~Emily's POV~

"I can't believe you're going out with with Millard Nullings!" My best friend, Victoria said while we were walking towards our picnic table the next day.

"We're just friends!" I said, causing her to laugh. So what, Millard asked me out on a movie date! It was probably just to be friendly or something.

"What are you going to see?" She asked. 

"Um, The Conjuring." I replied. (A/N: the story is set in 2014, when Jake is 18. I know the Conjuring came out in 2013, but I forget any horror movies that came out in 2014.)

"Oooh I hear that's good! Can I come?" Natalie asked once we got to our table.

"Yeah I hear it's good too, can I come?" TJ asked.

"I'm coming if TJ is" Luke stated.

"I've got nothing better to do than bother Luke, I'll come"  Max said.

"I wanna see Emily on an actual date." Percy said.

"Me too!" Victoria said.

"It would be interesting to see her flirt." Charlie said.

I groaned into my food. The last thing I need is all 7 idiots going on a date with me. I took a deep breath.

"Natalie you need to work on our Halloween costumes, Percy, you need to help her, Max, Vicky, you both have to work, Charlie, you need to work on your campaign, TJ you've got that art project, and Luke you hate scary movies!" I said. They all glared at me.

"I have another week."

"She hates it when I help her"

"We can take off"

"I'm in the lead"

"I'm almost finished"

"I can close my eyes"

I plunked my head into the table. There was no way they weren't coming now. I told them they can't.

"Hi Emily" I looked up to see Millard coming towards us, with a freshmen I didn't know.

"Hi Millard." I said. He sat down at our table and grinned.

"Aren't you going to introduce me to your friends?" He said.

"Oh, right sorry. Guys this is Millard." They all waved, while Victoria and Natalie grinned at me. "Millard this is my brother, Charlie, my cousins Natalie and Luke, their, um, sort of adoptive brother, Max, and our friends TJ, Victoria, and Percy." They all waved.

"Nice to meet you, this is my foster sister Bronwyn." He said. Bronwyn smiled slightly and stuck her hands back in her pockets.

"So, Millard," Victoria started. Oh jesus here we go. "When are you and Em going on this movie date?" I feel my face turn bright red. Millard only grinned.

"I was thinking tomorrow. That's why I came over here, to see when you want to go." He said. 

"Tomorrow would be great." I replied.

"Great! I've got to go to the library. I'll see you tomorrow." He said. He was about to leave when he said. 

"Is it okay if Bronwyn comes? Your friends may come as well if they want." 

"Um sure, but they don't have to.."

"Thank you Emily, we'll see you tomorrow. Bye!"

"Bye." I said. I turned to my friends to see them all grinning.

"Don't you have other things to do?" I begged.

"Percy'll be my assistant, I'll get them done by Halloween."

"We'll take off work."

"I don't have anything better to do." 

"Me too"

"I can close my eyes"

I sighed.

"Fine, but you better all be good. Natalie, TJ not petty fighting,  Luke, Max, Charlie, Percy, not one fart or prostitute joke, and Victoria don't threaten them after a stupid joke. Am I clear?" I said.

"Yes ma'am!" Max yelled. Victoria and Natalie hi-fived and the others grinned.

"Also, Natalie, Percy, our costumes better be amazing!" I said. Natalie grinned.

"Don't worry Em, they aren't hard to do. I can get them done by next week and they'll still be great." She said 

"What are we even being this year, Tallie?" Charlie asked.

Natalie grinned. "Oh you'll see." 

I knew Natalie was up to something. But I didn't care, I had bigger things to worry about. Like how to control my friends. And what to wear.

~~~~~~~Fiona's POV~~~~~~~

I was sitting on the girls bathroom sink with Emma, right after I took the pregnancy test. We had gotten one from the nurse this morning.

"You worried, Fi?" Emma asked. I nodded. Emma put her arm around me.

"It'll be okay. Everyone will help you out. And if Hugh freaks out I'll give him a third degree burn that he will never forget." I smiled a bit as the timer ran out. 

I flipped over the test in my lap. Two lines positive, one line negative. I looked down. Two lines. 

Emma sucked in her breath as my eyes began to tear up. 

"Maybe it's wrong." I said, beating the test against the sink. Two lines. I beat it harder. Two lines. I hit it on the wall. Two lines. I threw it up against the wall. It cracked, but there was still two lines on the screen. 

I broke down crying on the floor as Emma threw away the test and tried to sooth me. She told me it would be okay. But it wouldn't . It would never be okay.

As I was crying, two teenage girls came into the restroom laughing and giggling. 

"Did you see Emily's face! It was so red!" The girl with blue hair said. 

"Oh she likes him so much! She'll never admit it" the other one said. They then noticed me and Emma on the floor.

"Is everything okay?" The blue-haired girl asked as they both crouched down.

"Um yes, she just, erm, ate meat. She's a hardcore vegetarian." Emma said. I raised my eyebrow and she shrugged.

"Okay, I'm sure the animal forgives you. Don't tear yourself up about it, it'll be okay." The other girl said. I nodded, only to be polite. If only she knew.

The bell for class then rang.

"Well looks like we've gotta go. I hope you will be okay. Bye." She said. They then left.

"Come on Fi" Emma said,pulling me up. She helped me clean up and get to class, while one thing was on my mind. I was having a baby. Hugh's baby.

~~~~~~~~Bronwyn's POV~~~~~~~~

"Why do I have to come again?" I asked Millard as we scanned the books in the library. 

"Because Bronwyn, I can not get to know all eight of them in one evening. You are going to take on the two other girls and two boys, while I will take on Emily and three other boy. Clear?" He said. I shrugged. It's not like I had anything better to do.

"What are we doing in the library?" I asked.

"We are looking for the complete work of Sherlock Holmes. Emily has told me multiple times how much she loves the book and television series. I want to impress her with my knowledge of the series." He said.

"So this isn't because you like her, you know as more than a friend?" I asked. Millard rolled his eyes.

"Will you stop asking questions, Bronwyn. It's quite annoying." He flicked through some more books, until he found it. 

"Found it! Let's go!" I followed him out of the library. What have I signed up for?
