw him go and sees no sign of him and looks out to the fog and notices Hiccup sailing away.

"Hiccup?" Rapunzel questions and is confused what he's doing. "Hiccup!" She calls out and he doesn't even flinch.

"Rapunzel?!" She hears her mother call.

"Mother?" Rapunzel asks and goes back to the boat and sees her.

"Oh, my precious girl!" Gothel says and runs up to her and Rapunzel is still confused.

"How did you...?"

"I was so worried about you, dear. So I followed you, and I saw him leaving, and...let's go!" Gothel says and Rapunzel wonders why Hiccup would leave like that, and chooses to return home.

Hiccup wake up and sees he's in front of a castle while holding a wanted poster and the guards come down to arrest him.

Toothless was sleeping peacefully when he heard Hiccup struggling and crying out for Rapunzel and looks to see Hiccup is being taken away. He looks out to where Hiccup came from and knows Rapunzel must be in danger.

The next day, Hiccup is in a cell and is wondering what they're going to do to him.

The cell door opens and Hiccup sees the captain of the guards.

"Come on, traitor." He tells Hiccup and then sees there's a boat with prisoners.

They're sending him to Berk.

Gothel is in Rapunzel's bedroom and finishes removing the flowers from her hair.

"There. It never happened." She says and tosses the flowers into a basket. "Now, wash up for dinner. I'm making hazelnut soup." She informs Rapunzel and was leaving when she sees her depressed. "I really did try, Rapunzel. I tried to warn you what was out there. The world is dark and selfish and cruel. If it finds even the slightest ray of sunshine, it destroys it." She says and closes the door that is a curtain.

Rapunzel looks down at her hands where she still holds the cloth with the sun that Hiccup got her and Pascal squeals, leans to comfort her. She lays back and looks at her paintings and notices something.

The same sun mark on this cloth is all around her drawings. She just always drew what came to mind, and she always saw that one marker in her mind, and never noticed why.

Suddenly, a glimpse of a memory comes back of the mark and sees the king and Queen from the mural in her mind. The mural for the lost princess comes back into mind and she realizes something.

She's the lost princess.

Hiccup is being lead down the halls and towards the boat when Hiccup noticed a small unicorn figurine on a stand.

Suddenly, all the doors close around them and confused them all.

"What's this?" The Captain asks and slams his fist on the door. "Open up!"

Suddenly, the window of the door opens and the old man Cupid from the bar is there.

"What's the password?" He asks and closes the window.

"What?" The Captain asks.

"No." Cupid says and closes the window again.

"Open this door!" Captain demands.

"Not even close."

"You have three seconds!" Captain warns when a hook comes down and takes the guy from Hiccup's left side and someone dragged the one on his right through a doorway. When the Captain got to three, he noticed they were missing and gets hit in the head by a frying pan from bucket helmet.

"Frying pans! Who knew they were such a useful weapon?" Hiccup asks when guards come down and start chasing them as they run.

Hiccup and bucket helmet run past the mime as he stops them and keeps them distracted when over helmet comes charging and sends the guards flying down the hall and the mime makes a shock gesture.

Hiccup and bucket helmet make it to the yard where more guards are coming and Hiccup feels like this is really overkill.

Suddenly, not-Gobber moves him to a specific location.

"Head down." He starts telling Hiccup what to do.

"Head down." Hiccup does as he says.

"Arms in."

"Arms in."

"Knees apart."

"Knees apart?" Hiccup asks, confused. "Why do I need to keep my knees apart?" He wonders when he suddenly gets slingshot into the air and goes flying until he lands onto Toothless. "Toothless?"

Toothless smiles at him and purrs.

"You brought them here? Nice work." Hiccup thanks and scratches his head when more guards come up behind them. "Let's go, bud." He says and the two take to the sky and go searching for Rapunzel.

They fly up and down to where they found the boat but there's no sign of Rapunzel and fears the worst.

He drops down and starts sulking on the boat, seeing no way of tracking her when he looks to Toothless who's trying to cheer him up.

Hiccup smiles slightly and pets the dragon's head when he looks inside the boat and sees one of her hair flowers. He looks to Toothless and remembers how he was able to track him from across the forest.

"Toothless, think you can pick up Rapunzel's scent with this?" Hiccup asks his dragon and places the flower near his face.

