Sometimes, starting off on a brand new server can be pretty hard. Nobody knows you, you know nobody, and you've got no idea how to win their attention. So here are a couple ideas on how you can start off!

1. Build a House.

And I mean building an actual house, not a hut. This shows that you are going to use your plot well, and gives an opportunity for others to see how awesome a builder you are! And always, ALWAYS, make sure to build a pool. They're pretty.

2. Tame some animals!

You should tame a couple dogs and horses, just to liven your house a little! It also helps a lot, because it gives the other players a good impression, and it also brightens up your place a little!

3. Visit other people!

When players get bored, they always type in the chat : TP to me for an  awesome party! etc.  You should start off by TPing to them just to visit their place and be nice. Then you might meet a few nice people, and gain some friends so later if you want to host a competition, they will join!

Warning!

If somebody asks you to add them so they can "help you build" on your plot, make sure to double check that they are NOT GRIEFERS. I made a huge mistake once by adding anybody who asked, and trust me, it didn't turn out well. Only add your friends.
