Warning: violence and cause of blood.

After working in the heat for awhile you both decided to walk around. You still wore Hiccup's shirt because your suit was being worked on. You and Hiccup were walking through the forest.

"So how's being chief?"

"It's alright. It's a lot of work helping the village, it gets hard sometimes."

"Well you'll get used to it, it's gonna be hard but after awhile it'll get easier. Trust me I've been in hard situations."

"I hope so," he replied.

"Do you know where our nightfuries went?" you asked.

"I have a feeling where they might be. C'mon lets check the cove."

After a few minutes you both arrived at the cove where both nightfuries where at. You saw them both chasing and playing together.

"Aww Hic look there so cute."

"Yeah it looks like Toothless has been more happier since he met Midnight."

"Well that's good, c'mon lets go."

You both than entered the cove making yourselves visible.

"Hey love birds we've been looking for you," you said teasing.

Midnight than shoots you a death glare.

"What don't you like Toothless?" you whispered quietly to Midnight.

Her eyes than grew wide.

"Yep, you do. Go get him tiger."

You than pushed Midnight towards Toothless.

"So how about my rematch?" Hiccup asked.

"Okay but I don't have any weapons. How about hand to hand combat little boy."

"I'm not little. I'm taller than you," he said walking up to you while pointing a finger at you teasingly.

"Yes Mr. Haddock but you're younger. Don't forget that," you said smirking.

"Okay are you ready?"

You gave a short nod while launching forward. You were quick enough to dodge Hiccup's attacks with ease. Hiccup was quick at recovering from the hits you threw him.

You didn't hit him hard but just enough to make him stumble backwards.

You than kicked his leg knocking him down. You than went on top straddling his waist with a winning smirk.

"Looks like I win again."

Hiccup than flips you over being on top instead.

"I don't think so."

While you were trying to push him off he started to tickle you.

"Hic-cup s-stop please," you said between laughs.

"Than surrender and say I win."

"O-okay you win!"

He than stops and stands up bringing you up with him.

"Alright guys lets go home," Hiccup said.

Later that night everyone was sleeping peacefully. You kept tossing and turning in bed because you were having a nightmare.

Dream:
You were in the middle of your village. The whole village was burning from the flames that arose.

You saw saw your people fighting to survive this battle that was taking place. No one saw you though, they would just run through you. You than spotted your father a few yards away fighting a man.

When you walked closer you saw that the man had these dark terrifying eyes that were full of hatred.

He was big and he also had long black hair. You saw that he was a cold blooded killer even deep in his soul you knew that. You saw the man stab your mother in the stomach with such force making blood squirt out onto the man's face. Your father yelled out a battle cry rushing towards the man that killed the love of his life.

They clashed swords throwing swings at each other dangerously to close to one another. The man had the opportunity so he took that chance and sliced your father's neck causing blood to splatter all over.

Somehow the blood got on your face while you watched in terror. You than dropped to your knees and cried seeing your parents get murdered in front of your own eyes.

You heard your name being called in the distance but you weren't in the state of mind to listen. The man than walked towards you while you looked up with tears rushing down your face.

You couldn't see his face fully because your vision was blurry from the tears. The man than raised his sword above you ready to strike.

You tried moving backwards but you stopped when you felt a tree behind you. You were trapped and when he was about to bring his sword down, you heard your name being called louder and clearer which brought you out your dream.
Dream ends.

You than woke up by someone calling your name and shaking you.

When you opened your eyes you saw Hiccup holding your shoulders with a worried expression on his face.

"Hey its okay its okay," Hiccup said gently making sure you were alright.

Than the tears came making your vision blurry. You tried so hard not to cry but it just came out.

Hiccup than sat down bringing you to his chest while he wrapped you in his arms.

Your body racked with sobs making it hard to breath. You held on tight to Hiccup afraid that he would disappear. He rubbed small circles on your back trying to calm you down.

"I-I saw my p-parents get k-killed," you tried speaking but Hiccup shushed you.

"Hey its okay it was just a nightmare it wasn't real, its alright."

"I-It f-felt so r-real."

"Hey its okay Im here, and nothing is going to happen I promise."

He than laced his hand with yours while using the other to rub your back. He whispered sweet things into your ear trying to calm you down.

His warmth calmed you down, you felt safe and protected in his arms. You haven't felt like this in years, you forgot what it felt to be protected.

When you stopped crying he laid you down gently and pulled the covers over you. When he was about to walk out you grabbed his hand.

"Can you stay with me tonight? I dont want to be by myself." You spoke quietly barely above a whisper.

Hiccup obeyed and crawled into bed with you. He hesitated at first but pulled you close wrapping his arms around you making tiny circles on your side.

"Thank you," you whispered before falling asleep.
