Step One: Save Him From Your Own Group

Dallas' eyes opened slowly. She noticed it wasn't her room but Anderson's room - where she must've fallen asleep after they finished having another movie night last night.

"What time is it?" Anderson rasped. He rubbed his eyes, tiredly.

"One." Dallas mumbled, looking at the clock. Anderson sat up immediately.

"Crap I have an interview at 1:30." He swung the covers off and ran into his bathroom. Dallas sighed. They had another show tonight and she wasn't up for it. The pain in her midsection had gotten worse in the past week but she knew it was going to be gone soon.

She hadn't even thought about how she was going to get AJ's attention. Right after she made that bet with Audrey she immediately regretted it knowing that she probably wouldn't make AJ fall for her but of course she wasn't going to tell Audrey that.

Ken came out of the bathroom, slipping on a sweatshirt.

"I'll see you later I guess." Dallas said, sitting up. He walked over to her and kissed her cheek.

"See you later. Stay as long as you want." He rushed out of the room. She sat there staring at the wall. She had so many things going through her mind and couldn't fix any of the problems either.

There was a small vibration that rang through the room. Dallas reached on the night stand and grabbed her phone.

"Hel-" Dallas answered when she saw it was Brooke. Brooke interrupted her immediately wanting to tell her what Mark and the rest of the group were planning for tonight.

"Did you know that Mark is planning another attack on AJ when he announces his injury tonight?" Brooke spoke quickly as if she was worried for him. Dallas' eyebrows shot up and she immediately became alert.

"They're what?! Come on didn't they do enough two weeks ago?" She got up from the bed and started walking back and forth in the small area.

"I don't know the details but I do have a plan." On the other side of the line Brooke was smirking, knowing that this was going to be an amazing plan.

"That doesn't sound good, Brooke. your plans are horrible." Dallas said, rolling her eyes.

"Just trust me." Brooke told her. Dallas sighed, softly.

"What is it?" Dallas questioned.

"Tonight when they go..."

Dallas slipped on her black cut over her white V-neck and sighed. she trusted Brooke with this plan but she thought it was a little bit over the top.

It could possibly get her kicked out of Aces & Eights and that's not worth the two grand.

"Hey is everything okay?" Devon asked. She jumped in fright, not realizing that he was there. She turned to face him and smiled softly.

"Fine. Just a little tired." She lied. Devon looked at her skeptically. he didn't believe her one bit. She's been real distant lately. Not going out with the group, not going to meetings, and just not acting like well Dallas.

"You missed a meeting today." He said, crossing his arms.

"Yeah I went with Ken to his interview." She lied once again.

"Dallas what's really going on?" He questioned. Dallas bit her lip. She couldn't tell him. She didn't want anyone in the group to know about the bet besides Brooke. just as she opened her mouth Anderson walked in.

"Are you guys ready? Its time to go out there." Ken said. Devon gave Dallas one last look before walking away.

Dallas walked slowly behind Devon. She was so nervous about everything which was so unlike her.

Brooke smiled towards her when they arrived near the bikes.

"You ready?" Brooke asked, looking around. Dallas shrugged.

"I have to get this done so I don't care anymore." Dallas mumbled, crossing her arms.

"What are you scared about?" Brooke asked, immediately. She knew her best friend too well. Dallas didn't mumble unless she was nervous or scared which was close to never.

"Everything. What happens if they kick me out of the group?" Dallas questioned, quietly.

"They won't trust me Dallas, nothing is going to happen besides getting his attention." Brooke whispered, quickly. Anderson put his arm around Dallas' shoulders.

"Ready to go babe?" He asked. Dallas smiled fakely and nodded. Brooke looked at Dallas basically telling her that everything was going to be fine.

Dallas walked over to Anderson's bike with him by her side. He got on first and she got on behind him, wrapping her now shaky hands around his torso.

"Are you cold?" He asked her. She shook her head.

"Not really." She said, quietly. After everyone got on the bikes, they took off into the arena. She felt a pit at the bottom of her stomach. A feeling that she hasn't felt ever since that day.

They all parked their bikes as the crowd booed like every week. Dallas got off Anderson's bike slowly and made her way to around the ring. AJ was in the ring, standing in the corner rolling his eyes.

Breathe Dallas, breathe. She told herself.

Mark grabbed a microphone, smiling like an idiot. They all entered the ring one after the other. Dallas was the last one in and she couldn't help but stare at AJ.

"AJ, AJ, AJ, do you really think these people of this stupid town," Mark referred to the crowd at the Orlando arena tonight. They all booed louder," care that you won't be here for a month?"

"If anything they should be happy. I mean I am, not dealing with you for an entire month is like a gift." Mark continued," But at the same time... I can't wait for you to get back, I mean someone has to be the little boy of TNA right?"

Dallas bit her lip in the corner of the ring where she sat. She looked over at AJ who didn't look affected by anything they were saying.

