Games and Pains

THE MEDIA THOUGH..... *SWOON* LOOK AT BILL AND TED'S OUTFITS. I WANNA DIE.

The five of us were laying on top of the band van. My stomach was aching slightly, so I was curled in on myself, head in Ted's lap, my feet on Bill. We just wanted to kill some time together. River was laying on the windshield on his stomach, his chin in his hands, and Scar was on her back next to him, also laying across the windshield.

Ted was absently stroking his fingers in my hair, and I had to fight the urge to kick like a dog the way he did. It felt really nice. Bill made patterns on my ankles, and he seemed awkwardly determined about it.

"Truth or dare, Lucky," Scar said absently, not looking at me.

"Dare," I replied easily.

She thought for a second, "Lick Dogboy here on the face."

I grimaced, "Scar, that's gross. Why'd you say that?"

She shrugged, "Wanted to see if you'd do it."

I looked up at Ted, then shrugged, asking for permission. Ted grimaced a little, then tipped his head, exposing the side of his face. Quickly, I leaned up and gave the side of his face a good long lick. Ted squealed a little and squirmed away from me.

Scarlet howled with laughter and almost rolled off the hood of the car. River grabbed the back of her shirt to keep her up.

Truth or dare didn't proceed for much longer, probably because we were in public, and knowing Team Stallyns, this was a game that would get dirty, quick.

"We'll have to have a Team Stallyns party soon, then we can play for real," Bill wiggled his eyebrows suggestively.

"I'm game," I replied, blushing a little, "Just not this coming Saturday."

"Why not?" Scar asked.

I wanted to hide and make up an excuse because I knew Bill and Ted wouldn't like that I was going to be going out with Alonso. I couldn't bring myself to lie, though.

"I've got a date," I shrugged, trying to downplay it all.

Scar yelled loudly.

"WHAT?! YOU GOT A DATE AND DIDN'T TELL ME?!" She looked wildly from Bill to Ted. "Which one stole your heart? Was it Ted? I think it's Ted."

Ted flushed brightly and looked down, but also looked a little offended that it wasn't him.

"Nah, dude, it's not me," he said quietly.

"I KNEW IT WOULD TAKE TIME, BUT PRESTON, YOU'VE OUTDONE YOURSELF!" Scar added quickly before I could stop her. Bill went red too.

"It's... it's not anyone from Team Stallyns," I stammered.

"Oh," Scar said, less than enthusiastic. "Who is it, then?"

I sighed, preparing for the worst.

"Alonso. Alonso Novack. He was in... Bystander...," I trailed off.

Ted glared and crossed his arms.

"That jerk Alonso got a date with you?" He all but turned up his nose at the thought.

"You have a problem with that?" I huffed back.

"Well.... yeah! How did a heinous jerk like him manage a date with a total babe?!" He realized what he said a minute too late, then smacked a hand over his mouth.

I was blushing fiercely at his words, and used the moment to wipe off my glasses as an excuse to look down.

"He asked, that's how," I said, barely above a whisper.

The air was tense now.

"So you'll just date any dude that asks you?" Bill said angrily.

"Technically, yes, William, that's how dates work. Will you guys stop getting so defensive?" I snarled.

River wanted to step in, I could tell, but he didn't know exactly what to say.

"Alonso is trouble, dude," Ted said softly, "I saw how he looked at you."

"Oh? Yeah? How was that? Ted, are you jealous that someone might actually be interested?"

Ted got that unmistakable kicked puppy look to him and out of instinct, I just wanted to comfort him.

"I just don't want you to get hurt, manager dude," he sighed, whispering.

"I can take care of myself, guys. I'm not five,"

River found what he wished to say and broke in.

"You're free to date whoever you want, but I have to warn you. Bystander had a bad reputation for a while of using girls, sometimes several at a time. I looked them up."

"Alonso is different," I assured them. They collectively rolled their eyes at me. "Besides, it's just dinner. Calm down, it's just a meal."

"Don't sleep with him," Bill blurted out.

I blushed, "Um, what?!"

"Don't sleep with him if he tries. You just shouldn't,"

"I wasn't going to in the first place, and that really isn't your business, Bill!" I cried.

