“Woah, is this the new restaurant that recently opened up?” Taemin questioned, eyes scanning the luxurious chandeliers and the vintage vibes it gave off.

“Yeah, I figured you'd like something like this,” Jimin chuckled, stopping by the receptionist. “Table for two, under Park Jimin.”

“Ah yes,” She gestured forward, walking ahead of them to the table. “This way.”

They trailed behind her, Taemin's eyes haven't stopped twinkling as he looked around the expensive paintings that lined the walls and wooden floor that was furnished so well. He bent towards Jimin's ear.

“How expensive is this place? Because I'm sure as hell, splitting the bill.” Taemin protested, shoving his hands into the depths of his pockets.

“Oh don't worry, it's on me. I got a discount because it's the first time we booked a table,” Jimin says, taking a seat once they reached their table. “And besides, I planned more for our date. This is just the start.”

“Here is your menus, out waiter will be with you in five minutes.”

Jimin and Taemin flipped over the menu booklet and his jaw shackled. “I hope that was a pretty big discount you got because holy shit.”

“Stop looking at the prices!” Jimin chastised, kicking the older under the table.

“Why'd you bring me here, then!” Taemin shot back, returning the nudge under the table. “You know I'd be happy, wherever we go. As long as you're with me.”

“I know, but I wanted to pamper you for once,” Jimin's eyes softened. “Besides, there's also something else I've been meaning to talk to you about.”

Taemin raised an eyebrow. “What is it?”

Jimin parted his lips to reply when they were interrupted by the waiter who came to take their order. All the while Taemin stumbled with his words, not satisfied with an order and changing it to a different one, Jimin laid his elbow on the table and head in his palm. Watching his boyfriend with a glint in his eyes.

“... And a glass of water would do.” Taemin finished off, closing the menu booklet and handing it over to the waiter.

As the waiter stalked off, Jimin woke up from his seat and leaned across the table. He planted a sweet kiss on Taemin's cheek. The older turning a shade of pink.

“I'll be back.” Jimin mumbled, shooting him a smile and walking to the restroom area.

The male and female restrooms were next to each other. And what took Jimin by surprise was when the door to the female restroom opened and a strawberry blonde head came into view. He blinked a couple of times, unsure of he's sight was playing tricks on him. His hand that reached for the male restroom door, froze mid-air.

“Jimin?” His name on her tongue snapped him out of his daze and Jimin took in the sight of someone he never knew he'd encounter.

“Somin? W-what are you doing here?” Jimin questioned.

Somin sniffed and Jimin realised the glistening streaks down her cheeks were tears. He pursued his lips, not wanting to comment nor pry. He knew better than to give attention to someone who has hurt him to such a degree.

“Jimin, I—” She stopped mid-sentence, rubbing away her tears to look at him properly. Almond eyes that were puffy and red because of crying. “I'm sorry. I'm so sorry for what I did to you.”

Jimin did respond, he continued to stare at her. His hand around the door handle was clasped tightly. He didn't know what to say, his ex that he loved for so many years. His ex that he nearly propose to was now apologizing for cheating on him?

“It's just...” Somin sniffed but there was no more tears escaping. She reached forward and held Jimin's arm. “I've had time to reflect on what I've done and I came to realise that I won't ever find someone who'd give me such unconditional love as yourself. Do you think...?”

Jimin took in a deep breath.

“... Do you think we could get back together?”

“Jimin?” Taemin's voice came from behind as the older walked up to them. His eyes concerned and confused. “Is everything okay?”

“Taemin, I...” Jimin pulled his arm away from Somin's grip and stood next to the older. “Let's go back to our table.”

But Taemin didn't budge a muscle when Jimin turned around to leave. The boy stared at Somin, his eyes shining with curiosity.

“Are you Somin?” Taemin asked, noticing the strawberry blonde hair she had. Something that Jimin had mentioned when he spoke of her once. “What do you want?”

Somin's sad and guilt tripping expression turned into a sour one. She opened her mouth to say something when a loud and familiar voice cut her off.