"Anything else?" AJ asked, uninterested. Dallas laughed, slightly.

"Yes actually. AJ you might as we'll stay at home because when you come back, it will be a living hell for you so why don't you just stay at home with your wife...or is it ex wife now-" Mark was interrupted when AJ's fist connected with the side of his face.

AJ was now furious. He didn't like when these stupid people brought his personal life out on TV. It didn't belong there.

Dallas stood up immediately knowing that all hell was about to break loose. All members of the group went after AJ, taking him down.

She couldn't help but flinch as all those boots attacked AJ's stomach and his injured leg. Brooke was staring at her from the other side of the ring. Her best friend was worried and she could tell but she wasn't doing anything.

Dallas ran in between Mark and AJ when he took out the hammer. AJ was sitting in the corner holding his shoulder.

"Mark you've done enough! There is one of him and eight of you guys! Give him a break he's already injured!" Dallas yelled at him. Everyone's eyes widened besides Brooke's even AJ who was watching the whole seen unfold in front of him.

"What is going on with you?" Mark asked her. He was completely shocked at how she was acting.

"Nothing is wrong with me! But something is wrong with you! Do you enjoy going around hurting people?!" Dallas crossed her arms. Mark was just staring at her. Dallas knew he wasn't getting an answer soon.

She rolled her eyes and walked over to the corner that AJ was in.

"What are you doing?" AJ asked her. Dallas stuck her hand out towards him.

"I'm helping you." Dallas said. AJ looked around her and saw all the members of Aces & Eights staring at them. He took her hand, hesitantly.

"Thanks, I guess." He tried to pull himself up but failed. His leg was hurting ten times worse than what it was before.

"Here wait." She said, as she saw him struggling. She gave one last look to Mark who was now freaking furious.

Dallas rolled out of the ring and helped AJ out after her. She put his arm around her shoulders.

"I still don't get why you’re doing this." AJ told her. He was hopping on one leg.

“Don’t ask questions just be lucky I helped you out.” Dallas mumbled, looking down. She had to use everything in her power to stop herself from letting AJ fall and running back to the ring to apologize. But then she remembered, this was to prove Audrey wrong not about the damn money and it made her keep going up that ramp with AJ by her side.

Once she got backstage, she immediately tried looking for a storage crate to place AJ down on.

“Over there is fine.” AJ pointed to the crate next to the interview area. Dallas placed AJ down on the crate.

“May I ask why?” AJ asked, raising an eyebrow. Dallas shrugged, immediately looking down. This was so unlike her getting nervous over no reason she usually had a ton of confidence but now for some reason different form her first encounter with AJ she was actually nervous,” There has to be a reason. You wouldn’t just turn your back oon your group like that.”

Her head immediately shot up,” Woah, I did not turn my back on them I just felt like helping you because unlike them I don’t like seeing people in pain because I know how it feels.” She mumbled the last part immediately regretting what was spilling out of her mouth.

“Well for whatever reason you did it because I definitely know it wasn’t because you hate watching them hurt me, thank you.” He smiled. Dallas couldn’t help but smile back. It was like his smile was just contagious.

“No problem. Now if you excuse me, I have to go get my so called group back.” Dallas was about to walk away when AJ stopped her.

“Wait. I owe you, for what you did tonight.” He said. She shook her head. Even though on the inside she knew this was going exactly as she planned.

“Don’t worry about. It isn’t that big a deal.” She looked up at him.

“No I definitely owe you. Maybe I can take you out to a movie or something?” AS soon as those words escaped his lips Dallas could see the small blush starting to form on AJ’s cheeks.

“Okay.” She smiled. She thought that she might maybe had a chance to win this bet.

“Here let me give you my number and you can text me when you’re free.” He took her arm and she immediately felt tingles run down her arm. AJ took a pen that was next to him and wrote the number on her arm.

“I guess I’ll see you next week.” Dallas said. He nodded. She walked away without taking her eyes off of him which lead to her tripping over a cable. AJ laughed, shaking his head while her cheeks turned a bright red color.

“Watch where you’re going Dallas.” AJ laughed. Dallas fake smiled and turned around to walk away. Immediately after she turned the corner she ran into Brooke.

“Brooke, you scared me.” Dallas said. Brooke smirked while staring at Dallas’ red cheeks.

“Dallas you’re blushing.” Brooke teased. Dallas immediately covered her face.

“No I’m not.” Dallas denied. Brooke laughed which only made Dallas turn a brighter red.

“Aww Dallas.” Brooke continued teasing. Dallas rolled her eyes.

“You’re mean. I’m walking away.” Dallas mumbled, walking away. Once she got away from Brooke she smiled. She knew that Mark was going to be freaking pissed with her but she got AJ’s attention and maybe even a date with him and she was even more confident about this bet.

It’s only week one, thirteen more to go.
