Chapter Two: You Say We Need To Talk

"Nice to meet you Libitina." I said.

I reached my hand out to Libitina to shake her hand but Yalung grabbed my wrist.

"Only people that the Masaya let's can touch her." He said.

"N-No...it's alright..." Libitina said.

She grabbed my hand with both of her hands and seemed very interested in my hand.

"Your hands...their so rough..." She said.

"Yeah...I've been doing a lot of work where I come from." I said.

Libitina kept touching my hand, as if she's never even touched a guy before.

"Aaaaalright, that's enough." Yalung said.

He grabbed my wrist and pulled it away from Libitina. She had a face of disappointment that came over her.

"Let's take you two to your sleeping quarters for tonight." Yalung said.

He exited the room and we followed behind him. Libitina stood at my side with her hands cupped together.

"Tell me more about how she's supposed to take us to salvation." I said, sparking conversation and trying to get more information out of this nutcase.

"Well, we believe that one day, Libitina will open her third eye." Yalung said.

I looked over at Libitina and she seemed frightened at Yalung's words.

"What happens when she opens her third eye?" I asked.

"She will become the pure beauty of misery. She will kill, slaughter, and mutilate any who stands in the way of Yunkraught."

"But she's like...16." I said.

"I'm...um...18..." Libitina said shyly.

I looked over at Libitina and she looked like she was about to faint. I placed my hand on her shoulder and whispered to her.

"Are you alright, Libitina?" I asked.

She seemed surprised by my touch and turned to face me, her bright yellow eyes having a sparkle to them.

"Y-Yes...thank you..." She said.

I took my hand off her shoulder and put it back at my side. I think that she noticed that I was the only one who thought all of this was...off.

I was taken off guard when Libitina snatched my hand and held it in hers. Me and her held each other's hands as we walked out of the large building and towards one of the lodges.

"Here's where you will be staying for tonight. I expect you to come in full uniform tomorrow." Yalung said.

"Yeah...sure thing." I said.

Yalung turned around and saw that me and Libitina were holding hands. He grabbed Libitina's other hand and yanked her away.

"W-Wait...." Libitina said as she was dragged away.

"Come along now, Libitina. We need to run more tests. The faster you open your third eye, the easier this will be for you." Yalung said.

Yalung took Libitina away and she seemed sad to leave. I turned to the room that was assigned to me.

I opened the door slowly as it creaked loudly. Inside the room, was a bed and a table against the wall.

No TV, no dresser, nothing to entertain myself. I walked over to the table and saw a uniform was sitting on it. The uniform was jet black with a blood red eye logo on the heart of it.

I set the uniform off the desk and threw it into the bed. I sat down on the table and started to take notes about what happened today.

"Harmon Foster, October 17, 2019.

I've reached the religious camp at about 9:00 P.M. Spectre Frost was supposed to assist me, however he was busy doing an operation called Operation Firefly.

I am on a one man assignment called Operation Daylight. I have reached a religious camp with a dark background.

They seem to worship some god named Yunkraught that is a demon or devil.

They believe a girl named Libitina will turn into some sort of evil creature possessed by Yunkraught himself, that way he can kill anyone who stands in his way.

They call this possession "Opening your Third Eye."

I plan to evacuate Libitina and other families that I find here. Will provide later information later.

Libitina is a Female 5"5 girl with long white hair and bright yellow eyes. She is actually quite beautiful and..."

"AAAAAAHHHHH."

I heard an ear piercing screech come from outside. I stopped writing and stood up form my desk.

I pulled out my Mauser C96 from my holster and busted through my door. I ran down the hallway and outside of the lodge.

I ran outside seeing two men wearing the black uniform I received dragging a woman away by her arms. I pointed my pistol at them.

"What do you think you're doing?!" I said.

"Stand down, Foster!" A voice said to me.

I turned to my left to see Yalung looking at me with an evil intent on his face.

"What's going on here!?" I asked.

"Yankraught needs more worshipers, so we must make more supporters." He said, as if all of that was normal.

"Yeah? And what if she doesn't want to?" I asked.

"She has no choice with what we do with her..." Yalung said as he let out a chuckle.

"W-What are you gonna do with her...?" I asked.

Yalung scanned me up and down and pointed at each of my arms, and each of my legs.

He grinned and walked away with the people who were dragging the woman away.

Did he just insinuate that he's going to cut off that woman's limbs...and then force her to...oh my God...

I began to gag at the thought of that, as it made me sick to my stomach. I re-holstered my Mauser and walked back into my dorm.

"Damn it Harmon...why didn't you save her..." I said to myself.

I could've easily shot those guys right between the eyes...but that would compromise my mission. Not to mention, they might kill the rest of the innocent people here too.

I tried not to think about it as I walked back to my room. People watched through the cracks of their doors as I walked down the hallway.

A young 10 year old girl stuck her head out and looked at me.

"A-Are they gone...?" She asked me.

"Yeah...I think so. Do you know what all that was about, young lady?" I asked as I crouched down to her level.

"Those bad people...they pick random girls to...make more people for their god...I don't like them...I don't want them to take my mommy..." The girl said.

I placed my hand on top of the girls head.

"It's alright...I won't let them take your mommy." I said.

"M-Mister..."

"Yes?"

"Do you... support Yankraught...?"

"Um..."

I thought about what the right answer was.

"My mommy says that we shouldn't...but we have to pretend to so we can be safe..."

"I don't believe in it anymore than you do."

The girl smiled sweetly at me.

"Thank you mister... goodnight."

"Goodnight."

I stood up and walked down to my room. I opened the door again and took the uniform off my bed. I plopped down on my back and stared at the ceiling.

"What the hell is wrong with these people?" I asked myself.

I looked closely at the ceiling and saw that there was something red on it.

It looked like...blood stains?

"Shit...I gotta get out of here..."

"I have to get all these innocent people out of her..."

"I...I have to get Libitina out of here."
