Y/N'S POV~

After Jin left that night, I went straight to my bed. I was tired and today's events were something else.

My mind kept going back to why Jin had popped up randomly. He knew I was hanging out with Yoongi but he didn't seem to care.

The only reason I had asked him if he still liked me was because that was one of the reasons I could think of why he was acting so weird lately with Yoongi.

I was honestly a little shocked he said no. Of course, I wasn't that conceited that I figured he would say yeah but now that just meant my other theory was right.

Jin was just worried Yoongi would take his spot as my best friend. In that case, Jin had nothing to worry about.

If I'm being honest, after today's situation with the rain and the movies, I was starting to see Yoongi as someone I could potentially like.

Of course, as I said, I had no plans to date anyone anytime soon but who knows, things happen when you least expect it.

Plus, now I know that Jin doesn't like me still so I won't feel as bad if I do end up pursuing things with Yoongi.

With that thought in mind, I go to sleep.

JIN'S POV~

The next day at work when I came in, Y/n was already there. Usually she didn't come in before I did.

"Hey." I say as I take a seat at my desk that was beside hers. "Morning." She smiles, seeming to be in a pretty good mood.

I was glad at least one of us was happy. After everything that happened yesterday from the Yoongi situation, to me trying to confess; Everything was so bad.

I felt defeated. I missed the one chance I had to tell Y/n how I feel and now I may never get that chance again.

"Someone's in a good mood today." I say as I glance over at Y/n who hadn't stopped smiling since I got here.

"I have no idea why. I just woke up feeling good." She says as she looks over at me, her cheeks slightly rosy.

"That's good, I'm glad." I say even though deep down I was a little worried. Why was she so glad today? Was it because she found out I don't still like her? I was probably overthinking it all but when the girl you're in love with has an attractive male neighbor that's also in love with her, you can't exactly relax.

"I know you don't exactly like Yoongi but do you want to come hang out with us later? He said if I really wanted you to come he wouldn't mind." Y/n says and I glance over at her, confused.

Why the hell would Yoongi be okay with me coming to hang out with them when it was obvious he didn't like me and he knew I didn't like him.

Regardless, I wasn't going to let the two of them hang out alone so naturally I said, "Yeah, sure."

That's how we got here, the three of us roaming around some park we decided to take a walk in after getting lunch.

Y/n seemed to be the only cheerful one here out of the three of us. To literally anyone else it was painfully obvious we hated each other and were only here because of Y/n.

"That restaurant was so good, we should go back there sometime!" Y/n says out loud to no one in particular but of course, Yoongi answered her.

"Absolutely, we definitely can."

I let out a small breath but neither of them seems to notice. As we walked, I noticed Y/n was automatically walking closer to me. That made me happy at least.

Obviously I've known her longer so naturally she'd be a bit more comfortable with me and right now, I was insanely grateful for that.

"Do you want to sit for a bit?" I ask as we go to pass by a picnic table. The two of them agree and we all take a seat. Thankfully, Y/n sat down on my side, leaving Yoongi alone on the other side.

"After this did you want to come back to my place or?" Yoongi asks and Y/n's eyebrows raise. "I've never been in your apartment before, can you believe that." Y/n laughs and that piece of information wasn't one I had thought about but I was glad she confirmed it.

"It's weird right? I come over all the time but you've never seen my place." Yoongi says and yup, now I was annoyed again.

"So, what do you say, you guys wanna?" Yoongi asks, his eyes moving from Y/n then to me. The look in his eyes as he looked at me wasn't the same as how he had looked at Y/n.

"Are you cool with that?" Y/n asked as she looked up at me. I looked from her then to Yoongi. "Yeah sure, that's fine." I say, my eyes not leaving his.

"Alright then...Well let's go." She says as she stands as do Yoongi and I. I trail along as Y/n and Yoongi seem to get lost in conversation about some random time they hung out.

Honestly, I think tagging along with the two of them did more damage than not but at the same time, I'd rather be here and in the way of them being alone then the two of them by themselves where something could possibly happen.

Although I'm sure if something were to happen, it's not like I could stop it anyway. I'd have no choice but to deal with it, to suffer on the sidelines.

I just hoped it wouldn't come to that and if it did...I don't know what I'd do.
