FIGHTING STYLES THAT ARE SEEN IN NARUTO (and that you should probably do some research on)
1. WEAPON FIGHTING
whether they're a weapon master or not, it's true that practically all shinobi in naruto use some sort of weapon in their fighting. I'll get to weaponry in another segment so 👀
2. Baguazhang
Meaning Eight Triagram Palm (so you know exactly who in Naruto uses this)
Baguazhang mainly focuses on movement and circular motions. While other forms of martial arts require being fixed in place, Eight Triagram Palms require constant movement and fluidity.
It requires using fluid and varied footwork to evade the opponent's attack while using quick strikes at any point in time.
3. Drunken Fist
Though in the anime it is used when Lee is drunk, Drunken fist doesn't actually involve alcohol.
It's all about using uncoordinated and messy movements to make the opponent think they have the upper hand, only to be defeated by the speed and tactics of the drunken fist user.
Drunken fist is usually not used as a stand alone and can involve many different kung fu tactics and styles.
4. Aikido
From Wikipedia bc I'm lazy :
Aikido's fundamental principles include: irimi (entering), atemi, kokyu-ho (breathing control), sankaku-ho (triangular principle) and tenkan (turning) movements that redirect the opponent's attack momentum. Its curriculum comprises various techniques, primarily throws and joint locks
5. Boxing
Usually when the shinobi are just tired and run out of chakra they start punching the shit out of each other.
Sakura is the main character that uses boxing as her go-to fighting style.
6. Hapkido
According to cbr.com
Similar to Aikido, Hapkido has a focus on locks, throwing, and grappling, but as Kickboxing is to Boxing, there is also a heavy focus on various kicks.
7. Krav Maga
Krav Maga is a combination martial art that focuses on realistic, yet tactical self-defense. Since it blends techniques from multiple martial arts, it is the perfect counter for the shinobi world. It borrows strikes, throws, and ground fighting techniques to make an all-around solid defensive and offensive fighter.

TAIJUTSU STYLES IN NARUTO
1. Strong Fist
An "external" and "hard" martial arts style.
External meaning it focuses on explosive and fast movements that are dependent on the user's Strength and agility.
Training for this sort of fighting style requires the build up of muscles, speed, hard hitting fists, and cardiovascular training.
Hard means it focuses on countering an opponent's force with equal or greater force. So the user either blocks the attack with an attack of their own (clashing) or intercept the attack at an angle. Basically their offence becomes their defence.
2. Gentle Fist
Using Internal and Soft martial arts.
Internal meaning the user uses their mind to control the leverage of the relaxed body, and the internal circulation and expression of their chakra. Training regimens include meditation and chakra control.
Soft means the user receives the attacker's force and momentum and then directs the attack into another direction–turning their strength against them to bring them off balance and diffuse the power coming from the attack. A soft style is less about physical Strength and more about internal power.
In Gentle Fist, the user's superior chakra control and precision is the key to their success, emphasising control and defence.

COMBAT TACTICS
1. POWER
Basically just like Naruto, powering through every situation and clearing the way for his teammates
Training regimen for power combat tactics involves physical training and learning as many jutsu as possible.
2. SPEED
Minato and the Raikage use their superior speed to deliver fast hits and leave great impact. Training for this usually involves speed(duh) and endurance training.
3. STATIONARY
Users like Gaara fight in one spot using catch and crush tactics. The aburame clan uses surround and seizure tactics. Usually these type of fighting styles depend on a greater level of defense.
4. SUPPLEMENTARY
Ino-Shika-Cho basically.
According to narutopedia :
Fighting styles are also mainly divided into long-range, mid-range, and close-range type fighters.Puppeteers, such as Kankurō, are long-range fighters, and are at a disadvantage in close-range combat. TheWind Release complements a close-to-mid-range fighter who favours brute force. The Fire Release is a style that complements a mid-to-long-range fighter.