“What are you doing now?” The voice dripped with sarcasm. “You can't even handle a little argument and instead run to other men? I won't say I'm surprised, Somin.”

Taemin felt his body go cold before he glanced back at the voice. Hobi walked towards them, his eyes fixated on Somin that he hasn't noticed Taemin yet. The older muttered his name under his breath that no one could hear. But Jimin stood close to Taemin and was able to make out the name.

That's when it hit them both like a blow to the gut. That their ex's cheated on them with the other. Hobi glanced back at the two males and instant recognition flashed on his face. Taemin felt his breathing get uneven and he grabbed Jimin's hand, ready to pull him away and leave.

But the younger refused, instead he stayed glued to the ground and shot Hobi down with dagger like glares. After how broken he had saw Taemin become, how hurt his boyfriend was when he spoke about his ex. Jimin had made a mental promise to himself that he'd bust Hobi's nose if he ever got the chance. And now felt like the perfect time.

“What's this? Are you trying to get at my ex?” Hobi spat out, an eyebrow raised at Somin before gesturing at Taemin who refused to meet their gaze.

“Huh? Your ex?” Somin followed Hobi's gaze and landed it on Taemin, her own mind working to realise what this is. “Him?”

“Yeah,” Hobi chuckled, giving two shits to the death glare Jimin shot him and focussed on teh helpless Taemin who continued to tug on Jimin in hopes that they could leave. “The tall one. He was always moody, clingy and fucking pathetic—”

Jimin had lost all his logical senses and lurched forward. His fist connecting with the side of Hobi's face, sending him flying backwards against the restroom door that rattled on impact. Somin began yelling and he felt Taemin's hands on him. Trying to claw and pull him back.

But all of that faded into the background of his mind. Jimin straddles Hobi who was still on the ground. Throwing out continuous punches at the boy who struggled to defend his face with his hands.

“Jimin! Calm down!” Taemin yelled from behind him, only to get hit in the nose by Jimin's elbow. “Just stop!”

“How can I?!” Jimin shouted back, glancing over his shoulder at Taemin.

People from the restaurant, from the waiters to the customers had come a bit forward to peek and watch the drama. No one dared to interrupt them.

“How can I just sit back and let him badmouth you! And everything he's done to you!” Jimin's eyes were filled with tears, some already escaping. “He's the reason you were inflicted with so much pain. He's the reason that she cheated on me! Don't be so selfish, Taemin.  Everything could've been so much better, life could've been wonderful. I could be married by now, it's all your fault!”

Hurt flashed across Taemin's face. “I don't care. I don't care about him because I moved on! But Jimin...”

Taemin shook his head in disappointment. His shoulders beginning to shake uncontrollably as the tears formed in his eyes. “I moved on, Jimin. I'm with you, I've moved on. But, I'm not sure about you. Was I just a rebound? Because you clearly seem more regretful of your past relationship than ours!”

Jimin's eyes widens and he realises what he had said. Taemin thinks that if he had a chance, he'd get back with Somin. That he still has feelings for her. And that little misunderstanding punctured a hole in his chest. He stumbled up to his feet and moved to Taemin.

“T-taemin—”

“Maybe it's my mistake. I guess I wasn't good enough that he eventually found salvation in her comfort. We're done,” Taemin moved out of the way when Jimin tried to reach him. “You and me, we're done.”

Without wasting an effort to look back at Jimin, Taemin had turned around and walked out of the restaurant. His ears silenced the murmurs from the audience they had gathered and the humming of his heart beat echoed loudly. He stayed rooted in his spot, unable to think straight nor more.

“Heh,” Hobi snickered, propping himself up from the ground to see everything. “Don't even bother with him. Taemin's a piece of shit, he won't listen to anything.”

Jimin didn't hesitate to turn around and smash his leg onto Hobi's. Bending the sprawled boy's leg into an impossible angle. Somin screamed from the other side but it wasn't loud enough to drown Hobi's voice of agony.