Toothless sniffs the flower for a second and quickly picks up the girl's scent and screeches for Hiccup to climb onto the saddle.

"Rapunzel, what's going on up there?" Gothel asks as she goes back up the stairs where Rapunzel is getting over the shock of what she discovered.

"Are you all right?" Gothel asks as Rapunzel leaves her room.

"I'm the lost princess." She whispers.

"Please, speak up, Rapunzel. You know how I hate the mumbling." Gothel reminds her.

"I am the lost princess." She speaks up and looks towards Gothel in anger. "Aren't I?"

Gothel looks shocked before playing it off.

"Did I mumble, mother? Or should I even call you that?" Rapunzel asks in anger.

Gothel sighs and walks towards her. "Rapunzel, do you even hear yourself? Why would you ask a ridiculous question?"

"It was you! It was all you!" Rapunzel says and pushes her out of the way.

"Everything I did was to protect you." Gothel says and Rapunzel pushes her out of the way.

"I've spent my entire life hiding from people who would use me for my power...when I should have been hiding from you." Rapunzel realizes.

"Where will you go? He won't be there for you." Gothel promises.

"What did you do to him?" Rapunzel asks and fears the worst.

"Now, now. It's all right. Listen to me. All of this is as it should be." Gothel promises and notices she's getting older and reaches to touch Rapunzel when she stops her.

"No! You were wrong about the world. And you were wrong about me! And I will never let you use my hair again!" Rapunzel promises and pushes her out of the way, shattering the mirror in the process.

"You want me to be the bad guy?" Gothel asks as Rapunzel starts leaving. "Fine, now I'm the bad guy."

Before anything could happen, Rapunzel started hearing a screech flying through the tower when the window burst open and Toothless roars as Hiccup runs over to Rapunzel.

"Are you okay?" Hiccup asks her.

"You're okay?" Rapunzel asks, shocked he's okay.

"Yeah, I'm okay." Hiccup promises and looks towards Gothel with anger. "I don't know how you knew about my father, or what you did. But leave. Her. Alone!"

"You just couldn't stay away, could you?!" Gothel asks as they watch and her hair gets white.

Hiccup and Rapunzel look towards one another, confused as to what's happening to her. Gothel draws a knife and Hiccup draws Inferno as a shield and blocks her attack as Toothless uses a blast and pushes her towards the window.

Pascal uses Rapunzel's hair and Gothel trips on it and she goes falling out.

Before she could hit the ground however, time caught up with her and she vanished.

Hiccup and Rapunzel looks shocked to how she dies and look at one another, happy the other's all right.

Toothless pushes Hiccup closer and they hug before Rapunzel pulls him into another kiss.

They're now riding Toothless on their way back to the kingdom after Rapunzel told Hiccup what she discovered about her family and tying up her hair again, so it wouldn't get wrapped up in Toothless' tail.

"So, your Mother was using you for your power while saying others would want to use you for your powers?" Hiccup clarifies to Rapunzel.

"That about sums it up nicely." Rapunzel says. "Aren't you worried how people will react to Toothless?"

"Nah, if they try to shoot us down again, we'll be prepared this time." Hiccup promises and as if on que, they're fired upon a Hiccup does his best to avoid them and lands in the palace gate.

They're then surrounded by guards and Toothless gets ready to attack but Hiccup keeps him back.

"We need to see the King and Queen." Hiccup tells them and some of them face Rapunzel and start to put it all together.

One guard ran to get King Fredric and Queen Auriana with the news.

The king and Queen ran as fast as they could to the chaos and saw Rapunzel and immediately knew who she was. They all engulfed each other in a hug and Hiccup smiled to the side.

Auriana looked to Hiccup and holds her hand out and pulls Hiccup into their hug.

The kingdom rejoiced in the return of the lost princess and they partied for the whole day.

As the party settled down that night, Hiccup and Toothless were down by the docks when Rapunzel joined him and Pascal leaped onto Toothless who allowed him to rest in his face.

"So, you leaving again?" Rapunzel wonders as Hiccup was considering it, but maybe he could find a new home here.

Hiccup looks up to the night sky and wonders if he should. "You know, maybe I could stick around here for a while longer."

Rapunzel looks happy he's sticking around and pecks his cheek. "Your dream as good as you hoped?" She wonders, remembering how finding a home was his dream.

"Better than I could've ever dreamed." Hiccup says and pulls her into another kiss.