Bill opened his mouth to comment back, when suddenly, I crumpled down, holding my lower abdomen in intense, crippling pain.

The group was quiet for a minute, unsure of what to do as my fists clenched and I started rubbing my legs together. Scarlet understood immediately and I heard her give a sympathetic groan for me.

"You okay dude...?" Ted finally asked me tentatively.

"Owww nooooooo," I whined, tears in my eyes as every muscle in my body simultaneously tightened. This was my life: completely fine, then overwhelming pain. Sometimes I hated being a girl.

I doubled over on the roof of the car, and without even thinking about it, Bill scooped me up. I didn't even want want to be touched, but I didn't push him off. I was surprised he reacted like that, considering that he looked pretty angry with me.

I could feel blood everywhere and I really wanted to die. It felt like there was a chainsaw in my kidneys. I jammed my fist to my mouth to keep from screaming.

I'd suffered in silence at school before, which was utter torture considering that I wanted to land on the floor and scream myself hoarse with pain. I didn't care if there were guys here at this point, I didn't care if they knew what this meant. All I knew was that it felt like my intestines were being ripped out.

I had my face buried in Bill's stomach to stop the screaming, and he had no idea what to do with his hands. He twitched a bit, shyly, until he rested then right where my kidneys were, and the warmth was exactly what I needed.

I whimpered as I tied to tell him that was what I wanted, and I squeezed his sweater tightly.

"You want to go home?" Scar asked.

"I don't know," I complained.

"Want to go to my place?"

"I don't knooowww,"

Ted looked at me sadly, "Is there anything I can do for you?"

I licked my lips and slowly picked up my head from Bill's stomach.

"Do you have a heating pad?"

"Actually, I know where you can get them in the mall," River said quickly. "Can you hang on for 10 minutes?"

I groaned but nodded. Anything would be better than this. River gave me a quick nod and jumped off the hood of the car, breaking into a run across the parking lot.

"Was it something you ate, dude?" Ted asked innocently.

I almost laughed, but a new wave of pain hit my lower intestines and I jammed my hands between my legs.

"I wish," I panted bitterly.

"Do you want an antacid?" Bill asked, his head tipped to the side and he kept his hands right on my kidney.

"If I thought it would... help... then I would," I grunted.

Scarlet got a little smirk on her face, then leaned over and whispered in the boys' ears.

Ted scooted back a step, eyebrows raised. He gently started rubbing my back. It was different than when he was absently tracing on my back earlier. The heels of his hands dug in and I gasped suddenly.

"Like this?" He murmured.

Scarlet laughed, "Yes Ted, just like that."

Bill wasn't able to do much, probably because I was clinging to him for something to crush in pain. He didn't really seem to mind, especially considering where my head was pressed. I didn't even have the vanity to be embarrassed; I was in too much pain to move or care.

Several minutes later, River came running back across the parking lot with a hot water bottle for me. I sat up when I heard him coming.

"I'll pay you back later," I sighed, taking the scalding bottle from him and shoving it into my pants. I didn't have the decency to care; my pain took priority over how that may have looked.

"Don't worry about it," he dismissed, "I live with girls, I know what it's like."

I temporarily blushed at the fact he figured it out so quick, but then again, I didn't put it past him. He was pretty smart.

It clicked with Bill and Ted suddenly, and Scar laughed at the look of realization on their faces.

"C'mon, sister, let's get you home to the chocolate," she teased.

I limped down, staggering on my really sore legs to the back seat. Bill and Ted took a seat on each side of me. Ted picked up my feet and laid them across his lap, letting me lay on Bill again. I was hugging Bill around the middle, with my head almost in his armpit while Ted put his warm hands on my kidneys again and pushed in.

The ride home was torture, but then again, so was the whole day when I was in crippling pain. I was just grateful that I didn't end up bleeding on the guys or the seats. Bill picked up my rabbit's foot and gently slid it into my purse after it fell out of my pocket, while Ted and River picked up me (and my bags) and took me to my house.

I told River he didn't have to carry me.

All he said was, "I know. I wanted to."
